Okay so a friend of mines who works for a Verizon kiosk in a Sam's club is telling me when I get my phone if I have any issues with it Verizon corp stores wont assist cause I didn't purchase from them...Is there any truth to this?

Ok, I have run into this more then I care to mention....

Customer comes into the store with their phone, whenever they make a phone call it says "We are sorry, we are unable to authenticate your phone".

I take the phone, manually go into the programming and find out that the A-Key is gone, I call customer care and ask for the 26 digit A-Key so I can reprogram it into the phone, which I have been doing for hte past 5 years and 9/10 times fixes the problem.

Most of the time the customer care rep has no idea what I am talking about, they have never heard of an A-Key. After they attempt to trouble shoot the phone theirselves (all the time I am telling them how to fix it) they send me to tech support, after I explain to Tech support that...

I'm so glad we've been able to move forward from this awkward program.

My fiance and I have been discussing tethering and if its allowed, we both have droids... I told him I thought it was against the rules and they can either charge you for doing it or cancel you and make you pay the etf, he says they've opened it up and we can do it now.... who is right?

Is there another keyboard I can get from the Droid Marketplace that is better than the standard one? I am not good at the swype and maybe I'm nitpicking but I keep hitting the period key when typing a message, so is there a keyboard that has the period and all the other stuff on another screen?

I am surprised that no one made the leap that this will be the Verizon iphone.

Looks like an Incredible with a key board and sim cards to me, really cool.

Just wondering for those who know the correct answer for this. I signed my contract back in December 09 last year and now i have about almost 12 months left (12/20/11) So i am curious if i make a switch to a different carrier how much would my ETF be? The rep back in June told me 110 so its not 5 dollars deducted each month.

I am currently on a family plan, I would like to take over MY line under my name. IF I have my phone can I still uuse that on the NEW account, and still get my discount when the LTE network is realeased OR do I HAVE to get a new phone when I start my service or risk loosing my discount?

I am looking currently at VZW (Who im currently with and get OK reception with)...And I just signed up for at&t to see how the service was and get OK reception there as well.

My concern is the future, who will progress more? With What? I know VZW is realeasing its LTE network, will this help with coverage? Someone told me because it operates on the old TV antenna network that there won't be any dead zones anywhere. how much truth is there to that?

I also noticed with vzw that I drop my data connection more than my voice connection...

Let me start by saying, to each his own. I'm glad you guys have empathy, sympathy, ect.. But I just don't. Not for grown people who know exactly what they're doing.

You are making excuses for your customers ignorance. Customers know the stipulations of a free phone, or a discounted phone, maybe 5 years ago they didn't, but they do now. Even so, this is not a free pass for ANYONE to act like a complete idiot when they do not get there own way. If a customer is going to be a complete jerk, I'm not going to bother to give them my best customer service. It goes both ways. And the only reason some reps are forced into the "every customer every time...

The answer is very simple, IGNORANT CUSTOMERS

Ive seen a lot of posts complaining about Verizon reps coming off as rude or arrogant, well IMO, customers have a lot to do with this, here is my small list.

1. People treat the wireless industry different then other companies. Ive never seen someone drop there TV in water and go back to Best Buy and demand a new one because its not working. Ive also never seen someone smash there car into a tree and take it back to the dealer with no auto-insurance and demand another one. Its quite absurd the way that customers act. Ive been a customer at Wal-Mart for years, this does not however entitle me to free things. Customers act like complete fools when they come into Verizon locations.

I'm ready to swap out my BB Storm, quite possibly for Droid 2 Global.

Since the announcement of phones becoming available for LTE in February I'm thinking it might make sense to wait. I'm working on the assumption that the current Droids including the Droid 2 Global are not LTE ready/compatible.

Just wondering what some of you think since you're all way more knowledgeable on these matters than me. Thx in advance.
