Verizon and the VX-7000a or VX-7000?

Does anyone definitively know if Verizon is going to offer the VX7000a - which is the one with tri-mode?

VX4400 Help

I have a customer that has a VX4400. She has all at once started getting a Menu Search popping on the inside display of her phone. It totally locks her up. She has to take the battery out, and restart the phone, and it still says it, but she is able to make calls. Any clue what is might be? Any help will be appreciated!

Crappy customer service

I had a bad experience with customer service yesterday, this really proves why Verizon sucks and that their 36 million customers have been brain washed.

I called in to get a new phone because I dropped mine in the lake. Customer service rep told me that I can't get a new phone for free--that's bullshit. I've been a customer for 6 months, therfore I deserve a new phone. Verizon owes me for my phone getting wet. Besides, about 1 out of 10 calls drop (usually when I'm driving through a tunnel)--superior coverage my ass. I also declined insurance because it's a waist of money and because big companies can afford to take a hit; they should take one for me 'cause I'm such a great customer.

V710 cancelled?

a couple of people in the General forum claim that the phone was not approved by Verizon. I did my best to contact people from both Verizon and Motorola. Motorola claim its coming out by the end of this month, or early july. Verizon say that they don't have it on their list of approved handsets, but they also do not know if it will or will not be approved, or the date of its release if it is approved.

So much confusion... Does anyone else have reliable information on whether or not it will come out or not?

Voice Mail

Question...I have a customer that is wanting to know if VZW in Ohio Market has backdoor numbers that they can leave a message for a VZW customer without calling thier phone. I told my customer I was not aware of any, unless you dial * 86 Send, enter in your passcode, press 2 to create a message and so on. You can also do it by doing the same as above, but instead of pressing 2, press 5 to restart the session, and enter the VZW number that way.

Can anyone please help me with this? He is a former Alltel customer, and he liked this feature with them.

Local Choice Vs. America's Choice?

I just signed up with Verizon and I am TOTALLY confused.
Now if your on a "local" plan - I can see being charged for roaming.
But I picked America's choice - so I have to pay for roaming? Isnt Verizon all across the country? And if Im calling from my home on the cell - Verizon has no long distance?!
Im not sure Im gonna keep this if thats the case.

Which carrier would you suggest?

When the new megapixel camera phones come out, I want to get one, but I need some help deciding which carrier to choose for the picture sending/receiving service. As far as the audio reception goes, It seems that Verizon is probably the best, but I know that Sprint is very clear in my area (30 miles north of Austin, Texas). I have T-mobile right now but the reception sucks. But it seems that T-mobile is best for picture sending because when you send them, they go right where you want them to go, not to a website where the receiving person gets a link to the picture and has to get it through the link, which is a pain in the butt. Sprint does it this way.
I'm not sure how AT&T does it yet. I dont like the fact that Verizon charges airtime t...

iSync compatible phones

I have the occasional customer bugging me about this, and I never really have a good answer for them. There don't seem to be many CDMA phones that are Macintosh iSync compatible. There is a list of handsets on the Apple website, but it appears to be pretty out of date, and the only "current" model I have ever been able to come up with is the Motorola V60. Now that the V60s is becoming scarce, I don't know what to tell my Mac users. Does anybody know for sure which current handsets will work, or where I can find an up to date list? Thanks a lot.

Discontinued / Dropped Phones

Is there any chance we could get someone who's "in the know" to step forward and tell us which phones being speculated by Verizon have been dropped. I know there's a million people on here ranting about "when's this new phone coming out" and we always get the standard line that you cant give out actual dates. All I'm asking for is some kind of notification (or where I can find such information) for the phones that Verizon has decided that they're NOT going to offer.

If you do a search from this very website's phone finder, you'll get a list of phones including models that seem to be commonly known as not going to be offered.

Come on Big V, throw a guy a bone and at least tell me which coconut shells aren't hiding the little red ball....

V710 Update from Motorola -

😢

Here's the latest on what Motorola is saying about the availability of the V710. THeir email follows.

Dear Mr./Ms. Customer,

Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to be of service to you.

Regarding your question the V710 will be release during the first or second week of June through Verizon. You can be one of the first 710 people to register your purchase of the V710 when it launches, and you will get a free Bluetooth® accessory to go along with a handset that exceeds all your expectations.

All I can say is crap, I wanted it on the 21st

You'll see

Verizon Wireless sucks!!! Superior company? Ha,ha,ha. "We do not need to change our off-peak min because we are superior.
I can imagine having to talk to a Verizon Rep: "I get poor reception at my house."
The rep will reply: "I do not think so, you are lying damn bastard... We have superior coverage..." ha,ha,ha. Poor customers of yours. How arrogant.

Going to Verizon

Well, my girlfriend and I have made our choice and we're going to Verizon from Tmobile. The account is going to be my girlfriend's name because of my crappy credit.

So, given this, my tmobile is account is in my name. Should we wait to do my port in request by having my girlfriend call Verizon customer care. Considering it seems like everyone except people here or Verizon Porting Department says I cannot port in my number because the verizon account is going to be in her name while the tmobile which I know is false since I do that many times doing Nextel Care.

Going to do family share plans but the girlfriend decided not to do this. Oh well.

Verizon vs. Cingular

I currently use Sprint PCS and am in the Chicago area. I was thinking of switching to Cingular or Verizon Wireless. I like the Motorola flip phones and would probably get a V600 if I went with Cingular (GSM) or wait for the V710 if I went with VZW (CDMA). What does everyone else think? I like VZW's high service-marks and some websites make it seem CDMA is better. On the other hand, most of my friends recommend GSM because you get a SIM card in your GSM phone. Of course, the V710 (CDMA) has a card slot, so that's kind of moot in the sense of keeping your address book, etc. from getting lost (assuming the V710 lets you save that stuff on the card). Plus, the V710 takes and plays video, which sounds pretty damn spiffy. 😉

What d...

Cingular or Verizon

This may seem like a redundant issue but...

I am a current customer of Cingular with a TDMA phone. I am not happy with call quality ie. static, voice clarity, dropped calls etc. Should I switch to Verizon or upgrade to Cingular GSM assuming call quality is the prdominent issue for me.

I live in the eastern Pa area

How many interviews?

I had a second interview last week after I submitted my resume to a VZ store. It appeared to go extremely well and they said the next step would be to set up a third interview and perhaps one in corporate.
Am I being interviewed for a sales job or what?

I am a very experienced salesperson who has, in retail, exceeded my $150,000 quota by 85,000 each year.

Is this standard procedure?
