Verizon Direct Reps

I am a Sprint Direct rep and i've been there for about about a year. The commision structure here is not so great. I have a couple of friends that have friends that work at Verizon, as direct reps. They tell me that they make phenominal amounts of cash. Here in Oregon where cost of living is not high at all, reps are getting paid 13.00 an hour plus commision. Basically would it be a good move to Verizon and how much is commision per month, lets say just hitting all your goals at 100%. Your feedback would be greatly appriciated, thanks.

Verizon voicemail access password error message

This month I had a message on my Verizon phone that says someone had tried attempts to access my voicemail password. I have already contacted the customer service center and all is fine with my account. The strange thing is I've heard this same thing from other people. Maybe Verizon should send a text message to all customers stating there was a voicemail glitch or update with voicemail and some may have received an "access password error message", so people know to disregard it. Instead of having everyone calling in.... 😳

Best text messaging device with Verizon Network

Hello All,

I need some advice on finding the right device for text messaging use and can use to check my email and surf the web.

Well I am on a family share plan with dear mother.
I own a Motorola E815. It is annoying to use for texting or browsing the web for ANYTHING. Always get an error message about insuffient memory and blah!!

So I called Verizon and they told me I can add up to 5 lines. I was thinking of just adding one for now for a data plan for one of the devices below:

Blackberry 7250
Blackberry 7130e
Treo 700p

I don't want to add voice on it since I already have a voice plan set.
Which of these 3 devices are good for what I need it for? I can't use any discount for my current line because I just upgraded last Oc...

Your take on the Nokia 6236i

Im just out looking for nice slim phones (ie the slvr). Anyone have alot of experience with this one?

The only thing I dont like is the keypad. Seems flimsy and cheap. Eh, Nokia.

Doesnt seem like VZW will have any other slim phones in the near future... ☹️

Question for the techies

We had our network go down here yesterday for about 6 hours (yea it sucked being an agent).

I got a call from a rep after they got it back on and he said that it had to do with the local LANDLINE service here having an issue that caused our cell towers to go down.

They called it a transport outage.

Can anyone tell me why?

Switch ESN between V3c and Smartphone on same plan?

I presently have Vcast and BroadBand Access on my V3c and would like to buy a Smartphone like the Q, or a PDA.

My question is how can I buy a Q at retail price and still have the ability to turn the RAZR back on when all I want to carry is a small phone.

CS gives various answers, ranging from "You need to have a whole new plan for each phone" to "Just do the ESN switch online and don't forget to activate/ deactivate the extra services".

What is the correct answer?

help with decision on getting a blackberry

Ok guys here is the situation i have a razr through vzw i used for my phone, but i also use a sidekick II for email and especially AIM. i know there are alot of third party apps for AIM on the blackberry but are they as smooth running as AIM is for the sidekick? I would love to dump the sidekick for a blackberry on VZW dont get me wrong Tmobile has a great price plan but the coverage stinks compared to VZW in ths DC area.but I use AIM alot and dont want to give up that feature. so should I get a blackberry from VZW or get the new Sidekick III when it comes out? thanks in advance for your help.

Verizon Gains Top Kudos Once Again!!!!

KYW3 news just did a cell phone company review for the Philadelphia area. Findings were summed up as follows:
Verizon: Overall rated at 97%

Cingular:Overall rated at 94%

Sprint: Overall Rated at 93%

Tmobile: Overall rated at 89%

Basically they stated as shown above, that Verizon was heads above the other two major carriers in dropped calls.
The findings were done by having a car drive as many local roads in the Philly market as possible and calls were made by passengers, each using a different Cell service. All made the same amount of calls. They then simply recorded how many calls dropped , comparing each in the same coverage area(Philly Market).

LG phone...Carkit mode?

My boyfriend dropped his phone, and by some act of God, it bounced and landed in a dog water dish. The phone turns on fine and looks to be okay, but is stuck in car kit mode. Sometimes if we throw it around a bit, it will get off for a few moments. He does have insurance, but he's trying to avoid paying the 50, so he's hoping to fix it himself. Any suggestions?

E911 Question

My Toshiba-built Audiovox CDM-9900 is the best phone that I've owned. It does everything well. That is, until yesterday. My screen became damaged and is unusable. I can still receive calls and make them using one-button and voice dialing but cannot see anything on-screen.

I went to my local Verizon corporate store with my last phone, a four year old Motorola v60i, to reactivate it and use it until my New Every Two comes due in August (22 months). No, it's not worth paying $54 for a refurbished CDM-9900 at this time.

I was told that they wouldn't be able to do the v60i reactivation because Verizon's system will no longer accept pre-E911 phones due to user safety concerns.

Is this accurate? Or will another Verizon location be ab...

?? about the unlimted data plan

I vaguely remember reading material that said that TXT and PIX are included when you subscribe to an unlimited data plan. Can anyone confirm if this is true?? I've been looking through info manager and the vzw website looking for an answer and I'm unable to come up with one. Any assistance would be appreciated

Difference b/w unlimited Blackberry & txt msg?

Last month I bought a new Blackberry 7130e with VZW's unlimited data package for $45/mo. Just received my 1st bill and saw how I was charged for txt msgs as well as the 'unlimited data' plan.

How do I minimize txt msgs and shift messaging to the 'unlimited data' portion of my plan? Thanks
