I know Verizon finally got into Tulsa, Oklahoma recently, but does anyone know what the timetable is for Oklahoma City, if there is one? I have been wanting Verizon for a long time and am just wondering if it's ever going to come to the OKC area. Thanks a lot for your help guys!

Why is it that almost every time there is a new phone released it is available on at&t or t-mobile and not Verizon? For example, the BB Curve, the BB 8820, the BB Pearl, several Samsung phones, etc.
For all of those Verizon employess, don't bother with "it's the better network" answer. Just want to know why/when Verizon will offer their customers more choices in multi-media phones.

Hi! I was wondering if anyone knew how or where to download software so that I can connect my phone to my computer. I have a data cable already ( the data cable for my camera fits the phone and when i plug it in my computer tries to instal new hardware and my phone beeps and then when I unplug it i notice that it has been charged as well) anyways I was wondering if you knew of any sites to go to to download this? Any help would be great! I have a memory card, but i just dont want to buy an adapter since the camera cord is working ( at least i hope it will!)

Hey all. I've had my Samsung u540 for about a week now, and I LOVE it, except for one annoying thing... about 1 out of every 3 calls where I use speakerphone, the person I'm talking to on the other end complains of excessive echo and feedback, to the point where I have to turn speakerphone OFF (the problem is bad even with speaker on low).

Anyone else encounter the same issue? On the other 2 out of 3 calls, there is literally no problem.

I do realize that echo cancellation measures/software are not perfect, and you will prolly get occasional echo/feedback with almost any speakerphone... my old Nokia 6256's speakerphone would do the same thing. But it would happen less often.

I do have what I believe is latest version of the u540 sof...

Do you have the ability to apply any in-store purchases to a customer's bill? I am in the agent market, and we were told that they got rid of the ability to put any purchases on your wireless bill that was done in a corp store. We just had a customer come in and chew our butts because we don't have the ability to apply any purchases on to his monthly bill, said he was going to go somewhere that could. I wanted to yell back good luck, but I couldn't remember if Corp put their foot down about that or not. I am in the IL/WI market. Just curious.....

My girlfriend's brother got one for his "business" although he really probably got it because he's a snob and needs all the latest and greatest stuff. Anyway, most of I noticed had already been talked about. These are the things worth noting (in my opinion):

The screen is pretty amazing even when it's grimy.

The internet service really is painfully slow. It's like a moderate dial up internet connection. There must be a cache in the phone because pages that you had already been to loaded up pretty quickly, but new pages took quite a while. The zoom/auto-focus feature was really cool.

The thing that really got me that I haven't seen anyone mention is the full screen aspect. I hadn't been able to figure out how Apple managed to...

This is more of a TEC question but here goes:

1. I had a relatively new RAZR V3M with the 5.99 insurance.
2. Decided I wanted an LG 8700 and did a 10 month early upgrade.
3. Moved the insurance to the 8700
4. RAZR still in my posession and has not been activated on anyone elses account.

I have a question about my slvr. I have a data cable from my camera that fits into my slvr. Will it work or will anything bad happen if I plug my phone in thru that data cable and into my computer? I think i will try it unless anyone objects. I have insurance so it will only cost me 50 bucks if i do....

Just wondering, even if I have unlimited text, will I still be charge per minute per connection to Mobile AIM? Such as refreshing the contact list, and so on?

Well, between the Amp'd debacle and the iPhone launch weekend helping out ATT's Q2 results, looks like its going to be one of those rare quarters where Verizon loses to someone else in net customer adds.

Personally, I think that's actually a GOOD thing. VZW needs a kick in their complacency. Customers endlessly complain that:

- the data plans are not competitive, price-wise
- the phone lineup, while improved, is still lacking
- VZW prepay is lame beyond recognition
- crippled Bluetooth pisses them off

... and yet its like Verizon is sitting there with their hands over their ears, yelling "Lalalalalala, I can't HEAR you (now)." 🤣

Hi everyone,
One of my friends was traveling by airplane the other day. He said he had his phone on standalone mode for music, but the flight attendant made him turn it off completely.

So I was wondering, as far as I can tell, there should be no problem if the transceiver on the phone is turned off (since it's not transmitting). I'll be traveling in a couple of weeks, so I wanted to know - I want to watch movies on my enV while on the plane using my bluetooth stereo headset. Will there be any problem if I do this with my phone on standalone/music mode? Or with using bluetooth stereo headset?

And if I do have a problem, what's the best way to handle it? I don't want to cause a commotion, but there shouldn't be a problem since t...

Which phone takes the kake..? All have great perks..all are very pretty...and all lack something...Apple + screen resolution and multitouch but no 3g. HTC Win mobile pro and touchflo...but bad screen resolution...LG great phone looks great 5.0 cam with flash..dumb UI...

I know that forumns can have all kinds of speculations, guesses and misinformation in here, but I saw multiple posts on at least 3 different sites saying that Verizon was going to be releasing the Audiovox/UTstarcom VX6800 and the Samsung SCH-I760 today, but I'm looking at press releases and websites and I see nothing. Does anyone have any updated release information???????? Are these phones still coming or are they caught in the wash of that EVDO Qualcom/Broadcom patent dispute or what?
