Now I work for Cingular as a independent rep and enjoy reading how other reps feel about new company policies and phones and so forth. Yet everytime I visit these forums I always see someone doing the usually Cingular Sucks or Verizon Is Terrible or TMobile is Crap posts and I really wonder is this my service is better than ur service really worth the time it consumes. I know there are a few customers who check out these forums before going into a store because they think its honest, fair comments but its really not. This loyalty to a carrier bs is getting old because no one is really loyal when they always check if another carrier has a better deal for them.

I haven't seen any threads of comments about this here yet, but there were several stories in various newspapers including the WSJ about VZ offering much better deals to their customers starting in the fall of this year. For one thing, they are going to start pro-rating their early cancellation fee, something that has been much complained about here in the past. Better deals for 1 year contracts as well. If you are off contract or near so, it might be worth waiting to re-new. The new deals will only apply to contracts entered into after the new deals come out. They will not be retroactive to current contracts.

Does anybody know how to transfer ring tones with out using the PC media kit. Is it possible to transfer ring tones using UME 24.

Hey just a quick question. I currently have the text plan for 250 texts a month. I wanted to change it to $10 for unlimited in text/pics deal. I've already gone over my 250 texts and its only like 2 weeks into my billing month. If i sign up for the unlimited plan, will I not have to pay of the what ive gone over so far for this month?

Somehow my indicator was turned off that tells me when a voicemail was left. I dialed my voicemail and spent time in general options, as well as other places. There is no option to turn voicemail day/date indicator on or off.. How do I fix this?

Ok, sorry to post this, but is there any way I can get a new every 2 one month early. I really need to upgrade to a Smartphone (thinking Q) before I go on a trip in a couple weeks for work. Only problem is that my new every 2 is only available starting Aug 21st. I know the Q is 199 with data plan and that it is not with ne2. But on-line they still want me to pay full retail.

Any help would be appreciated.

Anyone know of a way to disable the buttons on the front (just under the Verizon banner) of the VX8300? Seems like I am bumping them all day long and the beeping through my BT headset gets annoying.

Is there any possible way to keep the keyguard from automatically locking the exterior keypad, having the press ok everytime you even check the time is annoying! I've tried to go through the settings and I can't find a way to stop that, any takes?

Hi !!! If I could get alittle advice from the "ringtone specialists" here please.
Using a jukebox program that I have on my Dell laptop, I copied 30 seconds of a song from one of my CD's to use as a ringtone for my 8300. I have a question: in what format must I make the copy in order for it to sound good on my phone ? MP3, WAV, mp3PRO or WMA ?? I'm sure this matters .....Thanks in advance for the advise !!! Chris

My third customer of the week that is asking for their "free yearly battery". The local Radio Shack tells them, "We don't handle Verizon anymore so we don't order batteries for the phones anymore." Then the customer expects VERIZON WIRELESS to give them the battery! LOL

hey, i know there are many rumors listed below about a few new phones for verizon. but does anyone have any ideas about when some of these phones might come out or if they are actually coming out?
im specifically interested in the samsung a990 and a915 and the lg chocolate but other new phone info would be nice too

I have a question about a recently purchased phone. I purchased a new v3m for like $127 with tax, when I received it, I started thinking maybe I should just keep my v3c instead since its so similar...

but rather than sending it back, I noticed these phones brand new on ebay are selling for $250-300....so i figured why the hell shouldnt I do that instead of returning it for $127, right?

is there anything wrong with that? If I sell this brand new phone to someone else they can just call and have the ESN from the phone hooked up and they are good to go, right?

Is the 15 day exchange program valid if you purchase a phone from an online indirect seller (Wirefly, for example)? If so, can the phone only be exchanged through that seller, or can it be done at any store?
