My account says that I am eligible for New Every Two discount on 3/12/07 and eligible to upgrade with discounted pricing on 3/24/07.
Can someone please tell me what the difference is? Is one better than the other? I am wanting to upgrade to a vx6700/6800. I think the 6800 is suppose to be released this month. Will they discount the 6700s to get rid of them? If so, should I go for that or pay for the 6800?

Whatever happened to EV-DV? In 2003, when Verizon opted to pursue the EV-DO path, Sprint initially snubbed EV-DO in favor of the more efficient EV-DV path. Of course, while Sprint waited upon EV-DV to be developed, Verizon launched EV-DO and it became clear that if Sprint did not get into the EV-DO game they would fall far behind. Sprint did enter the fray and quickly launched EV-DO. Sprint's progress is quite impressive considering its late start. Now that EV-DO Rev A with VoiP is the latest standard, I wonder if Sprint will still pursue the EV-DV path? This is further complicated by Wi-MAX. Has you guys noticed that when you go to a VZ store that the customer service is HORRIBLE.... they are ALWAYS packed never have the right answers and the wait is horrible...paying a bill takes forever.. at least there is online bill pay....To bad the customer service sucks cause the coverage here in NJ is Awsome.. guess there is some give and take....

I just jumped from VZ to Cingy (Treo 650 to Balcjack).

In general I'm happy so far but I noticed that many of my friends and family who are still on VZ complain when talking to me about voice quality on their side. I can hear them exceptionally well (clear, strong), much better than when I had VZ phones. But they complain that my voice breaks especially when I speak fast.

That happens only with VZ. When I talk to somebody on Cingular or T-Mobile (don't have anybody on Sprint) they have no problems.

So is it a known problem between Cingy and VZ (at least in NYC) or is it Blackjack to be blamed?

The much decried 'gold'. Not as bad as I thought it would be. I mentioned that it looked like the Chrysler/Jeep Khaki color. I had the phone when I stop by the Jeep dealer this week and held it up to a Khaki Jeep Compass..close color. So, for my mind, I'm cool. The problem is, they call it gold and we all think of gaudy. Cell manufacturers still need to learn how to work with nomenclature...give the color a nice name...So, color, not bad.

Form:
Thin as a RAZR. Didn't realize how thin. A bonus. Very solid. It feels substantial.

Function:
Outer touch sensitive keys perform well.
The dual flip; solid. Despite reports to the contrary, it does not...

besides the A990 ... I have that phone and to be honest .. There are two things I look at most when using a phone
the Camera and TXT messaging

The Camera on the A990 is awesome but the lack of adding words to the txt is really a pain in the *** .. and where I would like to get something new I havent read anything about another Verison phone with a good camera

I know the new ENV has a 2MP camera but is it a good 2MP .. I have a Cingular 8525 (work pays) and they state there is a 2MP camera but let me tell you .. the PIC are horrible .. I'm afraid of getting a ENV or something like that and have that camera on it

After about 2 months of use, the vibrator on a Samsung N330 becomes an annoying buzzer however none of my Motorola phones, V710, E815, V3c ever did that.

Aren't vibrators generally supposed to be silent, and wouldn't mechanical noise be considered a manufacturer's defect?

I'll try to explain this as simply as possible, bear with me.

I have a new Dell and bought the verizon express card for wireless access (we already had 4 other phones, 2 Razrs, 1 chocolate & an LG so this made the 5th line).

I wanted to be able to share the card with my other laptop but no matter how I've configured it, it will not recognize the card. I DO NOT want to have to buy another card and pay an additional $60 a month. I've looked into a wireless router but the only one I find is for a PC wireless card.

Anyone have any solutions. This didn't solve all my problems since we are still 'fighting' over using one internet connection.

Guess I shoulda got the PC card after all but thought I'd stick with the newest technolo...
