It will be out November 13th/14th for sure. I went to a wireless training thing with my job and it was official and I guy I went with actually won one and it is very nice.

Do you guys have sales quotas that you have to hit each month? Like X number of new accitvations, and X number of contract renewals? In addition to you guys track metrics? Like X% of your plans need to be $59+ or X% of data adds? Or how about accessory ratio? Like 2.95 per phone or something like that? Just wondering. Do people get in trouble if they don't meet the goals?

I just bought a new Lexus is250 and I cannot get my treo 650 to work with it. I have an lg vx8100 and I have gotten that phone to work with the cars bluetooth. The treo 650 will read the cars serial number for the bluetooth, but the car won't read the treo. Does anyone have any suggestions or am I just out of luck or doing something wrong. Please help!

I had a couple of guys come in yesterday and one bought a LG 9800 outright and sold his v710 to his buddy. I needed to do an ESN change on each line. I got a hold of customer service somewhere on the eastern (I am in Wyoming) side and when we were processing the information he tells me that there is a $20 charge to change the ESN on their accounts. I let him talk to each customer and they agree to the charges and we go ahead. Just as we finish the second one, the cust care rep tells me that the charge is because there are so many people that swap phones that cust care is trying to make up some of the money that each call costs them.

I was just wondering if anybody has seen an increase of customer service renewing customers on 1 yr contracts over the phone and then sending them to a store location to get their newe2? My store is losing approximately 100 renewable sales a month due to this.

Also, if a customer service rep reads this, I'm assuming this is the direction you have been given by your supervisors but what is the reasoning that you've been given for doing this?

Just had an on-line chat with "James" at Verizon, a customer service guy. Apparently, the company is still playing dumb as to when the Nokia 6256i and the Moto Razr will be appearing. I also spoke to my friend, a manager of a Radio Shack outside of Washington, DC, who still has only the "dummy" for the Nokia, nothing on the Motorola, and no indication of when either phone is going to show up.

At this point, my attitude is, when it gets there, it'll be there. I have a bunch of friends who are very anxious for both of these handsets to make their appearance, particularly the Nokia. Verizon needs to re-train all their tech support people on the treo 650. i have called in at least 10 times in the past month (4 times this week!!) b/c the text messaging isn't working.. almost everytime after about two hours they file a trouble ticket! a few hours later the text is back working and no one knows why..This is very frustrating for me especially because even after all these calls they refuse to send me a new phone! WTF! I am calling again today is request to speak with the manager/supervisor and seeing if he's willing to help me, if not, bye bye verizon

That is the funniest thing i have ever read. I have to applaud Stanley Sigman (CEO of cingular) for being as open and honest as he was in the article.

Just a few things that Sigman says that Cingular (the so called #1 Provider) is behind verizon on:

1. "in metrics like customer service"
2. "Getting business simplified"
3. "Rate of Penetration"
4. "Churn
5. "Addition of Customers"
6. "Return on operations"

Any patches for interface between Motorola IHF1000 and Verizon TREO 650?

Incoming calls are oK, outgoing calls are dropped after about 3-5 seconds. Installation was verified 100% and other paired phones work great. The car kit wont allow you to dial out at all after the first dropped call and it goes directly into "set up mode" until you cylce the ignition or leave the car and return.

If you use the treo 650 pad and place an outgoing call directly, it also drops the call a few seconds after the BT (IHF1000) in car device picks it up on intercom.

Radio mute and all the features work great with three other phones tested
