Footprint

As I said I don't promote sprint or verizon. I think its about choice. However I am tired of lies. Just in a post today were I stated sprint has more of a national footprint then verizon. And someone said no way in hell. Here is a list of states verizon is almsot non existant, AL, MS, Ak, MO, WI, NM, NE,KS, OK,TX. I count 10 states there. Check it out for yourself before you start pulling crap out of you know were. Verizon can not be beat in there native areas. And they are expanding rapidly, and I am not comparing whos network is better. Sprint in all those states I listed go from border to border.

Cellular reliability and pricing

I've posted several threads regarding cellular pricing, particularly, Verizon's pricing plans and how I feel they haven't kept up with the times. Anyway, I received several responses, mostly negative and disagreeing. One subject in particular that was raised is cellular reliability in general. It is my position that cellular service in general is unreliable and one company bragging that they are "more" reliable than the next is pretty much meaningless.

Pagers are the gold standard in wireless reliability. One person responding to this statement said comparing pagers to cell phones is like comparing apples to oranges. This doesn't surprise me, though. Most people who don't want to admit you made a good point in a comparison simply use this...

My "favorite" responses

As most of you well know by now, I've posted several opinions in this forum and the feedback to them has been tremendous. In fairness to others whose posts are getting ignored due to the high volume of interest (mostly negative) to my posts, this will be my final post on anything for a while.

The responses I've received on my posts have been nothing short of tremendous. So, I'm closing with a few more interesting ones and my take on them.

#1. No one cares about my opinion. What gets me about this statement was I received this reply along with about seven others saying about the same thing. I may not inspire a lot of people to subscribe to my points of view, I certainly can't complain that no one cares what I think. All of my threads ha...

Verizon Coverage Locator???

Have you visited T-Mobile's coverage locator page? I'm addicted to it! Gives you spot-on coverage! When is Verizon going to do this??? I mean, Verizon's coverage is superior, but it's a fun, useful tool. Anyone have any idea when or if it's coming? Thanks!

copying MP3 to SCH-A930 w/o WMP 10

Is there a way to copy MP3 files to my SamSung SCH-A930 phone without Windows Media Player 10 and play it?

I have a memory card reader/writer so I figured I could just copy MP3 files directly to the microSD memory card then pop it into the phone, but my phone doesn't see the MP3 files and I can't play any of it. Manual says I have to use WMP 10 and use the synchronize feature to transfer the music... Is that the only way? I am using Windows 2000 and it only support upto WMP 9 so I don't have access to WMP 10.

If copying the MP3 files to a directory should work, what directory name should MP3 files go into? I tried "MY MUSIC", "MY SOUND". I copied some of the MIDI files to one of the directories and the phone knows about the MIDI fi...

Verizon Coverage and Amp'd Coverage

If you work in a location that sells both, please stop telling customer that they have the same coverage. They DO NOT! Amp'd uses the all digital coverage. Customers think they are getting the full Americas Choice coverage when in reality they are only getting the InPulse coverage. There is a HUGE difference.

Voice Clarity Improvement???

As most of us know approx. 90% of carriers' revenue is from voice. Because of family plans, competition etc, carriers have been looking at ways to generate more revenue - enter data. BUT does anyone really know when voice clarity will improve? I've read articles in Wireless Week and some of the other wireless news sources and it's in the works, but curious to know if anyone knows about upgraded voice clarity. Since voice is the main revenue driver it would seem prudent for the carriers to provide outstanding voice calls (better than landline). Thanks!

Call me a pessimist, ITS JUST THE WAY IT IS!

If you come into my store, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES COME IN AND JUST TRY TO HAND ME YOUR PHONE!

You are going to stand there and look stupid with your hand reached out, and we're going to have a slight awkward moment. BECAUSE I AM NOT GOING TO TOUCH IT!

I am sorry if you think its rude, I just don't want to touch your phone, call me a germophobe, who cares? Constantly people come in with their phone in their hands frustrated handing it to me. Usually with one of these asinine statements:

"Its broke"
"You take a look at it."
"You figure whats wrong with it"
"This God *&^% thing won't turn on"
"I don't know whats wrong with it"

Which is fine, but say hello first, don't storm in like you own the place b/c you have a proble...

Verizon leadership Change...

Denny Strigl is moving to COO and president at verizon communications. Lowell McAdam is moving up to CEO of Verizon wireless. Everyone below Lowell moved up it seems.

This means I'm one step closer to being CEO, sweet.

I'll fix that bluetooth OBEX thing for you guys when I get there. I got your backs!

Make a Plan

What if your carrier came to you and said that for the Holiday's you can make your own calling plan (within reason of course) and it will be reviewed then available for you to be on.

Would you do it and what would ur plan be?
