Skype petitions FCC for open cellular access
The "Carterfone" rules, which were enacted in 1968 during the old AT&T's monopoly of the phone industry, allow consumers to hook any device up to the phone network, so long as it did not harm the network. Prior to these rules, AT&T provided all telephones and devices connected to the telephone network, and it routinely sued companies that sold unauthorized products that could attach to the network.

Do you believe: “$15.00 a month is a bargain for such a revolutionary breakthrough”
Or
“$15.00 a month is a rip-off for TV on a two inch screen”
I have mixed feelings. It truly is amazing that you can get high quality real-time television any time anywhere on a mobile handset. On the other hand, after the novelty wears off, how much TV will you watch on such a tiny screen?

But it doesn't break down what bundles I can choose from other than the $10 one. Anyone?

I received much criticism for my post, but as I pointed out, their people READ PS forums, to see what everyone thinks and is saying about their products. While I can't take credit for my posts being the reason for the change, I'm glad to see it happen.
I believe that fair criticism is healthy, as well as fair debate on issues. I think one reason that the four major carriers do offer better products than say, satellite t.v. is in no small part because of THIS forum.
I use Nextel because of my work and communication needs, but enjoy seeing what other carriers are doing...

Corporate wireless management company mindWireless has stepped into the fierce debate over which carrier truly has the fewest dropped calls, offering up its own data that shows Sprint Nextel Corp.’s CDMA network usually is the most reliable.
MindWireless said it used a sample of more than 80 million calls placed and received between Jan. 1 and June 30, 2006, as the basis for its conclusions.
