Its finally (pretty much) dead

my Audiovox 8910 which has been working kinda well for about a year and a half has now almost died. For the past few days every 30 minutes or so the phone turns off by itself. Also the speaker has stopped functioning. When you push a button or try to make a call it makes a weird vibrating sound so i have to use a headset to talk on the phone now.

i dont care what nobody says...

the krzr could be da bomb. well the krzr is da bomb. but those peeps at vzw like to take the krzr and turn it into a punk ass phone with delayed screens. yeah delayed screens. that is verizon's fault not motorola. cuz i was checkin me out a krzr from sprint and its fast as hell wit the moto software. try it for yo selfs. motos aint made for vzw UI. thats why delayed. samsung and lg are fine wit the vzw UI but moto and nokia should go to there original UIs cuz moto and nokia have best reception and with their UI they will also have best performance...peace

Bluetooth File transfer

I have a LG CU500, and my son and daughter both have the same model. I've been able to link up and exchange passcodes, and they all 'see' each other.

What I want to do is transfer files (MP3's and ringtones) from one phone to another. Is this possible via Bluetooth?

The LG manual and the menus are not helpful, but there must be a way to do this.

AppZone: Apple's iPhone Spoken Quickly?

General News
Written by Christopher Price
Monday, 04 December 2006
PCS Intel has avoided the constant iPhone rumor mill (which has been running strong since about when PCS Intel was started... three years ago). However, new documents have leaked out, and confirmation from industry sources appears concerted on the same information.

Verizon's latest projected launch estimate has set for launch on Janurary 30 a product called "AppZone". It is odd and rare for a product to appear within 60 days before shipping with nothing known about it. AppZone, when spoken slowly, does resemble "Apple's Phone". This is also in-line with Digg founder Kevin Rose's statements earlier this week, indicating that iPhone will be available on all carr...

Mobile ESPN

Looks like Mobile ESPN has decided to go with Verizon ..

http://mobile.espn.go.com/ »

I can't seem to get many details from either Verizon or Mobile ESPN. I have been a Mobile ESPN subscriber from the git go, and I have loved it!! 😁 I hope that you don't have to live in a VCast area to get all the ESPN content. Seems that this would cut out alot of people, including me. Anybody with anymore information about this, please inform me. Thanks for your time.

What Is The BEST Service?

My January 2007 issue of Consumer Reports arrived in this morning's mail. In it they published the results of their September 2006 online survey of 42,921 CR subscribers, reflecting those respondents' overall satisfaction with their cellular telephone service in twenty major metropolitan areas.

Very interesting reading.

Which of these two phones should I get?

It's LG8600 vs. SCH-A9300. Questions:

Which has the shortest button lag? I need fast button-display times. (I don't use any data functions and don't care about download speeds). Second question: Which has the better voice memo recording capability?

thanks

Consumer Reports Article

Best cell service
42,921 CR readers speak

Tired of dropped calls, “service not available” messages, busy signals, and kkkrrrrrcchhhhhh! static in your ear? Then listen up. Our exclusive survey can show you where to get significantly better cell service.

In our fifth annual survey of cell-phone users, Verizon came out at or near the top in the 20 metropolitan areas we surveyed, as it has in years past. But Alltel, a relatively small carrier that primarily serves the midsection of the country, is emerging as a formidable challenger. Another provider, T-Mobile, is also giving Verizon a run for its (and your) money. In other words, consumers now have more than one decent choice in many places, a positive sign in an industry whose noto...

Black Moto Q...

Is sprint the only carrier getting this phone, or is Verizon going to get it as well? ALso, does anybody know if they will be making any changes with the black version? Fixing any of the problems that plagued the first release? Any info, let me know. Thanks.

Samsung U740 info???

I decided to not get the 9900, the screens are just a little bit too small for a guy who recently had cornea transplant surgery 😎 Anyways, I wanted to know if anyone had any info on the release date for the new Samsung with the dual flip, the U740. It is supposed to be released this Monday, but who knows for sure. Thanks for your help!

Anyway tried listening to satilite radio on their non-pda phone?

With Sirius radio you can log on to their website and listen to their service online. Has anyone tried using their Verizon cell phone and mobile web 2.0 to access Sirius? I don't want to pay $5 a month to see if it works. It would be awesome if it does.

You know what would a kind of cool idea...

I think it would be a cool idea to add a BT messsaging system that you can use to chat with your friends in situations where you cannot talk. And you can have multiple connections, or connect to a port, and everyone connect to that BT device and chat with their phone. It would be great for lectures, or when you want to say stuff that you don't want others to hear...and before you bash it, think about how you already use IM and forums when you can just talk on the phone, like what all a cell phone is suppose to be in the first place.
