Credit info over the net...

So this lady calls in who was online trying to order a phone and refused to put her credit card in because she wasn't seeing the "132 bit-encryption" message.

So what, you don't trust that we use a secure connection, you feel that a multi-million dollar company is going to use NO secure connection online? Go to a store and do the transaction with them, unfortunatly you can't get web pricing there and go ahead cancel, we got you in contract.

Shut up, stop your bitching, and trust us!!! We stopped phone cloning so we certainly use the best in secure connections, even if you don't see it.

RAWWWWWWWWRRRRRRRRRR venting fun, venting OVER... (for this post anyways).

Anger Management

I need it so badly now, customer called in after just getting her phones switched back to AWS, phones need to be re-registered with the system, after I called the phones to make sure they worked customer stated her husband wanted credit for 24 hours of no service.

I said I would do better and gave her 15 curtesy airtime minutes for both lines that amounted to $6.00 each because her overage is like $0.40/minute.

Their service was switched over 12 hours ago and the only credit I would of given would have been for 12 hours on each line = around $1.50. Congrates customer you got a better deal with the curtesy airetime... snicker.

The best part was I KNEW she was going to demand a credit and I was frickin ready BOOYAH!!!

multiple personalitys anyone?

i just got a call from this guy....i swear he had multiple personalitys. one second hes yelling and screaming over his minute charges, the next hes whining about how his wife left him for some guy with a lobster ranch and an accent....then he apoligizes and acts all nice and sorry...then he starts yelling again? 10 minutes later, hes lecturing me about politics and the badness of bush.....then he gets all sobbey and crying about how since he has to pay so much on his phone bill he cant afford to take women out anymore. im like wtf?...i swear this guy was multiple personalitys big time. altho.....maybe he could benefit from a seperate phone and diffrent phone number for each persona.....so 1 guy with 5 phone lines.....heh....helllloooooooo co...

New Commercial on T.V.

Anybody see the new Cingular T.V. ad?

It's got the guy from Jeapordy who won like 2+ million on the show, selling Cingular.Now that's a man who reads his bill and won't call in!!

also notice how they never mentioned ATTWS teaming with Cingular once.The phasing out of the name "ATTWS" begins!!!!!

This Job Keeps Getting Worse

PIR, defects, calibrations, Totterdale, yaddah yaddah yaddah.....they all SUCK!! My job is to do monitorings and issue reports on people's calls. I hate doing this because it is all BULL! I can only imagine how much the reps hate having to have their whole call judged by one stupid PIR, empathy statement, or loyalty statement. There are so many good reps that do an excellent job that I have to write up because they miss one little stinking PIR statement. 👿 I think that is a very bad way to judge someone's performance.

Does anyone hate this as much as I do.

Escalation over a balance transfer

Next call, and this is the best, customer calls disputing a balance transfer for a really high amount of money from her Digital account over to her GSM account. I adviced her all charges are valid (and they were 100% correct, reprasentative even advised her of the ETF). She was swearing because that gets them even further and a true sign they are losing the fight.

She ended up asking for a supervisor and I asked why she need to speak to a supervisor. She stated it's her right to speak with one and that when she demands one she should get one. I advice her a supervisor will not take the call unless she gives a valid reason. She kept asking and wouldn't give me a reason.

Ok, I've been reading threads on this website for almost a month now, especially in the Cingular forum. Many things have become apparent.

1st. The "Merger" between Cingular and AT&T has done nothing but create a clusterf#%k in the wireless industry. The idea of the Ma Bell break up was to create competition, to better benefit the customer, giving them multiple choices as to who they want to have service with at an affordable rate with out getting screwed in the process. The AT&T subscribers are totally getting the short end of the stick, while being forced in many markets to migrate to Cingular ( I believe it is referred to in the trade as migrating from Blue to Orange) while getting penalized for being a customer of the company they ...

AT&T/Cingular vs. Verizon

I'm a current Verizon customer and am fairly happy, but really would rather have a GSM phone. The technology seems better for data and cross-company SMS messaging, and I occasionally travel to Europe.

I just bought a v620 GSM (unlocked) for an upcoming trip, and am thinking about switching from Verizon to either AT&T/Cingular or T-Mobile.

Does anyone have any opinions (preferably from personal experience) about coverage areas and service. Verizon has a good network. I'm wondering if I'll lose some coverage in moving away from Verizon.

Also, I'm wondering if AT&T/Cingular and T-Mobile have an agreement to share each other's networks, the way Verizon and Sprint do.

What is a rep to do to sell a customer who has 3450 minutes on a 39.99 plan with att who uses most of those minutes each month? offer him a plan with cingular thats $120.00 more with rollover and mtm. Thats sort of hard to do. Or anyone of our fabulous promo stacking plans of 600 Minutes, Early Evenings, MTM for 29.99, sounds like a fabulous plan to me with a one year contract. One year and they can go anywhere, looks like they shot ourselves in the foot on those ones.

I bought a motorola t721 on ebay, and it came with a usb cable to link it to my computer. Where can I download the software and what software do I get? I just want to copy my phonebook to computer.

as i said before. blueguy, you go off at people (greyrat) for not following blue upgrade procedures. and in the process you release propriety information. your breaching your NDA pretty bad on that one. breaching NDA's is a seroius offence and can result in termination, and even court action. as far as policys are concerned, yes blue upgrades are not to be done, except in extremne circumstances, and require sup or manager auth. and even then not they probally wont happen. its not black and white yet, theres is still some grey...altho i think its tinited slighty orange now. but releasing copy and pasted information about policys and procedures, is propierty and that is very black and white. its NOT to be done, under any circumstance, no matte...

Blue reps... What the crap?

I know not all blue reps are doing this... But i've been dealing with more and more customers telling me that Blue reps told them if they migrated to Cingular that they would face ETF's... In non-divested markets?!?!?!

I mean... what the crap?

I don't get what the drive is for telling customer's this... I don't get what the benefit is from telling customer's this...

i would appreciate the help

First off, i beg forgiveness for my ignorance.
I'm on a shared attws 79.99 plan. I'm looking to upgrade my phone to a camera phone for around a 100. Is this at all possible? I know no new phones from att, but there is no promotion where i could pick up an LG 1150 or samsung e316 at new customer prices? If i were to somehow get a cingular phone, are any new phones coming out between now and mid march?

History is Made (Customers admits to lying to get credit) RANT!!!

Wonders will never cease, i just had a call from a customer.First words out of her mouth was you guys messed up my bill again.Wife calls in about her husbands account.seems they activated service in mar, 2004 with a service shared plan.Now they neversigned the 2 year contract, and end of april, and end of may was sent out 2 reminders, GOD bless the contract servies tool we have to check on these contracts.

Well of course the last reminder states that within 30 days if this contract is not signed and returned they lose their benefits of 2 year contracts.They never get signed and her extra minute promotions comes off, for her market 200 extra minutes with 1 year, 400 for 2 year.So of course she calls in july about her June bill, so they fig...

Is there any att wireless supervisors out there?

I am a att wireless customer and I been with att for a long time and I have a foundation accout with my work. But I was wondering if any supervisor can fix a problem that I am having at this time. I called in to customer care and I was promised a att rate plan which was great I loved it and I was also promised the media works plan that I later found out that it was a cingular plan but the rep told me I was going to get it. I then saw that I didnt receive it so I called in and they said that I can't get it. I was wondering if I can get a att plan that brings the same thing but get credited for the difference so I can get it at the same price of the media works

Staying with ATT as long as I can then bye bye cingular

I called today to make the switch from ATT to cingular. I have a 59.99 dollars family share plan with 2 other phones for 9.99 each. I get 850 min. and 7pm night and weekends. They wanted to charge me 59.99 a month plus 9.99 each additional line for 3 months. Then it goes up to 19.99 each additional line, and I would get only 600 min and lose the 7 pm night and weekends. You would have to be a moron to make a switch like that. I have about 17 months remaining on my ATT contract then I can shop around.
