Does anyone have any info on release/availability anything?????????????????

If I can buy a phone online or at an authorized retailer for 220 dollars, why do verizon stores sell it for 350 and are not willing to match the prices? 👿

On Verizon's website, there is a county nearby, Guernsey in Ohio, that was never in a Verizon Wireless market and now it appears that there is service from VZW now, according to the coverage map online. And the city i'm mentioning is Cambridge.

This is an area that Alltel serviced, so does this mean that Verizon is expanding into Alltel's region in east Ohio and the northern West Virginia panhandle along I-70?

It looks like there is some expansion along that major interstate, hopefully they keep moving eastward if this is the case.

I have an older ACP-7U charger from a previous Nokia phone. Anyone know if it's safe to use with the 6256i? Nokia's website says The ACP-7U is compatible with the 6255i, so I'm assuming it's OK to use.

I spoke to a Radio Shack manager yesterday, and asked him if they participated in the NE2 program, and he told me that yes, they do. Of course they didn't have the 6256i yet, but eh. It's good to know the local RS's use the NE2.

Maybe it varies from store to store?

Just picked it up at Best Buy and the first thing I noticed is that the hinge seems a little weak. With the phone open, just a very slight nudge causes the phone to flip shut - none of my phones were ever that sensitive. I'm nervous that this could wear out quickly.

Also, there's only one indentation cut out at the earpiece - the second indentation is filled in with plastic.

Anyone else see the same things with theirs?

Ok I think I read you guys saying it would be like extrmely expensive but we got news from alltel we are releasing it monday 21'st of November for 199.99 on a 2 year. So Verizon's price might be the same.

What color is the Nokia 6256i? Is it blue and silver or all silver? I am hoping for the latter!

First he told me VZW doesn't carry nokia phones, then i offered to give him the SKU number, and he laughed and said, oh that phone, it will be here before christmas we were told. 😡 What the hell? Why does Best Buy have it but not the companies own stores? 👿

Yes, the webpage no longer says "only available in stores from BestBuy, RadioShack", but allows you to buy the phone directly from the site with or without a plan. Without plan, the price is $289 w/ free shipping. Only problem is that .... ehhhh, it is ..., back-ordered 😲

It's around $300 for brand-new, unlocked 6256i with no contract attached. I'm just not sure if VZW would give you some headache in activating the phone you bought from Ebay.

The reason that I am considering Ebay is that I don't see them in local stores yet, and I don't know about the price even when they become available. The online deals, like inphonic, are for new customers only I believe.

Verizon Employees - How about sharing with us when we'll be able to get the Nokia 6256i from the Verizon Stores or Website? Surely you're not going to let the LOYAL customers wait that much longer. 😉

According to nokiausa.com, this phone uses RS-MMC for expanded memory. I wonder if there is any other requirement for RS-MMC for 6256i, because according to one guy's review on Amazon there might be voltage compability problem when using RS-MMC and I have no clue what that is. Anyone know about this?

Just a stupid question and i hope you dont take offense to it,but why did you guys close all your Ohio stores execpt the one in my mall?I dont wanan assume that was the only store you guys had that was making a profit.But whats the deal?

Does anyone have a list of upcoming phones b/f the end of the year? I know the razor and the nokia flip are coming or are out but are there any others you know about? I really need to upgrade my lg6000 and would like to get a small flip w/ speakerphone. I understand the Nokia flip has a speaker that can operate w/ the flip closed but it is pretty big.

Any ideas?
