I am a Verizon Agent & I have a question, is there a way to move a sound file from my sound menu to the my ringtone menu (hacking, changing file type)?

I am new to this whole phone thing, and wish to gather some information from those more skilled: my employer is wanting me to sell this form of insurance, rather than the corporate insurance. I haven't seen it before, and don't know much about it. Any experience in the selling market with how it's been, and what feedback has been given by the customer?

Their main selling point is that they will never drop an individual's coverage; the deductible just goes up $75 with each claim on certain plans; if the phone is lost or water damaged, add and additional $40 to that $75. Whelp bad news, just a heads up. Get your resume in order guys/gals. Within the next few months, Solectron will no longer be a contracted by VZW. They knew it was coming but just found out last week. I work in HR and in my region, we are putting together packages now that will be offered to the field employee's and management.

I don't check these forums but felt the urge to pass the word because of the slimey way they are handling the situation. 👿

So I activated an unlcoked/unbranded SLVR L7C on my verizon account. And the strange thing is that with this phone I can actually receive picture messages, but I can't send them. I have had other unlocked phones in the past, and the only thing that worked was text messages. Is there a setting I can change to send as well since receiving them works??? I turned off EV-DO, does that have anything to do with it? Thanks for any help...

P.S. Just for kicks I went to my local Verizon agent in the mall to ask this question and showed him the phone. After he almost fainted when he saw the phone, he was very quick to say he couldn't help me and that I had to go see a Cingular or T-Mobile rep because they were the ones selling those phones. ...

I currently am the owner of a Moto Q. My current job calls for my e-mail use. Thought I would accomplish this through my PDA. Am I better off to use my Moto Q over say a blackberry 8703? Also what is the cost for using my Q for e-mail, as opposed to using a 8703 blackberry?? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Well since Mobile TV is soon to launch I have been over flowed with information. Recently I receive maps of coverage and didn’t see Chicago and any areas around it under the new coverage nor did I see it coming soon section I am wondering if anyone also got this information and didn’t see their City.

Are these 2 phones still being offered in stores? I would assume the 830 would be the newer of the two but Verizon's website only has the 730 listed and it's while supplies last. Looks like a nice device but wasn't sure if I could even get one without ordering online or what is going on with the 830.

Hi everyone, I am new here and am itching to get a new smart phone. I have a Treo 650, love the PDA/cellphone combo and don't use email or Internet on it.
I was at a Verizon store Thursday of last week and the sales rep tells me to wait on upgrading because there is a new Treo being tested. He claims it will be without an antenna and will be a bit thinner. Due sometime mid-to-late 2007.
Has anyone else heard such a thing?

When my area pres was in i asked about the rumor of an "ALLTEL" Merger and she smiled and said rumors are a funny thing and left?

Ok I am on my second RAZR. I had my original for less than a year and then it died and I got a free FRU replacement. I got the first one on Dec 24th 2005 on a 2 year agreement and I have had uninterrupted Teca 5 insurance on it.

Now the number 6 button and the send button work 25% of the time so needless to say I need a replacement.
Will It be a free replacement or will I have to pay 50 dollars for the FRU?
Just curious.

I'll admit that I've paid almost no attention to cell phone technology until recently. As a matter of fact, I've only owned a cell phone for about two years, as my job always provided me with cell phones before that. Now, it's about time to get my next Verizon phone (my "new every two" kicks in at the end of March.) I've found that, despite having lots of training in photography and fancy equipment to boot, many of the best and most-cherished photos that I take are with my cell phone because it's always there when I need a camera. The downside is the fact that these photos are basically worthless as anything other than an image on the 3" phone screen (its top resolution is 640x480...pretty crappy.) So I'll be buying the best camera phone tha...
