I promise I'm a really nice guy

I get off in 45 minutes and I want to be nice and discuss policy and stuff rationally before I leave. This of course means I would like for someone to reply to this, assuming you have the intellectual backing, so I can stay awake until I go home. Or 1stCanuck could reply and I could spend the end of my shift adding to the already horrendous public humiliation of another human being. 😁

Spicing things up a bit...

So has anyone had any good experiences either with customers or just working for the company in general? I was just wondering because we all (myself included) constantly mention the negative aspect of our employment and don't pay much attention to those rare positive moments. Since it seems we're all stuck here, for a while at least, I thought maybe I could use this as a morale booster. I know I'm frequently in need of a good laugh to make it through the day.
My most memorable call was a dispute with RM, that continued 1 1/2 hrs. past the end of my shift and I got the call 45 minutes before I was supposed to get off (surprise surprise). I was dealing with the sweetest customer I've ever spoken to who had been wrongly charged for warranty eq...

US Cellular rated best. Cingular-ATT rated worst.

New report just out. Number of complaints per million customers:

Cingular-ATT = 288.9

US Cellular = 39.4

Just the facts, mam. ( Here comes the excuses )

The Almighty SPORK!!!!!

The world needs a new revolutionary invention like the spork...it's simply an amazing invention and to believe that with all of our technology and plastic wrap in so many different colors(not to mention smells) that one man out there actually considered making a fork and spoon combined...wow...it blows my brains out of my head...SPORK! It even has a really cool name. You can eat mashed potatoes with a spoon but it's always more fun to spork em. Spork this I'm so bored...I'm sorry I just wanted to see the word spork on this forum. Anyone heard of this model. It's a completely invisible ultra feather light weight fon with two hyper super charged glowing monkey skins for front and back casing.(Monkey skin has great resistance to drops of 200ft. or higher.) Reps around you

Any of you ever sat/currently sit around a rep that just annoys you to the point that you would rather stab yourself with rusted glass (yes, rusted glass) than listen to him/her take another call? Not that I'm referring to the person diagonally to the right of me, or any one person in particular, I was just sitting here and wondered if anyone else has experienced something similar. 😉

it's always nice...

It's always nice to get a reasonable customer on the line. Like the last guy I had. He wasn't screaming. He had a reasonable concern, if slightly amusing, and he accepted my explanation.
It's people like that who foster goodwill and are worth helping out a little extra. and it didn't hurt that he was also a slightly higher end customer, too.
The guy wasn't exceptionally nice and pleasant. He was simply reasonable. That's all I can ask for. 🙂
oppositely, it's the beasts we get (like one in particular I got yesterday) that it's difficult to go out of my way for, because once I do, they try to drag it as far as they possibly can and get even more when they are already getting more than they deserve.

when I advised someone a fon is out of warranty and they state well soso told me it's under warranty this morning...and I'm a WARRANTY SERVICE RESOLUTION AGENT WITH ACCESS TO INVENTORY don't try to play off like you think the fon is still under warranty...admit to defeat and buy another fon...Make my life simpler and motivate yourself to make "that my fon is broke and I need to buy a new one decision" don't argue that because you were misinformed you feel intitled to service...GO BUY A NEW FON!!!! It's more fun to start out new....variety is the spice of life...you can't bring money with you when ya die...spend it all now...on new fons...buy backups...buy Go phones...get service thru multiple carriers...and drop whoever you like the least......

CELL FONS R THE DEVIL

Someone answer me this:

Why does more than half of the known universe own a wireless fon and very few know how to use them properly?

How does a fon not power on and have a blank display hmmm?(this one is easy)

Why doesn't anybody think to look into their free "users guide" they get with the darn fons when the have the simplest of problems?(put it next to your toilet it makes good "not the shampoo bottle reading material.")

(I'm sorry everyone...today has been slam my head in my desk drawer cause it feels good day.)

Is it just me or...

Have I just been brainwashed from working here so long, or is it reasonable for me to assume when I tell a customer no, they should take that as no? It seems that our customers believe that I'm only bluffing and trying not to offer everything I have available because I enjoy arguing these pointless policies over and over. My goal is to tell a customer everything I have to say within the first five minutes of the call. After that five minute mark, the only coversation should be questions regarding what I said, as far as I'm concerned. Some situations take longer than five minutes, I understand, but %99.9 of my calls could be handled within five minutes if the customer would listen and believe me. I don't care about lying to a customer, it onl...

Wow... What are they training TSD?

I'm in a BEUC rep and one of my teammates was just told by a TSD rep that Cingular customers cannot send text messages to Verizon customers 🤣 . Who told them that and why are they a tech rep. Mind you its not a MMS just an SMS. That the funniest thing (and worst for a tech rep 🙄 ) that I have ever heard 🤣 .

Pointless charge...

I got a customer who had 1/3 a day of service and was charged overage only even though it was a weekend, to save the customer the hassle of having to take care of like $1.40 for that 1/3 day of service I just creditted it all back.

It was really stupid the way the system charged him that partial day. We need that fixed.

I just want to find out one thing... Do cingular orange reps have ACW? Or any form of after call work that will stop you from getting another call right away? Because i work in blue and we no longer have ACW, and their reason is that orange reps have no ACW.

A new plot

I've just been informed that I'm to report to "quality training" today. It feels like I'm in a concentration camp being lead to my demise. I've already been briefed by coworkers about the contents of this training, and basically, it all comes down to making it easier to receive a Not Resolved for the minutiae of a call. I'm assuming it's center specific, possibily only related to WEX. Anyone else experiencing anything similar? Any other "get fired quick" schemes?
