It's really sad when...

...you take an Orange escalation call and while talking to the customer, you can peg him as a former Blue customer before the words "I was with AT&T Wireless for YEARS..." can pass his lips. *sigh*

CALLING WEX RES DESK

This is directed mainly toward customer care reps (BEUC included). The wex res desk does not have nearly the authority of other res desks for other departments. Let me explain what we can do...oh wait, absolutely nothing other than speak English more clearly than our Indian counterparts. Seriously, however, we cannot waive fees (shipping and handling or damage). The only thing we do differently than your average WEX rep is process multiwexs. In regards to the multiwex procedure, this is a SAVE ONLY procedure and cannot be proactively offered by any individual. When a WEX REP, I emphasize that because they are the only people that should ever contact us directly, transfers a customer to us for multiwex, we educate the customer about his/her o...

tiny rant

If you are in victoria, don't call warranty res desk. you have your own res desk. The only potential situation that you might need to call warranty res desk for is if you need to have something looked up in oracle, but historically, you tend to ignore the things that would prompt you to need to look things up there. anything else, and you should probably be transferring the customer to the regular warranty service center, and heck, they can probably assist you with most of those issues about as well as warranty res desk can.
Unless you are in Monterrey or Pune, then do not call warranty resolutions. warranty resolutions is only set up to support reps in those two locations. it does not support business end user care!

I don't get it

Kay, I really don't get this. Cust's calling in, wanting pretty new phone but will not change their rate plan to get pretty new phone. 'If you can't give me what i want and keep me on the same plan, then i'll go somewhere else.' Okay... 😳 You can't get a pretty NEW PHONE and stay on the SAME RATE plan, so you'll go somewhere else where you'll get a NEW PHONE and a NEW RATE PLAN. And you couldn't do that here why? 🙄

People that actually LIKE thier job

Isn't it wierd that some people actually like thier jobs at Convergys and Cinglar etc??? Like some people really like the company? I just want to know your opinion of them and how crazy they are, and how you think they're mind works? Drugs? They think they actualyl have an important job? What?

I don't want a contract...

Yeah so I get this call from this guy who would rather cancel, pay the ETF and goto another company. Pay their start up fees and get a phone with a contract BECAUSE he doesn't want a contract with us for getting him a new phone.

Yeah nice, thanks for using common sense there customer. I applaud you. You sure are showing us here by throwing money at us to goto another company. Bravo, I bow down to your superior intellect.

Oh no I got roaming charges because I was too stupid to verify my Home Calling Area(HCA).

Suck it up Princess Peach, you had 3 years to call us and find out what the HCA was like, your fault your gonna pay. Whats this your out of contract and you feel changing to a new company is NOT going to solve your problems buttercup.

When you are worth less then $20.00 to the company, we do care if we lose the business, but not that much if you are demanding over $150.00 in roaming fees credited back to you.

GAH, rant over I feel better.

Any funny racists calls?

Im indian and i refused several times to get a psuedo name (though i licve in Canada) and my name and accent are apparently rather noticable. I ve received some many hilarious calls with jackasses being total jerks to me. Ill share a couple of stories.

I oncwe had a call where the account was transferred from wrrenty exhange (in India) and th rep was having a hell of a time with this texan. He was just being a total jerk to his guy so when he came on the line, he heard me and said rather loudly "Dam @#$ god dam paki". I swear it was like Christ walked again becasue i teed off on him and totally laid him out. He was so embarressed that when i was finally done, he pressed to hang up but he didnt and he said to his friend "dam that guy had ...

Merger Makes me Sick

The Merger made me so sick I had to go on short term disability.

The Merger made me so sick I had to quit my job and draw pogey.

The Merger made me so sick that I am going to get me a lawer and sue Cingular/ATT for pain and suffering.

The Merger my cause the following side effects:

dizziness, nausea, light-headedness, seizures, constipation, impotence, bloating, flatulence, diarrhea, amnesia, fatigue, dry mouth, weight loss, weight gain, psychosis, delusions, hallucinations, dementia, athlete's foot, blackouts, lethargy, apathy, depression, divorce, miscarriage, insomnia, coma, severe allergic reaction & hair loss.

Can you think of any more side effects ?

Can someone give me a verbatim script for what bluetooth is.

Im a digital rep, and i need to know exactly what it does. I sell it.. but still, i dont know what it does or what its used for. I was never taught nor have I ever witnessed it. Pretty self explanatory

I was told I would have to migrate to Cingular...

How many people are gettign these calls?

"... I woud like to replace my phone and I was told that I would have to migrate to cingular."

And then when I tell them that I can indeed order them a new att phone and they can keep thier rate plan. THEY DON'T BELIEVE ME. Same phones as cingular has, just for att.

or customers who want to go from TDMA to GSM - I tell them I can migrate them to ATT GSM, and again they don't beleve me.

or get a new TDMA phone - yes you guessed it, they don't beleive me.

anyhow that is my rant of the day.

Hey I just want to know if you guys have had any issues with migrations that the customer migrated over but was still incurring charges on the ATTWS side for calls and things like that.
