XV6700 on Verizon???

Come on all you employees out there, I know you have some info for me. Anything has to be better than hearing, "Oh, I don't see anything for an Audiovox 6700 on my screen, but the Treo 650 is new, and it's available now!"

I know someone out there knows something. I just want to know when I can take a hammer to my piggy bank!

nokia 6256i I dont like it!!!

The phone is very box like, fits worse in the pocket then other larger verizon phones.

It has cheap feel to it, very plastic like more so then other phones.

Speaker phone sucks

The antenna doesn't lock when fully extended, it tries to lock about 2/3 way up 😕

The hinge is weak, it opens normal, but when closing its like a heavy door that slams shut

The phone does have OBEX, but once again verizon locked down this phone so tight, that obex is worthless.

The phone does sound great and the RF seemed very strong wherever I went, just to many cons for me.

What's the 800 number to VZW customer care?

It's for some people who are out of state and have verizon. We don't sell Verizon in my area.

6256i - going back

Well I've definitely confirmed the limit on the number of contacts - 500, no more. I synched with Outlook at it stopped at 500 - memory full. Too bad, I had hopes that this phone could be PDA-like. It goes back tomorrow. Good luck to all who keep it, let us know how it goes for you all.

RAZR may not hit by years end.

Friends at Moto tell me, it's possible that the phone may not come out by years end..

There is something going on with a Cingular exclusive that ends Dec 31st ??

I am not sure how true this is, but this is what I heard tonight.

Nokia BlueTooth earbud compared to Jabra and Motorola

http://www.nokiausa.com/phones/6256i/0,7747,acc:1|ac ... »

I tried the Nokia HDW-3 wireless earbud at the Nokia Learning Center; it was just fine. It seems to me that getting a Nokia earbud make sense with getting the Nokia phone, especially if both devices use the same charger. Has anyone compared this BlueTooth earbud to those below and if so, how do they compare?

Motorola HS-850
Jabra BLUETOOTH 250
Jabra BLUETOOTH 800?

Pantech 215

I got a email from our DM and there is a rebate on this Verizon phone. I, however, have not seen any info on this phone and was wondering if Phone Scoop has something or anybody with Verizon that would know.

Thanks!!

3 Reasons why not to get the CDMA RAZR

1. If Verizon is going to disable the BlueTooth (the OBEX profile) such that one cannot transfer files from phone to BlueTooth computer, I don't want the CDMA RAZR.

2. If the CDMA RAZR's display is going to be identical to the RAZR V3 Cingular's rather than to the so-called RAZR 2 with the far brighter display, that's another reason not to buy it.

3. It's costly. More than $500.

Yeeeeeeeeeeha! GOT the 6256i! But it was a Royal B****..

Ok, word on da street wuz dat the 6256 had FINALLY hit Best Buy on Sunday. So silly me, I go 6256-hunting at not 1, not 2, but 3 Best Buys. This is what happened:

Best Buy #1: Guy behind the counter looks at me like I'm prime loco an' says, "We don't carry ANY Nokias for Verizon. Maybe the 6015 I think, but no, not even that." I smile politely an' give him the SKU number (7302616), an' he looks it up in the database. His eyes go all wide an' he says "Ohhh-hhh, okay, yeah, those are 'in-transit'. We'll have 'em in a couple o' days. Call or check back Wednesday, they should be here."

But I'm like, nah, there's two other BBs pretty close by..

Best Buy #2: Go in. See the prettiest Verizon display I ever did see. All the latest phones, ...

6256i: Activation & Service

Hey Guys,

Here's the deal: I've had the same cellphone for 5 years, so I haven't had to deal with any of this and could use a little guidance...

I'm really interested in the 6256i, but am hearing that it may never be available from VZW's site or their stores, so I'm considering buying it elsewhere, but am wondering this:

a) Does anyone know whether VZW stores will still service the phone if I run into problems--even if I've bought it elsewhere?; and

b) Is it possible to buy it elsewhere, but not activate it until I get to a VZW store (e.g., have the VZW store activate it, so I can keep my same phone # and plan--which is AC's 300)?

Any help on this is much appreciated.

Thanks, xari.

Transferring numbers from Nokia 6820i to 6256i??

I just purchased a 6256 from Best Buy and was wondering if anyone knows how to get my contacts over from the old phone. Both have bluetooth and infrared so it should be doable.

vtext.com

Does anyone know when you send text messages using the vtext.com portal, does your phone get charged for sending the text message? (if your number is in the reply section?)

Proof that the razr is coming!!! YAY

As looking through the news and new phones on the main screen of phone scoop, i was looking at the stylish A900, throughout reading the details of it i came across this...

"The CDMA RAZR should hit the market with Verizon in a few weeks, about the same time the A900 will launch with Sprint, making this an interesting head-to-head battle."

So heres proof ladies and gents, that the eagerly awaited CDMA Razr is on its way ;)

Whats the problem verizon?

I've been a verizon customer for about 3 years now and have been happy with them above all others - but there are two things that I gripe about: 1) Unlike many other carriers, they have to figure out a way to charge extra fees for absolutely everything. For example, I remembered googles launch of mobile support for their maps. I thought I would check it out, knowing what I was going to find. See for yourself: http://www.google.com/glm/getstarted.html? Notice what network isn't supported? Awhile back it was also yahoo with several of their services. 2) The phones. Everyone knows this. They take forever to get them, and when they do they are F***ed up. Such as the infamous V710 BT issue. There are no excuses, period. Right now, I am fed up eno...
