When I purchased the Motorola V710 it was specificaly because of it's advanced technology that enabled me to use for my business as well as some pleasure. After a month or so, I learned that Verizon purpously crippled several of the phones features for financial gains on Verizon's part. This makes me furious. Is it leagally fair? Is it not some sort of misrepresentation of the product?

i just lost my 8100 yesterday 😢 because it fell out of my pouch but then i know someone found it and took it because when i tried calling it it just went straight to my voicemail meaning someone had to have turned it off. is there a way anybody can trace it and get it back? any help would be welcomed. thanks in advance.

Store-- Will they waive activation? Can I haggle for a better deal?

Costco-similar, waives activation and say they throw in case, headset but looks like that's standard, only + I know so far is that I can get full credit for phone within 6 month if I need to return

i have the lg 8600 and can adjust the pic on the front of the phone. Friend has a razr. I cant find where he can do the same. Not possible on the razr?

I cant believe how I was treated with T-mo yesterday. They now have the worst cust service reps and Mgrs of all wireless providers. I received my bill last month and had a massive overage charge for my one line of almost 300.00 dollars, this was my fault not T-Mo's, I paid the bill and called T-mo and increased my plan to 5000 Min from 2500. This month I received my bill and had another massive overage charge this time my bill was 500.00, I called T-mo thinking this was there mistake and they would take care of the overage, NO THEY PRETTY MUCH CALLED ME A LIAR, they claimed to have no record of my calling last month and changing my plan and therefore they could do nothing for me!! The Wall Street Journal reported that private equity firms might be looking to buy the wireless operator

Alltel Corp. (AT) shares rose on Dec. 29 after an article suggested that private equity firms might be circling the wireless operator as a potential takeover target.

"Wall Street is buzzing about a possible deal and private-equity shops are already exploring the idea," the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

It seems that all of the loan calculators that I run across require Java. Of course when I try to run them on my E815 they will not run. Does anyone know where I can find one of the calculators (even an online site would be great) that doesn't require Java. Any thanks is appreciated.

What Verizon people think of the advertising that they are going to put in their web?

So I need some opinions, I currently have a Sprint Samsung A920 which is identical to your Samsung 950. I liked that phone, I fear the Verizon UI and would prefer something with customizable UI, expandable memory is a must. I want the phone to have the most pack for the punch for a Verizon Wireless employee plan. Also if you could answer, if a Verizon Corporate employee were to sign up for there employee plan what price would they pay for the phone.

My first choices would be Treo 700p and the Samsung A990

I have been a Verizon customer for about 10 years, and I think I've finally had it. I recall having the LG-TM510 for a number of years and it turned out to be a real POS. By the end of it's life the phone stopped ringing, would randomly reboot, etc.

So, along came the V710 the holy grail of phones, it was supposed to be everything to everyone. So what does verizon do, disable the Bluetooth features and lose a class action suit by it's pissed off customers. Then they say, hey this phone is amazing it has a transflash card, so what does verizon do, make the Tranflash card incompatible with the SD Card, so you can't transfer pictures or music without paying for thier crappy service.

Has anyone else experienced declining VZW network coverage lately? I live in NYC - VZW's home - and the network coverage has been awful lately!!
I had 4-5 dropped calls in the past week and it's becoming unbearable. I called the CSR and she said that I hadn't likely 'updated' my phone lately to improve roaming capabilities - sure, always blame the victim first!

So after 'reprogramming' the phone by dialing *228, I've still had several dropped calls.
It's one thing to suffer with lousy (circa 2001) handsets, but if VZW can't maintain its "top quality" network, then it's time to switch.

Has Cingular's network improved??

Any news on this phone??
I remember reading something about it a while ago.

While Pantech handsets are usually relegated to the low-end level here in the States, they DO make very high quality high end phones and this is/was supposed to be one of them.

Looks like it has an extendable antennae like the E815 from Motorola and it runs Windows Mobile 5.0 and not the Verizon UI.

Anyone have any news on it?? Or is it a dead fish already??

I've been trying to get through to customer service to resolve yet another billing issue. I keep getting a message that they are closed for a meeting. Another great example of sub-par VZW customer service.

I've got the Verizon Krzr, and have had it for a few days now. I also debated much between the two phones (krzr v. vx8600) as the features are so similar... as far as one could tell from messing with the store models. I chose the Krzr because it is a beautiful phone and the form factor is nice (no too long when open, has good weight, feels robust) the screens are slightly smaller, but I didn't feel that to be a problem.
Initial reaction, nice phone, easy to use. Can set each of the four directionals to your preference, unlike the razr. Sound quality was prett...
