Not happy with 2 wk old 8900 - tinny sound quality when talking and the speaker option is worse - ring tone/vibrate so low-key it wouldn't disturb a gnat. HOWEVER, it has the key features I need: tri-mode, speaker, camera.

Knowing that there are new phones coming, my local store mgr extended the 15-day return for a few more days on the off chance that at least one of the new ones will be out shortly.

The crap shoot dilemma is this: do I grab the first available phone that has 'my' preferred specs, or hang onto the 8900. There are Moto lovers, LG lovers, and Samsung lovers...I just want to have the key features I need.

Does anyone know of any new future rates that will be coming ou anytime soon? The current rates are just not alluring enough to make the switch.

I have been going to different forums in the last few months.
But before I get into that. I'm a vrz customer with 8 months left on my contract.
I'm been hearing a lot that GSM is the way of the future, and GSM will beocme WCDMA or WCDMA2000 in the coming years.
Is it true that CDMA has only maybe a few years before it becomes obsolete? And if CDMA does or will "fall to the way side", why resign with a CDMA carrier?
Though I'm with Vrz, my phone is a LG VX-6000, with NO analog back up. The Vrn analog towers and coverage do not apply to me. Which it seems to me that Vrz coverage maps are not telling the WHOLE TRUTH!

Can a customer who has a LG-VX series phone from a former VZW activation (now no longer a customer) set up this phone as a VZW prepay?

I am holding friends back from Verizon because we are waiting for this phone.

Does anyone in the know have any info on this phone? Is it officially a VZW phone?

I work for an agent in Ohio, and I have an agent plan on my Verizon Phone...and I went to Logansport, Indiana this last weekend. I was roaming in Logansport, Indiana but when I drove 15 minutes to Kokomo, Indiana I was not. Does anyone know on agent plans, does it not include extended network? I can use my phone on the Alltel Extended Network over in Ohio. I know the area that I was in and I was roaming in was a Digital US Cellular Area.

I am just curious. I have the VX4500, and I used to have the VX4400, and I was in roam with the 4400 also.

I have verizon.. i've been with them for 2 1/2 years and i have the LGVX6000.. i live in Michigan and i used to really like verizon but i HATE them now because i ONLY get service in Flint Michigan.... I live in Flushing and i have told the ppl up at verizon this but they tell me its because flushing is in a hole... so i said to them why the hell dont you put up more toweres?!! Nextel, Cingular, ATT all get full signals where i live! Also when i travel to Tawas my phone has only ONE bar of signal... i have had 5 phones since i have been with Verizon and they have all been like this? So i was wondreing if anyone eles is having any problems like this... and if someone can help me get out of my contract w/o paying $175 PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I have verizon wireless. I have a very horrible phone currently and i want to get a new phone. I'm looking for a color phone that i could download ringtones to. I'm looking for a phone that doesn't look horrible and doesn't cost all that much but if i have to, i'm willing to. Can anybody help me with thier opinions??

Just don't understand why no bluetooth from this carrier. I have a Acura TL and need a BT phone. I coverage of Verizon is the best, hands down. T Mobile, Cingular, or AT&T will not work at my residence.

Just an FYI. My company's business rep, Dannielle is already carrying her 7000 handset. She won it from the COO of Verizon Wireless during an employee meeting for reciting some company initiatives or whatever sometime last week. I got to play around with it shortly-- it looks great! I just wish it was pure silver because I'm not a big fan of the color blue. Nonetheless, it's a beauty. She said the execs announced that the VX-7000 will be out shortly along with the VOX 9900 to coincide with the Video Messaging launch.

Has anyone else used the coverage locator on their web site. Not bad. I'm still not sure if "Enhanced Service" means their 1X network.

I was just curious as to why the nations largest (currently) wireless provider, the great and powerful Verizon Wireless, didn't seem to quite with with the rest of the nation today in terms of Wireless Portability. I had three ports right away this morning ripping customers away from the mighty Verizon and not one seemed to go through....why is that you might ask - According to Verizon, only the top 100 markets were eligible to port and their auto response rejected all ports from outside of the area. Thankfully, this problem seemed to fix itself by approximately 2pm, but you'd think that such a large company would have been ready for such an important day in the wireless industry. How embarrassing 🤭

I am looking to buy a mobile office kit and a car charger for the LG 4600. The problem is that I found multiple brands of data cables on ebay, some less expensive than others. Which brand should I purchase? I need a data cable and drivers so that I can connect my laptop to the internet.
