Does anyone know if/when Blackberry will have a 4G phone that works on Verizon's LTE 4G network? When and what model it will be?

I have back read pages and pages hoping to find my answer, but nothing. So here goes...

We have no data plan our our current family plan. I cannot upgrade my phone til next year. My father has a verizon Palm phone he no longer uses, and has offered it to me so I can text my preteen easier (my phone does not have a querty keyboard and makes texting her hard for me). Can I add his phone to my plan without adding data? I know a new phone like it would have to add data, but that is not an option for me right now. Thanks for answering a stupid question from a mom stuck in the dark ages with her current phone. LOL. 🤭

I am new to Verizon, and I have been a long time GSM and then iDEN user, so bear with me!

How often do I need to update my roaming capability on my phone? I did it when I first got the phone and then two weeks later I traveled to an "Extended Service" area, and while I had reception, I could not use my phone, I kept getting weird error messages ranging from "Cingular Wireless no longer offers roaming to your handset" to "Thank you for calling Verizon Wireless, your prepaid balance is zero dollars." I concluded that I should have updated my roaming capabilities before traveling there.

So my question is, how often and when should I update my phone's roaming capabilities?

And by the way, I am loving Verizon's service. My signal stre...

I'm a former VZW employee and have been out of the game for 2 years now. The tech has advanced and I don't have the knowledge base I used to. I need some help.

I need a basic camera flip phone that can handle VZNav that has decent battery life. I'm a simple guy with simple needs. I currently have a Nokia Dark Knight phone if that helps with the kind of phone I am looking for.

My wife is looking for a phone preferably with a QWERTY keyboard. She currently has an ENV2. She doesn't need a touch screen or internet or anything else except for a QWERTY keyboard and ability to use VZNAV.

Any suggestions?????

Any way to adjust this? Mines very touchy, bought one for my son and it's not so much, seems easier to work with. I looked in settings but don't remember seeing any settings for this.

this will be my 4th one. i have had it since April of 2010. It is still under Manufacturer warranty. 1st one died of speaker failure. 2nd one died of button failure on the qwerty keyboard, and this one died of touchscreen failure. Oh, add one more that i received as a CLNR that had a big dent in the back. Sent that one right back. Of course, it is my luck that it dies the night before christmas eve. Overnight shipping will probably not get here til Tuesday. i need my phone. cant use it at all the way it is....Should i really complain and try to get another phone like the fascinate or something else, or just be happy if they have anothere droid in stock to give me???? what phone would you bitch enough to get? if that is even possib...

Why is it that Verizon never gets the latest BB's like AT&T? Any work on Verizon getting a version of the Torch in the coming months. I love BB and am due for an upgrade but am holding off to see if anything new is coming out. Want the Torch for Verizon, if not I would have to get the Bold. Hoping for good news.

...data plans were not even mandatory on smartphones? Somewhere there is a list of older smartphones that one can activate with a Pay per use data feature. I think the Centro is the last one. If I can find an extended battery for mt XV6900, I think I will activate it on my voice line.

Heard that there are some problems with apps from the droid market not being compatible with the droid X, any truth to this? If so, what percentage?

Any word on the Android 2.3 upgrade for the Droids? I heard the Droid1 may not be able to get it because of hardware limitations but what about Droid2 and others?

I have been using BB for years and it is great for work, but would like to have a little more fun with my phone. My company is Beta testing the Travelers app so we can use the Droid phones. My question is which one do I get. While most sales reps push X or Fascinate, I have to do a lot of typing of emails (long emails) and I am afraid that typing on just touch screen would grow tiresome. In my little exposure to just the touch screens I hit the wrong key 50% of the time and my messages look like my 1 year old typed it. So knowing my phone is mainly for work but also for killing time in airports and on the crapper, which phone should I get?
