New study released.

On MSN's site there is a link that states about a new study. This study showed that blood pressure decreased with chocolate consumption. Of course, they did not study the LG VX8500. With that phone blood pressure increases with "consumption".

New phone going back - what else?

I received the 8600 nearly a couple weeks ago and overall I really like it. The PHONE part of it is great. However, I wasn't aware of the lack of support for Vista and WMP 11. I haven't been able to find ANY fixes for this (and I'm not about to learn some kind of hacker skills to do it either). I bought the music essentials kit assuming I could transfer mp3's from my computer to the phone. That's a no go. The phone has been out since late last year and Vista has been out since early this year. I'm very disapointed in the lack of support at this point, which gives me an uneasy feeling when thinking of using this phone for the next couple years. I finally wanted a music phone, but this might not be it.

Anyway, if I take it with me to a Veri...

iPhone Exclusive Deal w/ATT Appears to be for 2 Years, Not Five

Those silly ATT sources, giving people the impression that their iPhone exclusive is for 5 years, when its really only for two.

And from an investment site (Motley Fool):

...a significant portion will switch to AT&T, as it is the only cellular service permitted to sell the iPhone for two years. Polls have shown that nearly 40% of those planning to buy the iPhone are not yet AT&T customers.

And from FOX News:

Apple has signed up top U.S. telecoms operator AT&T Inc. (T) in an exclusive deal for at least two years to sell the phone in the United States, where customers willing to sign a two-year contract are expected to pay $500 to $600 for a handset.

The big 8350 secret?

Well we know that the 8300 is discontinued and Verizon is trying to get rid of their stock (buy 1 get one free!) but where is the 8350? We have seen the new Chocolate which is coming out soon but I have not seen any picture other than the pink back one. Does anyone have any info on this release? Thanks!

protection plan?

I currently have the equipment protection plan and the LG VX-9400. I dropped the phone and now the rotation is very loose. Kind of getting sick of this phone and want something different. Any Customer Care people out there know if I would be able to swap out for the Moto SLVR when I go to get a replacement??

I got to play with the 8550

Only had it for about 5 minutes. Did not make any calls. All i have to say is that if this thing is not buggy it's going to make a great phone.

When you press the clear or Speakerphone button you get a nice vibration in the phone.

Directional pad is more i-pod like that you can actually roll your finger around it and move through the menus.

From what i can tell the UI is the same as previous choclates.

I think this ones going to be a keeper. 😁

Oh and by the way form factor is great. Very small. the spring action on the slide is very sturdy. and it has very rounded edges. Makes it nice to hold in your hand.

You've Been Able to Upgrade After 20 Months Since 6/1, but VZW Online Still Hasn't Gotten the Memo..

What is up with VZW online?

I check my account, and it still has the old 22 month upgrade date, even though its been policy that you can upgrade after 20 months on a 2-yr contract since June 1st.

What da heck? VZW really this slow to update accounts? 😲

If this causes me any probs upgrading at the VZW Store, I'm gonna be pretty ticked. That would be the kind of silliness I'd expect from ATT or Radio Shack or something. ☹️

Hope it isn't that bad.

Verizon's 2007 Mistakes??

Whatcha think?

1)Passing on the iPhone?

2)Not Buying Alltel? (although they are probably still for sale)

In reality, is Verizon's passing on the iPhone seems like a poor choice from a business stand point? So what Apple wants control and a peice of the profits from the monthly access.... the hype, free press, etc seems to be paying off even if it is mostly to Apple. Maybe Apple should have gone MVNO on Verizon's network instead. 500,000 customer in 48 would beat Amp'd growth rate.

AT&T bought another 1.7 million customers with the Dobson buyout. This helps AT&T hold on to that #1 Crown for another few years, but if VZW bought Alltel's 10 million.... AT&T would be 2nd that gap would be hard to close, even with the iphone.

Stingy AT&T Spoiled the iPhone Party

From theregister.com

Stingy AT&T spoiled the iPhone party
By Andrew Orlowski
Published Tuesday 3rd July 2007 13:34 GMT

Much of the urban United States has enjoyed indoor toilets for some years now, and - Hallelujah! - thanks to Apple, it finally has a modern mobile phone, too.

While Apple shifted over 500,000 iPhones this weekend, its partner AT&T didn't keep its part of the bargain. And that's because it couldn't, a research note by DKIB today suggests.

Data congestion left the mobile operator red-faced, and buyers fuming. Because most of AT&T's network uses an ancient, time sharing 2.5G technology - placing the USA on a par with Cambodia and Sierra Leone - the data congestion impacted voice callers, too.

(Apple decided ag...

Switch

I am thinking about switching from Verizon to Sprint because I want to get the treo 755p and I hear their data plan is cheaper. I like Verizon(good coverage, good customer service) so I am torn.

Does anyone have an opinion? Should I or shouldn't I?

Egg on my face

Well I got the iphone and I’m completely disappointed. Is the phone cool heck Yes, but the call clarity stinks!!! I do not know if I got a lemon or if it’s the ATT network but the voice quality is the pits. Maybe I’m just used to Verizon and this is how GSM sounds, or maybe the iphone just has muffled call clarity, I dunno but I don’t want to struggle hearing people anymore πŸ‘Ώ πŸ‘Ώ Back to verizon 😒
