I have had a Nokia 3589i for the past two years and have been supremely happy with this phone. I have had no other phone that has compared to this phone.

I am up for my new every two, and unfortunately, my little nokia is starting to wear out and get old. I'm not getting calls I should be, and sometimes my calls are starting to drop.

Anyway, I went into the store a few months back to get a new phone, and thought about getting one of the new motorolas, or something. When I asked the sales man how they stacked up against Nokias, he said that I would be very unhappy with anything BUT a nokia, not to waste my time.

When I went to another store and showed interest in a motorola there, they asked me if I would be using certain function...

i know this has been posted a million times and im sure someone will tell me to check back at past posts, but i was wondering if anyone had any updates on the release of the RAZR, last i read someone said the 21st or 28th... any more recent news on the release date??? thanks a lot!

I had just returned home to Florida from a long trip to Pennsylvania. While in PA, I upgraded my phone and plan at a local Verizon Wirless store. The sales agent seemed very honest and was super helpful. She set my expectations for my next bill to be as normal (39.99 + some text package + tax). I changed my plan to a new plan with more minutes for the same cost. When I opened my bill it was 217.41. I knew it had to be a mistake. First, I called my friend who works customer service for Verizon Wireless. Although she hates when I call to ask about my bill, she suggested I call because my bill may have been "pro rated" causing me to exceed my "partial amount of minutes". Knowing when I was at the store changing my plan this was never discussed ...

Ok, I came here to Phonescoop a couple of weeks ago to research carriers real thoroughly an' decide who ta go with. What I found:

T-Mobile: Great prices, cool phones, great customer service, but coverage not the best. An' not only that, their street-level maps show that even in areas where they got coverage, there's a lil' spottiness there. Still, they'd be my second choice. (an' they got Catherine Zeta-Jones! lol)

Sprint-Nextel: Very cool phones, an' Fair & Flexible is real good. But the merger ain't gonna help their coverage 'til they get the hybrid iDen-CDMA phones out (which'll be awhile), an' their customer service is 'parently pretty bad. Also heard that they used to dump you if more than half your minutes are roaming?!? Whack.

I have backed myself into a corner...I switched to Verizon from Cingular 20 days ago, my Cingular account is active until Saturday and my wife is still using Cingular. I have a V710 and my Onstar carphone active on the Verizon account and i need to add another line for my wife. The problem is i have decided that i want a Nokia 6256i and want to give my wife the V710 (we both need tri mode phones). Well the damn Nokia is currently only availabe to new customers so i cant get it as an extra line so i have to wait until its available to existing customers and i am now out of time. If i go and buy a phone at a Verizon store to use in the meantime than i will lose my credit with Verizon and will have to pay a ridiculous price for the Nokia w...

Ok, I've never had a call make me so angry as the one that I had as my last call on this lovely Friday afternoon. What a great way to start my weekend. A woman called claiming we do an immense amount of false advertising because we say Verizon to Verizon is free (assuming she was referring to IN calling). She didn't even have a wireless account with us in her name, and wanted me to rework 3 years worth of invoices as if she had the IN calling feature. She was on a Consumer Value Plan!! And of course, no matter how much I tried to explain, she didn't understand. She goes over her minutes almost every month, and she was out of contract!! She continued to argue with me, and when I finally told her that we were not getting anywhere, she wouldn't...

Is everyone loving the new verizon commercials as much as ME... I just love them all. They got a serious advertising campaign going on. I can't imagine how much they will advertise the RAZR. It feels so good inside to know that those network guys are following me around 🙂

hey, forum. i saw the nokia 2128i on verizon's website about a couple of weeks ago. but now, the phone is not available anymore online nor in the verizon stores. i heard the phone was recalled because the phone boxes read "get it now", but the phone is not a get it now phone. anyway, i was just wondering....does anybody know approximately when or if this phone will be available to purchase again? i called verizon and asked them...they said "it's coming soon" but they don't know when. i was just wondering if anybody here knows anything more specific. this phone is really cool. 😁

I'm in an Alltel market area, and it seems like Verizon has a much better selection of phones, so i'm thinking about going with them when i'm out of my current contract with another carrier.

The only problem, I would mainly be in "Extended Network" which I understand is still digital service, though it's provided by Alltel.

I realize I would have to get a long distance number and couldn't get a local number, but what features would work for me (caller ID, voicemail indicator, can you use all your minutes out of VZW's network)? I use mobile web with the carrier i'm with now, would that work also?

Any help would be appreciated.

I really do hope the Nokia 6256i comes in all silver like it shows on the RS website. It kills me that it's on the RS website and not in my hands...ok....I still dont feel better 😁

Ok, so my current phone is broken, and I called tech support, and was informed I can take it in and trade it in for a new phone.

The phone has about a 100 dollar value, but I am definately willing to throw some more money at it to get a better phone.

I LOVE TO E-MAIL/Text Message, but the only phone that I can find for Verizon that does that for me is the Motorola Q, all the others are to large/don't have the technology/assets that I want.

What are your thoughts on the Nokia 6255i/6256i and the HTC Apache/PPC-6700?

Any other suggestions? I don't need a camera, but it's not the end of the world if it has one, but I will never use it.
