Need Phone Advice!

Have a family share plan w/4 lines total. Just became eligible foe NE2 on primary line and for contract price (subsidized) on the second. Based on the good advice on this forum I've decided I will use the NE2 to replace my Moto T720 with the new Nokia (when it hits corporate stores).

The second line (my wife's) is eligible for subsidized price, but she is very happy with her old VX-6000 and does not want to upgrade.

Question 1 - Can I get upgrade at subsidized price on my wife's line, and activate on a third line (my youngest son's)?

Question 2 - My son is a very active 13 yo and is VERY tough on phones. What is the most rugged, durable phone VZW offers? Don't need or want bells and whistles. Just good voice service with a phone tha...

working for Verizon?

Hi guys, I just wanted to get the opinion of people who work for Verizon on how things go for Verison employees. I am currently in sales with Us Cellular, and hate to leave this company based on how well they treat us employees, and how great opps. ther are for advancement, however in about 6 months my fiancee will be attending a school in an area that my company is not a part of (Dallas TX), and I am going with her. I work in retail sales, and will be looking for a position of the same sorts. so, how do you like it? is pay decent?does the company empower you to do your job well? I hear good things so far, but dont know anyone who works for Verizon here in town, so please leave feedback! Thank you so much in advance!

This is for decision makers at VZW

Since emailing Verizon results in a canned "thank you, you have been ignored, have a nice day!" response, I figured maybe I'll post this here.

I just want to thank Verizon for continually giving their existing customers the finger. I realize it's common practice for wireless providers to screw their existing customers at every possible oppurtunity they have, but Verizon seems to excel in this area. Disabling one of the primary functions of bluetooth in their phones in an effort to force their users to use their pay based service instead of course isn't enough for them. Now they are selling the long awaited never before seen feature packed Nokia (6256i) to new customers through radioshack/inphonic and again, giving their existing customers...

Inphonic vs. VzW

Excuse me if this has been asked about the 6256i, but I lost track about 52 threads ago:

the price for the 6256i on inphonic is $129.99 w/ a 2 year contract.

in relation...

what can the expected price be directly through VzW? What rebates or discounts does inphonic do that would detract from the actual price?

VzW free calls between VzW customers under which conditions?

1) If I get a Verizon phone (the Nokia 6256i if it ever gets to VzW stores), and...

2) if I get an Individual Plan just for me, and...

3) if I get a National Plan, then...

will all calls that I make with *any* other VzW customers be free? Or do they also have to belong to the National Plan?

Yes, I HAVE checked out the VzW website and I have seen the plans, but the question for me remains unanswered.

Will it have expandable memory?

Why is everything out of stock????

Just looking at accessories on the Verizon Wireless website and a lot (more than are not) of the accessories say out-of-stock. Does anyone know why this is????????????? I mean, I'm not dumb, I know what out-of-stock means, but why so many?

Verizon UI Background

With the new Verizon UI are you able to customize the background wallpaper, or do you have to stick with the VCAST background. My current phone is able to use pictures from the camera as the background.

Thanks

PDA phone w/ bluetooth

I have an Acura with Handsfree Link. Does anyone know of a PDA phone that would work with the car's handsfree? The Treo from Cingular works, but Verizon's supposedly doesn't (of course). I heard that it's not the greatest phone anyway. Anyone know if the new Razr pda phone will be bluetooth enabled? What about the windows version of the Treo? I have had the car for 18 months, but haven't found a Verizon phone that works, yet!! Thanks!

and another thing.. why won't nextell just die?

i would like nextell to get pushed off a cliff, on fire, while being shot with a nail gun.

now, why does nextell make us jump through freaking hoops to port people from them? first they put a number block on their customers, which really blows, but lately they've been requiring more and more info to clear people. are they really insecure about losing their customers? what is it? cingular doesn't mind passing people on to us, why does nextell throw such a fit?

EVDO Restrictions?

Ok some of you know next year I am taking my services over to Verizon but can some one tell me if this is true? I can not look it up as I am at work and behind a firewall or proxy, what ever you like to call it. Well I read this on another forum site.

Verizon's EVDO service: hilariously restrictive use policy
The terms for Verizon Wireless' EVDO service says you can use the high-speed data service for email, Web browsing, and intranet applications *AND NOTHING ELSE*.
NationalAccess and BroadbandAccess data sessions may be used with wireless devices for the following purposes:
(i) Internet browsing; (ii) email; and (iii) intranet access (incl...

Nokia 6256i Listed as 'Available' According to Nokia's Website

http://www.nokiausa.com/phones/6256i/0,7747,,00.html »

It says "Available from: Best Buy, Radio Shack".

Has anyone seen it at Best Buy yet (or in-store at Radio Hack), or is Nokia jumpin' the gun by a few days?

6256i contact list limit - can someone please verify?

I was reading the 6256i user guide on the Nokia site (different than the user guide on Verizon's site by the way), and it says the 6256i has a limit of 500 contacts. Phonescoop says the the contact list uses shared memory, which to me means as many contacts (synched with Outlook in my case) that can be held in memory.

Can someone give a definitive answer? This is a major factor for me.

Thanks

Verizon's family plans vs T-Mobile's

I really want Verizon's family plan but for 69.99 you only get 700 mins. T-mobile 59.99 gets you 700 and 69.99 gives you 1000. Will verizon change their family plans anytime soon.
