ANOTHER HO-HUM DAY....

Systems are slow, cant migrate, cant check order status, blue departments are clueless, orange departments are giving me the runaround...are we high on retard pills again today?

What Are SST Reps

Please forgive me🀭 , as I did post this in another thread & it is the best way I can explain what they are about.


In a nutshell... Temp agencies have unleashed their minions out on Cingular (formerly ATTWS) with minimal training. The minions don't know what they are doing most of the time. They cant remember what your question was so they have to write it down. They don't know how to explain bills & they definitely do not know how to properly handle customers. They promise to give you the moon & when it is time to deliver... its a bottomless pit of empty promises.

Does this pretty much sum it up? I don't think so 😑... What are your thoughts?

RIM Blackberrys, Are they Locked?

If i get a RIM that was used on ATTWS can I use it right out the box with my Cingular Sim or do I have to get it unlocked?

Whats up with Orange?

Anyone else getting attitude from our supposed teammates on the Orange side? Man they don't like talking to us. I have had 2 out of 30 that were nice.

And the Tiger team man are they helpful!!

What is with SUPs?

Any other reps ever notice the SUPs are more willing you give a credit then to back the rep on a valid charge? I find more and more sups folding under the 'preasure' and giving credits when the charges are valid charges.

UNWILLING TO LET GO OF TDMA PHONES

This woman just called in upset because she felt that she was being screwed on her rate plan. She felt as though it was our job to call her to let her know that there were better plans available...but thats another story...anyway, so I explain to her the gsm nation plans. She's on the DOR 79.99 getting 650 minutes, and I tell her that she can get on the Nation 1250 and get a lot more for her money, or go down to 49.99 for 600 minutes. She asks if she has to change phones, and I say yes but tell her about the free phones she eligible for. She immediately gets upset because she doesnt want to change her phone. I let her know that the phone is totally F-R-E-E but she refuses to let go of her Panasonic EB TX320. Then she gets mad because she can...

some customers piss me off....this one was just FUNNY

some people really get on my nerves....this lady i had today tho was just hilaroius tho. heres how it goes.

lady: i want this free phone you say i can have

me: what free phone is it

lady: the one in your flyer

me: you have a business account. thats for single customers.

lady: im not a business

me: you dont know any one who works for 'business x'?

lady: nope. not at all. i have no clue why my account is business.. give me that phone!

me: well. that sounds good..so what ill do here is debit back the 50.00$$ discount youve been recieving the last 6 months... so your lookin at a 300.00 debit...then i can take you off business account status and send you your nokia 3560. ok?

I posted a petition message in the phonescoop.com forum pleaing to let Cain back in.

I would people to reply to that post agreeing that Cain should be let back in.

If we maybe get enough people agreeing to this maybe he would be let back in.

I love AT&T I've been with them for over 8 years do you think cingular is going to change anything.

I am a loyal AT&T costumer I've been with them since 1996 and they have always given me the best offers ever since I've joined. They have always been happy to give me promotions when ever I asked and they always gave me great deals on phones. Also if there was any mixup on my bill I would call in and they would be happy to give me the credit. What I'm trying to say is that do you think Cingular is going to change the way At&T treated and viewed their costumers hopefully not. Whats your take on the subject.

Digital Phone outages...

As for an e-mail i received we are no longer to offer phone upgrades to customers out of contract on the DIGITAL (TDMA) side. The phones we have left are for in contract customers only. Stock of these phones should be depleted in 3-6 months. Out of contract customers have only 2 choices and that is to MIGRATE to the GSM Cingular, or end service.

Wireless Directory

I have been asked maybe twice in the last four months about if there will ever be a wireless phone number directory. Today I have recieved 3 calls stating that it was reported on the news. As far as I was told in training this violates AT&T Privacy Policy. Does anyone kmow where this is coming from?

Issues with local numbers

I seem to have encountered an issue when signing up ATTWS business account for 3 lines. I asked for local Freehold, NJ numbers, which ATTWS had. I did not get that exchange and was given Belmar, NJ. It came up as available numbers in the system for GSM, though when the CSR tried to assign them to me it was not available. It turns out that ATTWS released all their Freehold, NJ numbers to Cingular. Is there anything I can do with ATTWS to have them possibly assign 3 local numbers for me?

Service question from a mear mortal

I realize you guys are probably answering these questions over and over, and if my lazy ass would just keep searching I would find an answer. So first let me say thank you for your help.

Now for my question: When I switched to ATT in October, I was told my old T616 would not work with an ATT sim and I would have to buy 2 new phones (signing up for family plan). So I purchased two T637 phones. When I got home, I put my new sim in my old T616, and it work perfectly. Now, I contacted cingular, not to upgrade anything, but to get new sims so that Cingular would be my primary network, and I was again told no that I would have to buy TWO new phones. Has anyone actually tried putting a cingualr sim in the ATT phones and testing them? Or is this ...

Moto. RAZR for FREE!

This guy was a trip. He truly insisted on getting the RAZR for FREE bc he's been with Cingular for 18 years, no exaggerations.

Now, I know that Cingular was previously BellSouth Mobility, but what was before that?? Does it really go back that far??

I was amazed.

just a thought....

hey...just wondering since we have a wide range of posters here...reps, customers and so on...i had an sst rep ask me for my critical info.. (call center location full id etc..) reason being, "i know this customer will ask me that so can i get that info from you to tell her." ooooook....
1: NO
2:we have policys to follow...
3: NO
and 4:....no
THEN he escalates! and asks for my supervisor! wtf is THAT all about? like nothing against sst...but i mean that just makes me want to hang up when i see the number on my call id. and to top it off, when he hangs up before the sup can take the "call" he files a coaching report, because aparently i was "rude to him"

Customer Care Reps - Different Clueless Layers?

I do have a question.. am I really dealing with AT&T employees when I call in? I'm aware of Convergys, but even Convergys reps are pretty well trained. The reps I keep getting have to write down my questions, put you on hold, and ask someone. A few months ago, I asked to update my IMEI number...the guy was like, "so you want us to give you a new EIMI number?" Today, I got my new MPX220 and wanted the mMode and MMS settings and it took me 2 reps to get someone who new what I was talking about. The rep I finally got was like, "speak slow so I can write this down and ask someone.." I asked him if he knew what mMode or MMS was and he couldn't answer me, he had to ask someone. Then he said he'd transfer me to customer care. I thought that was who...
