Heard a Rumor . . . Forced Migrations to Cingular

Heard a rumor that around June/July 2005 . . . when the merger reached the 6 month anniversary date, all ATT customer's will be FORCED to migrate to Cingular ?

Anyone out there heard this yet ?

Blame It On Cingular

Latley this is how its been, you get a call customers very upset when they noticed that there bill isnt at its regular price as it is every month. Of course...its cingulars fault "ever since at&t and cingular merged i've gone over my mintues!" or "when they merged they must have changed my rate plan! becasue i never got roaming before" bs your on a local plan. Man these guys will use ever excuse in the book so they dont have to blame themselfs for their mistakes! Next thing they're going to be blammin us for there personal problems "ever since you guys merged the wifes been terrible in bed and i cant get it up...i blame it on you"...heres a suggestion step up for your mistakes!and stop blammin everyone else for your problems. or at least st...

hey, well I'm a former AWS/CING rep out of Edmonton was recently terminated just under a month ago, for those who are in Edmonton i will not let who know my actual name on this forum, but the nicknames zimbu, switchy, or spaz are big hints. well to let everyone know i have quickly regained sanity, or what little i had left before i even started at that hell hole, and keeping with the top 10 list i have decided to make my own, as i don't know any other way to contact the Edmonton floor i will use this in hopes it will spread thru my former center as well other centers, startec, west, and actual AWS/Cing centers like wildfire like to start off by saying farewell to my former co workers, and GOOD BYE SKELETOR THE TL. It's not exactly original...

Hey, this is for the actual cingular reps out there. Now, there are more people in California than in the whole of Canada, therefore, I understand why my cell carrier, Bell, closes after a certain time and I think on Sundays. Small cust base.

Cingular, however, has a rather large cust base. So how does cingular justify closing after a certain time and not being open at all on Sundays? If they would give us ATT reps access to cingular accts, I really wouldn't care about this, but it is incredibly(sp?) frustrating being unable to get a cingular cust some kind of help.

I am aware of the 'after hours help' line, but half the time, it's useless. Just two min ago, a rep sitting next to me called it after trying reg care, and got a cl...

ok so whats the deal? i mean so what its a ****ing chair, its a workplace with NUMEROUS employees and its just a damn chair, this is not high school, go find another chair and use it. its that simple. adjust it to fit your comfort and go from there.

AWOL super.....

my supervisor has gone awol. havent seen him since our little up training 4 hours ago. so, since we have no supervisor i am taking control of the team. and then......bwa ha ha ha ha!!!!!!! the world shall be mine! one call center at a time!!!! MUA HA HA HA HA HA!!! 😈 😈 😈

I know who rep 1of2000 is and yada oughta blah blah blah is ;)(he'll forgive me for that cuz he knows who I am) i think that hillybilly person is my day girl (COWBOYS ROCK) and um that 3xtr3mm or whatever is magic boy (you know who you are)but maybe i am wrong on that but I think Iam right

It's ok, I blame you...

Customer calls in because we have his address wrong, never received a invoice for 1 cycle, gets suspended for breaking the service limit. Guess who gets blammed for poor service, thats right, us.

It's in no way the customer's fault that we have his wrong address or that he didn't bother to call to find out why he hasn't received a bill.

Best past is he is past buyer's remorse, 2 lines of service, so ETF = $300.00 and last months of service on each line with overage galore. Poor SAVE TEAM reprasentative had to deal with this.

I was just wondering, how often has a natural disaster stopped work for a day or two? Like how many call centers have been closed down to any kind of disaster?

Nominations...

In my teams meeting today we found out that we can nominate another rep for a luncheon with the head of our call center. One of the reps in my team mentioned that it would most likely be to popularity game. I agree with him fully. It sounds just like things were back in highschool. I'm not that popular of a guy, and neither is a couple of other ppl in this call center, so therefor most likely me and the select few will never get nominated. Not that many ppl would want to eat lunch with the head of this call center but none the less there will be an unfair advantage for the more liked/popular ppl here. Sorry, just thought I would vent my feelings on this subject here before I vent on a customer.

Beyond Flippin Frustrated, because I tried to stay loyal to ATT/Cingular!

I am beyond flipping frustrated. I have tried so hard to be patient, and now I've shot myself in the foot by doing so, as my thirty day trial has expired.

I was an ATT customer for a long time, beyond my initial service contract. I was happy with my service, and grateful for my military discount. My old phone died, so I called to find out about new plans, should I buy a new phone. I opted for a new phone and plan because I was assured by the very polite representative that she would preserve my foundation account discounts, and she carefully listed my minutes within the plan and they were perfect. I also ordered accessories through this nice woman.

Phone arrived, accessories did not. I waited, as she warned me they wouldn't come ...

If all us blue reps are going to be orange reps soon, does that mean we will have the working hours of cingular reps? anyone hear any rumors about that?

no roaming on cingular

last time I went to the suncom store to pay a bill, I was talking to the associate about the change, and she said that when the whole shabang is over that Cingular will not charge for roaming, or that roaming wont even be in the vocabulary, unless you up and travel to say, Istanbul or where ever, since Cingular coverage will be so big, (at that point, she did some kind of funny face and her eyes bulged out, as to refrence the hugeness of the company).

is that true?

using another carriers phone

a buddy of mine was unloading some phones that he had and gave me his scp-8100. I was wondering if this phone could be used on another carrier (cingular/suncom) or is it just a sprint phone?
