CUP

Why doesn't customer care understand that you CANNOT use CUP pricing on GSM accounts?? Were they just not trained that you can't, or is it just out of laziness? CUP DOESN'T track 2.5G equipment upgrades. If you base your info on CUP, customers could get discounted phones EVERY FRIKKIN' DAY!

The phone has to be on the acct a year before eligibility! CHECK THE DATE IN SIEBEL BEFORE YOU TELL A CUSTOMER TO COME IN STORE AND GET A DISCOUNT BECAUSE THEY WON'T IF IT HASN'T BEEN A YEAR!

SST DO YOUR JOB!!!

I for one am soooo sick of getting calls from SST who want me to do their job. Claiming they don't have access to the policies and procedures information (or any information for that matter). I have complained to my supervisor and filed feedback on countless SST REPS that want care to tell the cust the bad news, or transfer escalated calls to us claiming the cust asked to speak to a "customer care specialist".
My favorite is REPs who "don't have access to that information" they must think we are stupid, the only thing we have that they don't is seibel.
I guess ownership is not one of SST resolutions factors. I think a CARE REP should get $1.00 everytime he/she has to take a call from an SST that could have finished the job themselves.
Co...

So this is MY fault?

Maybe I'm just missing out on a lot of money owed to me, but I've never seen a single penny for a damaged equipment charge or shipping and handling fee. I say that because the customers I've had today seem to believe that I, personally, charged their account and will be reaping the benefits of the charge soon. It's either that or they've somehow decided, before even speaking to me, that I can reverse these charges but I'm not going to because of my personal vendetta against a person I've never met and began speaking with two minutes ago. I know all customers aren't like this but all mine today have been. I was just wondering if maybe some of you are getting commission on roaming charges or internet usage, etc. If so please tell me what piece...

Say What!?!?!

Being in the industry and talking to your everyday "Joe" on the fon i'm sure all of us have had those calls. You know what i'm talking about, those calls that give you gratification, calls that drive you insane, calls that make you laugh and calls that make you say WTF? I would love to share the "jems" and i want to hear yours!

Gratification: Customer called in with physical damage on his fon, LCD was shattered, he garrenteed that he would not be charged for physical damage, i said he would, he BET me his pay check that he wouldn't, so being the sporting person i am, i exchanged his fon. 1 month later to the day he called back screaming his head off about the charge, i was fortunate enough to get him, i reminded him about his bet. I h...

unobservant?

one thing that amuses me about customers that call into warranty exchange is how unobservant some of them are. this doesn't come up very often (because of the way I handle my calls), but when it does, it both amuses me and mystifies me.
for instance, one thing that customers have to do for warranty exchanges is to read certain information from the label inside the device underneath the battery. now, if you say, "please read me all the numbers you see on that label inside the phone," then the majority of the time, they usually leave out one to three things, including some of the information we need. and while sometimes, it is no doubt due to poor eyesight, a lot of the time, it is just a matter of the customer overlooking it, because if you...

IT will never end

😢 Tonight is never going to end. The calls are extremely slow. Not even any good prank calls. For once on a Friday night every one got a life. Now that I have complained I am of course gonna be on a call for three hours after my shift.... hope everyone else's night is going a little better...

The Pi**ing contest that is ' Leave My S*** Alone'

Hello, new to this whole gig, thank-ee...

I would just like to lodge my official protest to the thread 'Leave My S*** Alone', originally posted by rep1of2000 (thanks, buddy), which has now turned into the new feeding frenzy of the irritated and the petty. If there is a way to remove the thread, such to ward away anymore ridiculously inane (and I know these threads are usually inane, but jebus...)3-sentence jabs, stick-throwing, and "Oh yeah? OH YEAH!?!'s", I would certainly like to see it done.

Regards,
Eloi in the far Future

Cleaning up after themselves

I was reading a macroeconomics textbook sitting on my table this morning, and I read an interesting passage, a maxim, if you will, concerning current market policy. This passage read along the lines of 'Self-interest is the motivating factor of every business transaction'. Now, forgive me for sounding incredulous (for I think it is fairly obvious self-interest plays a large role in our lives, consumer preference especially), but I think to navigate life, using self-interest as a motivating factor is dangerous. Not only does it foster a certain amount of 'me-versus-them' hostility in interpersonal interactions, but it also tempts us all to act the same way, constructing socio-ecology of competition; an ecology, mind, that we cannot hope to fu...

Creeps, Wierdos, Perverts and Abusive Customers

Yesterday was the most rediculous day Ive had in working here for a year.

1) Kids call in, pretending to be the police, start screaming and screaming at me because they couldnt vid an account, claiming the deceased accountholder wanted them to have the phone. Kids obviously stole the phone, but did manage to keep me entertained for about 20 minutes trying to vid the account.

2) Guy calls in, account pops on call display, but only hear heavy berathing and then it drops. I read the account notes, the guy has called in practically every hour on the hour for the last 2 months. The accountholder claims her son is "definately not calling our customer care line from her phone to harass reps" according to notes. Out of spite, I blocked out...

Putting the "O" in No

The general public that carries cell phones are some scary individuals.
Basically what it boils down to as stated in a study based on why so many people have cell phones is that it makes undereducated people feel more self importance.
For instance, remember when the first cordless models came out and everything felt the need to call you while doing no. 2 and tell you that they are using the bathroom.
Because they are on the fon taking a crap it's a form of social standing. Talking about "baby daddy" and picking up some tampoons at the "Walmart" checkout line loud enough for everyone to hear makes that individual feel more advanced. What's even scarier is if you listen in generally the conversations go like this "What are you doin...

NOTHING IS FREE

've been doing some reasearch online and spoke with some of my friends who have done this and have found some questionable sites for downloading ringtones. They also have flashy ads on TV and in magazines. You text message a code for the tone or graphic to a 5 digit #, so far i have seen 25000 - for DirtyHippo.com ... OR ... 75555 and 35555 for Jamster.com, for your "FREE" ringtone or graphic. And it seems that the first one is "FREE" but once you recieve the first one and then you decide to order another one, for the low low price of 1.99. Guess what?? You're signed up for a minimum of 4 weeks from the time you originally signed up for the paid download and depending on what you signed up for you're charged 1.99 for each message you recieve...

Cingular Reps: Good vs Evil...

Ok so the great debate between everyone is that Cingular is horrible.

Some have argued because of the complaints filled with the FCC, some because of the reps being negative, etc...

Some reps try to backup Cingular with the use of rollover and because of the improved GSM coverage, etc...

I for one have shown myself to be on the company's side, though I do disagree with some of their "protocols."

Customers out there will have their needs and wants. I have seen many customers that could use the Rollover, some that don't. Some that really need a lot of daytime but don't wish to pay more then what they are paying now.

Many customers, many needs. Can Cingular fulfill them all, no, can any other company, no.

In conclusion, sto...
