verizon 6700 vs treo 700

Is their an incentive to Verizon dealers to push the 6700 over the Treo 700? I have been in 4 different Verizon stores and in each the salesman was pushing the Verizon 6700 over the Treo 700. i don't just mean pointing out the differences they were pushing hard for people not to take the 700 but to switch to the 700. has anyone else run across this?

Motorola RAZR V3C or Lg VX-8100 compatible (Bluetooth) with a iMac

I currently have Verizonwireless. I'm looking to upgrade my phone (New every two). I also have the new Intel iMac with built-in Bluetooth. Does anyone know if either the Motorola RAZR V3C or LG VX-8100 will sync (using Bluetooth) with the built-in address book on the iMac using iSync. Thanks in-advance! j_skronek

Fax over Bluetooth Dialup Networking

Open Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel. Click Add/Remove Windows Components. In the Windows Components Wizard, select the Fax Services check box, and then follow the instructions on your screen.

Pick the Bluetooth Modem Dialup connection as the Fax device when the Fax Setup Wizard opens (one time setup).

Set Bluetooth Modem, Properties, Advanced, Extra Initialization Commands = AT$QCMDR=3

To open Fax after console installation, click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to Communications, and then click Fax Console.

To fax, open document to fax, File, Print, answer questions in Fax Wizard. Phone will connect and say "Fax 14.4K: (Fax Phone Number)" Fax Monitor shows progress of fax on computer.

yawn

This forum has been a big bore the last week. WTF? Where have all the douchebags gone? Doesn't anyone want to argue about ETF's, crippled BT, or how they deserve a free upgrade because they lost their phone? Bah. ☹️

What to do with Bluetooth?

Hi.

I have the 6256i, and I paired it through Bluetooth with a Cingular BlackBerry. Both have full Bluetooth, but I have no idea what to do with it now! Generally, when pairing a Bluetooth phone with a Bluetooth non-computer device, how do I transfer pictures, ringtones, etc?

Thanks,

NEW PHONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any new vcast phones coming out, what about this new lg 8400/9000 or whatever it is called. I also heard samsung has something like a 5 megapixel phone on the way. I am sick of my moto 815, 8100, and the razor. Anyone know of anything coming out in soon or next quarter, the only thing i have seen is the Q and I am not really into the whole pda thing.

UMA cell/wifi phones

there is a thread in the tmobile section about UMA phones comming soon to tmobile. what i'm interested in is a phone that can allow a conversation to work over a cell tower and if needed, over wifi, assuming the wifi signal is stronger than the cell tower. i have no interest in a phone that uses wifi for web access.

1) is the signal transfer tech comming soon? tmobile or any provider would have a HUGE addition of clients if their phones used wifi along with cell towers for voice since wifi hotspots are usualy available in private homes where cell signals are weak.

2) will verizon provide such service?

swapping phones / esn change

Anyone else think it is a pain in the a$$ to switch from one phone to another?

The esn change in "my account" has never worked once for me. Every single time i want to swap phones, which i think i do at least twice a month, I have to call 611 and find someone that will let waive the $20 dollar crazy fee, and that could take up to 3 different tries bc most of them would rather die then allow an esn change with no fee. Supposovly if the phone you are trying to go to has vcast and your old phone doesnt.. thats why it wont work...but it doesnt work anyway for me if the phone im going to does not have vcast.

the funny thing is.. the csr will explain that the fee is in place bc it can be done online and whatever and there are too many peopl...

No commitment Razr?

Currently I'm in a service agreement with Verizon (almost a year in) with a V710. I'm in love with the razr and want to get one. I work for cingular so I'm full aware of contract terms and such so does anyone know the no commitment price for both razrs and does anyone have any advice? I looked on e-bay and I think that might be my best bet...any imput would be great.

Upgrading 100% of network to EV-DO?

Will Verizon ever be able to upgrade it's entire own network to EV-DO? There was rumor before that they wouldn't be able to due to technology differences in certain areas in which they have towers.

If so, will this affect how Verizon competes in the future, if they can or cannot upgrade their entire network past 1XRTT data?

PDA's/Smartphones

When you click on phones under the "personal" tab of the updated website, none of the PDA's are shown.

Are people with a non-business account still eligible to purchase the PDA's and other higher end phones?

LG VX-9800 (The V)

I played with my friends V today and I really like it alot. But I have the Razr and cant get a phone for a while ☹️ But I was just wondering, I wouldn't really use (Sometimes I would) the full QWERTY keyboard. Is it worth getting? How would I get a new phone could I fake having a problem and getting a new phone instead? Thanks
