!@#$%^& Cingular!

So yesterday this center offerec VTO (voluntary time off) because it was not so busy. So I said sure, I'll help the company out and take 1/2 the day off.

So I get the par report yesterday, took 30 calls and 2 people had short called me (they hung up within 20 secs) and IM TO BLAME FOR NOT PASSING THE F****** STATS! GOD THEY ARE SO ******!

Does the Ogo still exist? If it does where can I get one? Oh and uh can you use one with a Cingular(sorry I know you guys & gals hate that word ☹️ ) plan? Thanks! 🙂

Proxify doesn't allow access to some sites anyone. Anyone know a type of default user name we can use?

Halifax center is fudging the numbers...

Well this is VP week in Halifax. Most of the week we had 2 VP from somewhere in the US which makes these people important somehow. I came to work yesterday and walked into a circus of ridiculousness. I don’t need my work environment to be filed with stupid orange balloons.

Why can’t the con spend some of this money on phones and headsets that work correctly? The point of this rant is not this; it’s the fact that these VPs who visited here can’t be too intelligent if they can’t figure out that Halifax is fudging the number this week. TLs were acting as RES and well, RES was being res. If your hand went up, someone was at your desk almost instantly. It’s almost like they cared, almost…

Most other days, our hand is in the air any...

Wanna SHORTchange Cingular? Here's how!

Rep's stats are negatively affected when they get hung up on in the first 20 seconds, and that is UNFAIR! They obviously don't listen to reason, or just don't care, so here is what we are going to do:

On your spare time, call cingular, get a rep and hang up (with or without saterical comments!)
1. Call 1-800-331-0500
2. Press 1 for english
3. Enter 954-294-0000, your call should be routed to a florida market call center (on the cingular side, not AT&T)
4. When the rep answers the phone, don't let them do their speech, you must hang up after a few seconds (don't let it go past 20 seconds or they won't get a short call).

Repeat as nescessary until you feel satisfied. We plan on doing this each day for an hour or two if we can.....

The REAL Greatest Canadian

So, a while back the CBC did their Greatest Canadian contest. So I think we should do our own, to give us something to do. And to get us away from all the fussing and the feuding.

My two nominees are as follows.

Sam Steele. He kept the Yukon from turning to the lawlessness of the American West during the gold rush days. As well, Custer came after Sitting Bull with a full army and was slaughtered like a hog. O'l Sam took two guys, told him to play nice, and he did during his stay in Canada.

And I'll take Pam Anderson as number two. Sure, she's the ditzy puppet of a radical animal rights group. But good God can she ever run down a beach in slow motion.

Job satisfaction

If so many people working for Cingular are so unhappy and seem to only complain about their jobs and how much they hate it, WHY NOT QUIT???? i absolutly can not stand when people gripe all day about how crappy their job is ... if it is THAT terrible then pony up and quit!!!!!!!! GO WORK AT McDONALDS!!!!

So's I sez to 'im, I sez......

So, I get this customer. He got a bill, but he claimed that he cancelled his service in August of 2004. Fine, look at the account, find out he only suspended in August. Tell him that, he back pedals, sez that's what he meant.

Strike One

So, he sez to me, he sez, 'I called in November and cancelled.' Ok, go check that out. Ok, sorry bud. Not a single call between September 1st and February 21st. Ouch.

Strike Two.

So, I sez to him, I sez, everytime someone accesses your account, it records on our system. You didn't call because I don't see it. He accuses me of providing poor customer service, because I was ignoring his threat to move all his lines to a different company. He's getting agitated now, starting to swear a bit.

Cingular blue employees???

Just curious if anyone knows if we "Cingular Blue"
reps can join the union like the orange reps can.
If so is it worth it?

How?

How does a company with so many resources to track their agents' released calls manage to not be able to get a combined order system where we would be able to see orders placed at Bell South or the blue side or in a store or online. Why do thay have to have 20 different departments for each?

NIGHTMARE... On Cingular Hell Street!!!

OMG OMG OMG !!! I woke up in a pool of sweat at 4:30 am, exactly two hours after I went to bed after watching the movie Birth. I dreamt that I couldn't migrate a couple of customers over to Cingular when their TDMA services were eligible for migration according to Axys but apparently the services couldn't be found in the CSR Tool. Typical migration nightmare when you get errors with no explanation... ugh!!! I seriously need to get away, or else my mind will!!! *Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!*

I wrote this as an official letter to send to my MO, TL, and my center's MO as well. I just thought I'd throw it out there to see what you all think, since my TL calmed me down about sending it out right away....

To whom it may concern,

Recently Cingular Wireless implemented a policy by which it rates the performance of its call-centers’ employees. These metrics are collectively known as PAR, and they measure 4 parameters: Average Handle Time (AHT), Availability (Your time logged into the phone, minus the after-call work and hold time), Short Calls (defined as calls less than 20 seconds), and Transfer Rate. These were introduced in an effort to standardize employee reviews. In actual practice, however, these metrics do not effectively...
