Need New Phone Advice

I plan on getting a new phone in the near future and would appreciate any advice. My main objective is to purchase a new phone that has good reception, excellent call clarity, good bluetooth and is reliable. I looked at the LG 8600 when it first hit the VZW stores and it seemed very delicate. I also looked at the KRZR and it seemed to have a better build quality. Both were fingerprint magnets. I do not text very often and the camera is not that important. Can you recommend something that is out already or is there something new/better on the horizon? Thanks for your help.

YouTube video clips

I heard on the news that Verizon Wireless struck a deal with YouTube to be able to watch some of the most watched videos from Youtube right on your phone. It didn't mention that it would be an addition to Vcast though. Anybody heard about this? Its not supposed to go into play until next month they said.

NEW PHONE FOR VERIZON!!!! FLIPS 2 WAYS SCH-U740

😁 Just found this early this morning at slashphone.com This phone actually opens like a flip phone but has a 2 way hinge and can open like the lg 9800 and 9900 for texting. Also has a query keyboard. Does anyone out there know anything else about this phone? Camera is supposed to be a 1.3 mp. After much searching, I saw somewhere that it may be released on December 4--which is this coming Monday. I was actually going to get the 9900 today, but maybe I should wait until Monday. Please, respond with all information!!! Also, I couldn't find an indepth review on this phone yet. phonescoop doesn't even have it listed yet. Just thought everyone would like to know. Thanks for reading!!! 😛 😉

Best Text Messaging/IM plan for 9900?

I'm going to be trading up to a 9900 around the middle of december.

I haven't done much texting or im'ing on my LG VX4500, but I know I will be doing much more IM'ing on the 9900.

As I understand it, verizon charges for IM messages as if they were text messages.

I've heard that verizon text plans aren't as reasonable as other carriers but that there are some text plans that are good but aren't advertised as much as the in-plans.

I forget where I read that, so I've lost that information, so I figured I would ask current 9800/9900 users that IM alot, what is a good plan for IM'ing?

Verizon Rebates ...

best rebate processing I've ever seen and I've filed a lot over the years. I pre-filed the rebate online the first of this month and mailed the upc and form a few days later -- already in the system as received, validated and the check on its way! You DON'T get any better than that. Thanks Verizon. No wonder Verizon is number 1 in everything. 🙂

Noticing alot of Sprint Trolls on here lately

trying to slip in how sprints phones rock and they have web access on posts that have nothing to do with sprint or web access.

must have alot of time to burn in their empty stores as they wait for potential customers to come in and add to their awesome net adds.

Cingular's 39.99 plan

Doesn't include night and weekends anymore? What?!?! Wow. Good thing they allow you to send a pic through bluetooth since you don't have free night and weekend minutes to send them...

Can transfer Pics through 9900 Bluetooth!

Am I the only one who didn't know this? This is awesome. Now I won't have to keep emailing them to my gmail account 24/7.

Sweet.

themes on chocolate

got my chocolate yesterday and absolutely loving it.

don't understand why people complain about the touch pad. if people can't figure out how to adjust the sensitivity maybe they should just get rid of the phone.

anyways, i just want to know if there are possibilities of getting more themes on the phone?

thank you!

9900 Accessories ??

I already know I'm getting this phone later this week......, but I was looking at some unboxing photos for this phone and didn't notice a belt clip or anything. I always thought it was kinda nice of VZW put include the little belt clips in with the phones. Did I miss something here or am I going to have to buy a clip for this phone?? 😕

Annoying VW voicemail auto message

Does anyone know if it's possible to totally ERASE the automatic voicemail lady that comes on after your personal greeting and tells you "if you'd like to leave a call back number, press 5" ??? I HATE THIS AUTOMATIC VOICE LADY!!! I've complained to VW and they say they get a lot of complaints from ppl like me who just want this auto response erradicated.

I just want to leave a greeting with my voice, nothing else!

Combined vibe & ring setting?

I'm about to hit my New Every 2 and looking to upgrade. I currently have a Motorola v265, and while I'm looking at the v325, I was told by the VZW in-store folks that the phone does not have a combined "vibe & ring" ringer setting where the phone will vibrate a few times and then audibly ring.

It's kind of important for me, since I'm frequently in settings where I can feel the phone but can't hear it and vice versa, where I can hear the phone but can't feel it or have taken it out of my pocket. Does anyone know if it's true that the v325 doesn't have that setting?

Also, the CSR told me she didn't think ANY Verizon phones did that anymore -- is it true that VZW has killed the "vibe & ring" ringer option across its entire line?
