What the crap is an entry level phone?

Is it a phone for someone to learn how to use a cell phone with?

How is it different from a 'professional' phone and what are the professional phones?

How do I know when I should no longer use an entry level phone?

We Agent Blues dont quite yet know how you Agent Oranges have showed appreciation to longtime customers yet, but here on the Blue side we realized something today: We genuinely feel bad for you when our spoiled Blue customers come into an Orange location.

We have had countless Blue customers already ask where the "bonus" minutes are, where the extra equip credits are, where the free 7pm N&W are, why we cant bill the equip & accs. to their accounts, why we cant provide the upgrade discount after 6,9, or 12 months, etc etc etc etc etc.

We Blues truly apologize for these chicken heads who will continue to cluck, scratch, and flap for a manager when you/we are sticking to the policies given to us....

if you sign a contract with cingular for a 2 years, how long do you ahve to wait until you can get another phone with the same plan...or another phone if you renew your plan?

😲 What is this with the rebates!

Instead of giving one a good deal, Orange starts offfering rebates, (delayed savings).

I think that is ba business from Cingular and any other company, but in the case of Cingulare after a "take over"
it is worse.

They should be offering deals as the old AT&T did to make
it easier for one to get service and in the case of browsing,
easier to get online.

Also there is the matter of Blue customers who qant or may have to migrate in the future, they should make the migrate easier and do away with this rebate stuff and give the savings up front!

The reason for the rebates is to show the banks, the media and customers cash flow and to make a little on the interest.

I have a question or two...

1) EXACTLY how long can you stay on an At&t contract until you are "forced" to migrate over to a Cingular plan?

2) If you don't want to migrate over to Cingular do you have a right to terminate your contract and not have to pay the ETF? (Of course I know you have to pay whatever air time charges remain)

Well first of all I'm an ATTW coustomer and I have been waiting for a certain phone paitently which is the v551 and all of a sudden I hear only cingular carries that phone, even if I buy the phone from cingular and put attw service in it, it still won't work, now since cingular and ATTW has join forces, will ATTW stores or whatever you call it, will they carry phones that cingular has, I think cingular has better phones and ATTW has better service, b ut I'm just curious because most phones that ATTW has is also in cingular and only like 2 phones from cingular is with ATT.

I was just about to get a new phone from att(renew contract), but how will that work now?

Give me a list of all the deposits that are possible and maybe a brief caption of the reason for each. (Every day so far I've come across a couple different new amounts and want to know a good way to explain the reasons for a specific amount without offending the cust.)

Hi. I just got signed up for AT&T on the 14th and later found this site with info saying that the AT&T phones doent support the cross-tower selection (ENS). So I'm going to cancel and get signed up with Cingular. I have a couple questions.

Q1:Am I better off migrating to Cingular or cancelling and then signing new?
I'm guessing I would get to keep the phone and sell it on ebay or something, although I'm not sure if the rebates would be valid after a migration.

Q2:If I cancel instead of migrate, what happens with the phone? If i don't return it to the store that I bought it from, does AT&T send me a bill for some crazy amount?

I just activated today with AT&T wireless from Verizon. I wanted to get in before the 15th because to be honest I don't think the prices for cingular are any better than what I could get with AT&T. I realize that if/when I do migrate to the cingular plan I will have to buy new equipment, but that's down the road aways anyway.

Here's a few questions maybe someone can help me out:

1) How do I set up my voicemail, check it, etc?

2) I have the Nokia 3120 I want to put a custom wallpaper on it how do I do it. I need the picture to be 128x128 and less than 4096 colors right. So I can take a picture I have crop it to the size I need and reduce the image quality to less than 4096 colors then how do I get it to my phone? Is it possible?...

just today on attws's redesigned site, i saw mention of national tdma share plan? this seems new, but i could find no coverage map for it? am i halucinating, or can i have this?

I have been a Verizon Wireless customer and am used to taking my phone to Verizon Wireless to flash the phones for software upgrades as they become available. I have been speaking with the tech support for both ATTWS ans Cingular if they have the same capabilities and was advised they do not. If I switch to ATTWS/Cingular, how would I update my software version if they do not do it? Is this something I can flash from my own computer if I have a data connectivity kit? If so, how can I get the firmware/software to do so?

Has anyone noticed any change in reception
since joining with ATT. I now use Verzion.
Also, I live in New York City area....

So I went into a Cingular store tonight to see if they had the new brochures for Day one. I wanted to see if the regional plans had changed in anyway. Well the lady didn't know where they would be. Also she told me Cingular doesn't offer local/regional plans and only offer Nation plans. I thought she was lying since on Cingulars website they have regional plans. I come home and go to,

, and see if its been updated. Well whenever they talk about plans on there, they just mention Nation plans. I thought this was a little odd. Can anyone tell me whats up?

I went to look at rate plans and was asked to come back later, "under construction" and it was the same when I went to view details of phones listed.
