how many times do I need to explain this?

go phone != rollover minutes. why do so many people assume it comes with rollover minutes. I must have missed that advertisement.

Indirect Agents ?'s

Cool.... Sales Support

OK I hope that at least someone from the Cingular Sales Support Department reads this..... I'd just like to know, do you guys specialize in:
(a) helping people
(b) hanging up on people
(c) being total jerks
(d) or both b&c
I pick (d). I am an At&t customer care and yesterday I had a cust on the phone with a problem with her upgrade purchase.. now she was a Cingular cust and keep in mind I cannot even bring up their accounts. She was already upset because customer care hung up on her and transfered her to stupid places, so she told me that if I transfered her or hung up she was calling back to talk to a sup. Told her I would continue to help her....so I call Cingular cust care, they tell me to call Sales Support....ok... The hold time ...

Call Management

Ever answered a call laughing and the person on the other end is furious and just seems to get more furious when they hear you laughing? Yea i did...he was ok after it though, turned out his car broke down and needed to know how to call for a tow using roadside assistance.

Greetings from the deep freeze in Alberta! *brrrr* Least it's not as bad as last year. minus 40's and 50's! 😳 Anyway, long time rep, first time poster in phone scoop. Any other reps getting a little frustrated by the oh so wonderful renew min?

At the time, it seemed like a great idea. Great way to get people to renew contracts, but now it's coming back to bite us in the arse! People on the local 39.99 with 1050 anytime min, unlimited m2m and n/w starting
at 7 at no addtional cost and are wanting a new phone (free of course), refuse to move to cingular since they can't get a comparable plan!

And I'll bet ya anything that the genius who came up with this new perfectly well that att and cingular were going to merge and that it was...

Need Opinion

I want to get a new phone. Either the mpx220 or the smt 5600. I havent heard to much good about the mxp220. I am also an ATT customer and will be mostly migrate into a Cingular plan. Any suggestions on which phone is the best deal would be helpful. Thanks

Just got Told there's a legal to Force Migrate and keep contracts.

I just talked to a Operations Manager who was talking about the merger that there is a loophole to migrate you over (force) and make you still have you keep your contract.See if you read the Terms of Service and it says that you must be spend the "majority of your usage on the ATT network to be eligible for service". Now even the the company's are owned by one group they are seperate, different plans, promotions, ETf's everthing.

Now speaking to NEST, national eligibility specialist test. that after seeing it (being off network, for the majority of usage, then they see who's network it is, if its cingular's network, then they would have to either migrate to the their network eith the current contract they had on att, or they can be cance...

Caller: I cant receive calls on my phone.
Me: ok, are you sure your volume is all the way up?
Caller: yes.
Me: ok, now what I want you to do is turn the phone on and off three times in a row.

issue with old BLUE customer

Out of the 45 calls i have taken in orange since i logged into the systems, I have had nothing but ignorant people demanding credits because we are taking up their time! If i have to hear "well when i was with ATT Wireless, they gave me 40.00 good customer credits everytime i call in upset with something, why can Cingular give that to me too? You are incompentent!" i think i will scream! 😡

Am i the only one who takes these calls? Am i in the Ignorant Q today?

new rate plan

this is my new rate plan! it will be manadtory for any customer who calls in and complains about billsbeing high due to roaming charges or minutes. heres the breakdown.

FIVE dollars a month! thats right! only FIVE bucks per month! talk about cheap eh? now this plan gets you 30 minutes a month anytime! so no worrying about when night and weekends start! also a good deal. you have no coverage area, no hca, wich means you never have to worry if your "outside your calling area" again! great huh? anyone interested in this plan should act now! its a limited time offer!

Blackberry Unlock Codes 7280/7290

Has it occurred to anyone else that if you want to take your blackberry to another GSM carier that you can't, espically if you purchased it from AT&T Wireless? For around $100+, bongowireless.com will unlock it for you. As it turns out, Cingular will not let you use the AT&T Blackberry, but make you purchase a new one to get Cingular service. This is not right--AT&T will not give out the unlock codes for their phones. What good are they because that company technically doesn't exist anymore and you can't activate a new plan with them. Don't even attempt to call AT&T wireless because you will get the 800 number for the manufacturer, at which point you call the manufacturer and they then explain that they didn't lock them and that the ATT...

Attention All

I've been reading this unlock blackberry forum and I just have one question?
Why do all you guys and gals have to enter into a pissing contest to prove who is right or wrong?(it should be obvious who you r).It really seems like This you could be writing more useful things like how service can be improved,how rep's and customers could get along and how we can make each others day go alot smoother. That seems like a more valid reason to use this forum . I do agree rep's do not have an easy job at times and need a place to vent.Customer sure get the run around as well at time it's not all black and white like some people would like you to think.This is just a thought. Drinking + Being on the phone = Funny

Yeah so I get this customer, slurring words and ever other being a swear. I had to repeat info to her 3 times and on 4 seperate occasions.

Was going through ordering a new phone for her as her old one was lost. The first 10 mins. of the call was her complaining about how our company is not giving her the best deal and that she would rather pay the ETF and go with someone else.

Her husband was in the backgroud advising her to at least try it and she kept telling me that she is giving our company one more chance to keep her business.

The highlight of the call was trying to verify the Credit card info as she was relaying the info her husband was reading off and she kept getting it wrong. he would read 4 #'s at a time and then she woul...

'ello, there. I've actually been planning to post this for a few days now, although it appears one of my colleagues has at least partially beaten me to the punch, but anyway, I'll continue anyway. and yes, I am b****ing through the whole post, so please feel free to ignore me.

Basically, I am here to BEG business end user care reps to either learn to do warranty exchange right or to stop doing it. now, I know that some, possibly many BEUC reps are doing it right, but I also know there are a dang lot that are royally screwing it up. I have to clean up a whole lot of those messes every single day.

The End of Billing Cycle Policy:Lnp port outs.

I can understand this policy for any other cancellation because the phone is still operable to EOBC. Although,lnp port outs i find very unfair becuase customers do not get a chance to use the phone for the rest of the billing cycle period. Honestly this policy is garbage. Anyone who begs to differ is just ignorant.
