3 Year Contracts

What ever happened to Verizon's idea for 3 year contracts? Did any of the test markets where this program was tested show signs of potential or positive feedback? Just wondering, thanks.

Verizon version of the Blackberry Pearl...

Anybody know if verizon might eventually get the pearl? It seems like a great phone and I think it would be a great seller on verizon.

Sprint Opens SERO Plans to Everyone
Sprint
Written by Christopher Price
Tuesday, 12 December 2006
Sprint's SERO plans are special referral-offers meant to be given to Sprint employees only. These plans are offered to customers who are "friends and family" of Sprint employees. SERO stands for the Sprint Employee Referral Offer. The base SERO plan is a $30/month plan offering 500 Fair & Flexible minutes with unlimited data.

However, Sprint has leaked out through unofficial channels a new manner to sign up for SERO, opening up access to the general public. Users who visit the SERO site and enter the employee email address [email protected] email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to vi...

Date leakage

My Moto Q leaks. I do not have a data plan with my Moto Q, but that does not matter, since Verizon charges for data anyway. Evidently, there is no way to keep the Q from connecting and sending data. There is a constant data leak. At the current rate, it looks like I could end up paying about $7 - $10 dollars per month for a feature that I do not use. According to the Verizon tech on the phone, this is the cost of owning a PDA phone. However, the salesman never told me that I would have to pay any data fees. I would like to have data or course, but it's too expensive for just a toy. I love the rest of the phone's features, especially that I can listen to mp3 podcasts using the mono bluetooth headset. Using the Chocolate, one has to have a ste...

Email From CR - Great Idea

Dear XXXXX,

Does your cell phone take pictures, play music, and download market reports from the Internet - yet, you can't get it to complete a phone call?

And then, you can't get out of the plan because they lock you in with high early-termination fees - $150 to $200.

Join our "Hear Us Now!" campaign. Tell the cell phone industry to end the "gotchas" and improve the quality of your phone service.

Companies use high termination fees to keep you from taking your business elsewhere because many services will regularly drop your calls, no matter what their ads say. And you can expect to pay up to 30 percent more than the advertised price.

Consumer Reports this month provides some good tips for finding a better phone and a bette...

Wombough SHUT UP AND GO BACK TO SPRINTS FORM>

Wombough,
We all understand that you prefer Sprint over Verizon. That is just fine. I honestly prefer Verizon Wireless over cingular, but that is my opnion. You may or may not be right on the "Sprint has a bigger footprint that verizon wireless thing". Sprint roams just as much as verizon wireless does if not more, but there is one big difference between them. Sprint has a roaming policy and Verizon Wireless does not. We may indeed roam more like you said.................but we do not have to worry about getting cancelled three months down the road for excessive roaming. So, as long as we(people with verizon wireless) have service or are roaming and are able to make calls I dont think anyone really gives a ****.

Thank Y...

Finally! Competition...

Good god we finally see Sprint rolling out Rev A. Now, if we can get them to post up some 1+ mil adds this quarter perhaps the aircard pricing will go down to 49.99 or something. Please please please do some decent numbers Sprint so we can make some price plan changes, lol.

My mom has the cingular D807 and I was wondering if anybody on here knows if the charging ports are the same style as the samsung phones on the verizon network? She wanted a few accessories that I think I could get from vzn at a cheaper price cause I could use my 25% discount. If anybodys knows, let me know, thanks!

Does Bluetooth override the phone?

Just got a Motorola v325i about 2 weeks ago -- there have been several times when my phone has rang and, when I've picked it up using the actual handset and not the Bluetooth headset, I've been unable to hear the person on the other end.

This is my first Bluetooth-enabled phone, so I'm a little unfamiliar with the technology. If the Bluetooth headset is on and detected, does it automatically override the phone and you *have* to use it, or is there a problem with my specific handset?

businesses not using verizon????

just a thought here. i read in a lot of different posts here and there that businesses dont choose vzw due to price. recently in that huge i mean super huge thread (3 threads) about the whole price thing. please stay dead by the way. thats not the first i heard that though i have seen it many times before. the thing is.... does anybody post what companies and government agencies use? to be honest i see more business and government accounts with vzw. more than i could even think of. of all the ones i have seen who is left? i am speaking government wise there. so i dont get where people get their information? just making it up or what?
