Sad news for Verizon Wireless to lose this author...

Jon Fortt, the author of the online site The Utility Belt, has bounced from Verizon Wireless to Sprint. I'll let you hear right from the horse's mouth so to speak...

Ditching Verizon Wireless for Sprint:

The sweet data deal

"I was already itching to ditch Verizon (VZ).
My wife and I had switched from Sprint (S) two years ago, because Sprint service was spotty in the apartment where she lived before we got married. But it was time to switch back.

Two years back we got on a Verizon Wireless family plan and commenced to paying through the nose – between $155 and $170 per month, typically – for two lines with enoug...

Altell Phone on VZW Network?

I was told that I could take an Altell SLVR and use it on the Verizon Network? Anyone know if this can be done?? or have attempted it?? In theory it should work they both are on the CDMA network. I have the Razr now, its okay. But I have to say i absolutly detest the Verizon Operating system that's on all the phones now.

Check if a Number is IN

Hello,

I created this little program to check whether a number is in or not. It is called Are You IN?. You can get it from http://www.zerodefecit.com/doku.php?id=are_yo u_in - it explains it in much more detail.

To get the program all you need to do is click "Download" on the page above, then on the page it brings you to, if you already have the prerequisites installed (it should tell you if you dont), just hit "Install" and it should launch. The application should also be in the start menu under "Anthony Quarella > Are You IN".

I will also be coming up with a new version which will include a "queue", so you can check a bunch of numbers at once.

Hope you like it,

Anthony Quarella

Hey Wireless Buddy

Just a question, how bored did you have to be to post a phone review on the Kyocera 2235 back in Sept of 2006, about 4 years after it came out.

Just curious

PDA Plan Through Verizon

If I joined Verizon and got a phone like the Pantech 820, 6700, Treo, how much a month would an unlimited PDA plan cost me? Would this enable me to browse the web 24/7, send and receive email 24/7 without being charged minutes? And how would I do text messaging or send pics?
