New Phones?

Does anyone know if Verizon will be releasing some new phones anytime in the next couple of months? If so, any idea on what brands? I'd really like to get a new phone, but I'm really not interested in any of the current models.

Ebay Phones and Contract

Could a VZW rep answer this question. I am still in the middle of a two year contract, and I am considering purchasing a new phone on ebay. When I activate this phone does that require that I enter into a new contract with extended time? Thank you.

SLVR to VZW?

I read somewhere that the SLVR is coming to VZW. I was just wondering if this was true or not. I don't think I want it but with the possible price (or what I've heard) of the a990 I am looking for other alternatives to upgrade too. Thanks. 🙂

Warranty Question for VZW Reps

I went in to my local VZW store today to ask for a warranty replacement on an 8100 I have. I called first to ask the tech if they had any 8100 replacement phones in stock. He knows who I am, so told me over the phone to make sure the bad phone was active on my line before I brought it in. I activated it online, then went to the store. He informed me that according to VZW's contracts, the warranty on a phone is valid only so long as it is active on the line on which it was originally activated. He took care of me anyway, but said normally they were not supposed to honor the warranty on a phone which had been taken out of service. I found this interesting, and very strange. I was the original purchaser of the phone, and had simply activ...

Am I being unreasonable? Re: My overage phone bill.

Let me start off by saying I pay my bill in full on time every month. I never call and complain. I have the 900 minute plan and I use less than 300 minutes a month every month.

I received a bill yesterday for twice my normal bill with nearly 200 minutes in overages. I noticed a couple of extremely lengthy calls (over hour long each) that I do not remember being as lengthy as is stated on my bill. I called to ask them to credit the account (possibly the phone didn't disconnect when I wanted it to, call was lost and not actually lost? I have no idea.)

Anyway, the customer service rep told me she couldn't credit my account because I had no proof. Anyone have any advice on how this issue should be handled? I do not think I have been...

Is verizon going to improve service in....

Verizon bought out some of qwest's towers in the midwest a while back and have since started using those towers.

The area I am referring to is Fremont, Ne, Lincoln, Ne. We used to have great service in those areas when we were using Alltel, now, there is barely a signal, in Fremont on Hwy 30 on west end of town the signal is not usable, and the phones barely work all the way past West point as our phones are trying to hang onto the verizon network. You get on the east end of fremont, and the phones goto extended network and work great, and if we go 4 miles north of fremont on hwy 77, verizon service is bad again. The trick is to place the call before you leave the extended network and the phone will work great.

My question, is Veriz...

Dealing With The Wireless Industry. Pt. I

This is something new I wanted to start doing that will help me make more sense of this wireless industry. Feel free to give any "good, worthwhile" comments to this post.

Topic of today is the US and why it doesn't get the same great phones that get released in Europe.

I know this has been discussed several times (well mostly just argued) but it makes me 😕 wonder with all the freedoms and perks we Americans have in this country why cant we get some of these great phones without having to order from a third party dealer or from the internet.(Shout Out to Ebay 😉 ) It makes no sense that the World's Most Powerful Country is behind the times on one of the fastest growing consumer products that almost every one uses.

Please guy...

http://www.engadget.com/2006/06/21/sweet-shots-of-sa ... »

Take a look at the date on the external screen in blue & yellow in the second picture!

I guess we'll have to wait and see if the date shown has anything to do with the actual release date or not!

Anyone Order Online and Get Unacceptable Packaging ??

Been a lurker for a while, but just got the V3M, case, and car charger that I ordered online. Did anyone notice how poorly it was packed. I got the package and walking into the house I noticed it was all loose and moving around in the box. I opened it up and they had put ZERO packing material (no bubble wrap or foam peanuts) in the box. To me this seems slightly unacceptable to send an electronic device and accessories completely across the country in a loose box. I also noticed that the phone box was totally black and completely unsealed with all the contents just under the top piece where the new phone sits. There was no cellophane wrap or even a piece of tape. Aren't they supposed to be packaged neatly with those cardboard seperators. Is ...

VZW REPS!! what is your input on vx-9800?

Hi! well I would like to get some honest opinions about the LG VX-9800, I ask verizon reps due to the fact that they deal with both issues and returns on a daily basis, It would be greately appreciated if I could get some of your opinions.. Pros, cons... blah blah...
I am getting rid of my pink razor V3c, because I'm tired of the humming/high pitch sound mine does, they keep promissing an update but honestly the noise is so annoying that it hurts my ears! ☚ī¸ I got it replaced for a refurbished one even when I have been reporting this problem since within my 14 days. I am seriously looking into paying the difference and getting the LG 9800 since I do a lot of texting, ONE think I'm concerned about and I would also like opinions on is the...

Phone Suggestions?

I have had very bad luck with phones since switching to Verizon several years ago. I am considering the two year upgrade now that I'm on my 6th Moto v265.

I am looking for a small phone, with really great reception and call quality, speaker phone, and speaker-independent voice commands. I figure if I'm going to upgrade I may as well get a phone with the new VZ Navigator. That leaves me with the Moto Razr, the LG vx 8300, and the Samsung SCH-a930.

I don't like LG, though I know most people do. The Razr seems a bit flimsy and difficult to use because of its thinness. I've been told Samsung has much better battery life and is higher quality than the other two manufacturers.

Feedback, please? If I'm going to sign my life over for...

VZW reps need input here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"I know what you're thinking: 'Did he fire six shots or only five?' Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, I've kinda lost track myself. But being this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well, do ya, punk?" đŸ¤Ŗ

new slider?

I heard a rumor that there's a new slider coming out for Verizon. Anyone with info and the what, when, and how much would be great.

The rumor said it was a version of the chocolate phone, but I didn't think they were doing a CDMA version. Thanks.

Memory Card Question

This is not a specific Verizon question but i figured you guys here would know. I just bought a 512 MB microSD card from Amazong (for an amazing $17.99). My question however is will a regular SD card reader work w/ the microSD becuase i'd rather not dish out another $25 just for the ripoff USB cable i'd need to hook my 8300 up to my computer.
