Verizon Push-to-Talk

I was just wondering if Verizon had any plans in the future of marketing their push-to-talk service any better. I know they have a few (very few at that) phones capable of the service, but are they going to make more phones with the service? I do a lot of business travel, and have both Verizon and Nextel. I have Nextel as my business phone mainly due to the push-to-talk capabilities. My wife and I use Verizon as personal phones. I like Verizon and would like to stay with them as a provider, but if the push-to-talk doesn't become available soon I might just go to Nextel exclusively. Any responses would be much appreciated. Thank you and have a great day.

Location "ON" affects battery life?

I just bought a new battery for my phone because the one that it came with (RAZR) would no longer hold a charge.
The tech at the store told me that If I was not using VZNavigator that I should turn location to 911 only because it would save battery life.
Anyone have an opinion?
I always thought I'd leave it on in the unlikely event I roll into a ditch off the interstate so they'd be able to locate me. 😲

Learn Verizon Math, It's wrong of course, but how they do it.

Verizon says: $.002 = $.00002

---------------------------------------------
After the call the following will make sense:
---------------------------------------------

He was quoted a price of .002 cents.

The actual price is .002 dollars.

The units are different. One dollar unit is equal to 100 cent units.

.002 cents * 35,893 = 0.71786 U.S. dollars

.002 dollars * 35,893 = 71.78600 U.S. dollars

See the difference the units of measure make?

Another way to see it, expressed solely in dollars is (note, .002 dollars is the actual price, however, .00002 dollars (aka .002 cents) is the price he was quoted and the price that was notated in his account several times) :

.002 U...

0.002 cents

I just to want present my 2 opinions about the subject matter above.

1. I believe with a good amount of certaintity that the customer knew full well what the charge was and took advantage of the situation. How can u believe the charge is 0.002 of a cent? That's a riduclous charge and just doesn't make sense.

2. Saying that EVERYBODY at Verizon Wireless is dumb is not right. All 50,000 + employees are dumb because of the mistake of a handful reps doesn't make sense. The only person I can think of who'd make such an absolute statement is Darth Vader and he's not even real.

Thanks for listening

☹️ has anyone had the problem of having their enV losing service or dropping calls!? I'm on my second enV in the past week! I'm sick fo verizon's customer service, and the problems with phones, and then having myself be blamed for the problems!

Goodbye To Freebies, Hello To Freedom

Interesting article from Businessweek Online:

But the era of the freebie phone may be coming to an end. In late November the U.S. copyright office ruled that it is not illegal for consumers to "unlock" cell phones they purchase from a particular carrier. The three-year exemption from potential wireless industry lawsuits strengthens the hand of Nokia and other manufacturers, which have begun quietly opening flagship stores in New York, Chicago, and elsewhere to sell phones like Davis' N70. Such moves risk alienating the wireless outfits, but cell-phone makers see the market shifting. Fewer than 5% of the 163 million handsets sold in the U.S. this year were unlocked versions. But analysts believe that could jump sharply in 2007

I just wanted to say Happy Holidays to everyone. Lately its seems like there has been a lot of bickering and arguing in this forum, but hey, lets try finish up the year on a positive note.

Its been a great year for Verizon and 07 should be a lot of fun with some great new technologies coming out.

Hope everyone has a great xmas and new year. Enjoy the Holiday weekend!

KRZR CHARGING PROBLEM?

When I charge my KRZR it doesn't have a battery progress indicator to let me know how close the phone is to being charged and it never says "charge complete." Is this normal on all KRZR's? I am using the extended battery. Thanks!
