Upgrade Processing Fee not disclosed...

I know it is only $15, but it bothers me when companies do not mention ANYWHERE in their website or sales material about an upgrade processing fee. When you upgrade your current phone this fee appears on your bill. πŸ˜•

Again, I know it is not a lot of money. But when you are quoted a certain price to upgrade your phone, you shouldn't receive hidden charges, especially from a reputable company.

If anyone else out there is bothered by this surprise fee on their bill please contact me. I would like to discuss your experience. I'll prepare a letter to AT&T on behalf of those who feel this is a dishonest practice that needs to be changed. I will include your name or keep it anonymous.

Look forward to hearing from you,

Daniel

AT&T customer's question about Cingular's night min..

Sorry about that long title..

Anyway, right now, i am currently an ATT subscriber, and am pretty happy. However, one of the reasons i signed up, was because of the 7:00 nights offered for certain plans; seeing that i call somebody in FL every night (im in NM), its nice not having to wait till 11 thier time to make a call.

Now, i had been considering switching to Cing, but from what i can tell, there are no 7:00 nights offered. "Night & Weekend Minutes are Monday through Friday 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. and all day Saturday and Sunday." Could anybody here tell me if i am truly SOL, or just wait for a promotion to come along? In reality, i wont switch now if i cant get the same ATT deal, but i know there will be a time when i am forced t...

gprs and mms settings for the moto v620

can anyone post the GPRS and MMS settings for this phone on Cingular?

I have searched this and a few other forums and found nothing. I am sure it's out there somewhere but so far no luck.

Yes, I could call Cingular but they typically don't have anything for phones not yet released. I often get the not sure let's try another model response which I understand why it's given but can be haphazard.

thanks much in advance! πŸ˜‰

AT&T / Cingular Combined Footprint - Wider or Same?

I am a long time customer of a competing service provider. I have been happy with the coverage they provide in my primary usage area (Northeast) and coverage in other locations around the Americas.

However, I'm not happy with their customer service nor their phone offerings - not to mention their heavily restricted introduction of new technologies.

I'm investigating alternatives. I was a customer of AT&T many years ago and was not very happy with their coverage or their overloaded TDMA network. I am continue to be interested in a very wide area of coverage, especially the Northeast. I would also like to be able to carry the same phone when I travel overseas rather then having a CDMA phone locally and a GSM phone when in Europe.

ATT towers on a cingular phone?

I live in Lousiana. Before leaving for vacation to NJ, i stopped by a Company owned store to make sure that v400 would work in New Jersey where i was going. They told me that Cingular didn't have service there, but ATT did. I have a 32k sim card, not a 64k, but they told me it didn't matter, my phone would work because the v400 works on 1800mhz, and thats what ATT uses in NJ.

Well, i dont have service. How do i get my v400 to start picking up ATT towers?

Thanks!

Trapped by promotions!

I am so frustrated. I've spent hours on the phone with ATT over the last week trying to figure out what my options are.
Last summer I ran out of minutes and when I called in to figure out how to deal with this a really great rep from ATT added several promotions to my plan which upped my minutes to 850. Great!
Now I am needing more minutes, my business is taking off and I want to upgrade to a different plan. I have been trying to decide what to do, because I need a new phone too. I have the Moto T720 and am on my 4th phone. A week ago when I was on the phone with someone from warranty exchange the person I was talking to said she could upgrade my plan and get me a discount on a phone and I could keep my promotions.
I had just gotten the r...

alpha tags and contracts.

im in the richmond va area with and with suncom. My contract with them expired along time ago, and just go month to month and can cancel whenever. So does that mean that when Cingular takes over fully, Ill have to get a 1 or 2 year contract? sorry if im repeating myself, but the suncom and at&t websites offer only "PR" type info and no real answers.

also wondering when my cell phone will say cingular on the screen. My roommates nokia has a at&t startup screen. im sure that will be a collectible in a couple years.

UPGRADE??? !!

πŸ‘Ώ I'ts getting to me, calling a migration an upgrade!

First let me say I feel Cingular is a better option than Verizon
and it goes without saying Sprint service in the area of costs.

How can Cingular call a change from Blue to Orange an upgrade and keep a straight face?

I went into I guess what would be called a Kiosx(sp) and they have two different types of plans, one icludes txt messages, MMS and the other a better deal on nights and weekends, plans that are not listed on the web site.

While going to an appointment yesterday I stopped by a Best Buy store to pass time and looked at the plans there,
I also checked out the phones.
The plans were the same but there was no offer on the phones, not even a rebate, the sales ...

"Hey, are you guys hiring?"

You know, it dawned on me today.

Listening to all these outsiders complain & whine about phone pricing, plans, free phones, getting ripped off, "phones should work perfect everywhere", "the company's out to get me", etc. etc. etc, reminded me of a certain type:

They are the ones that walk into your store all straggly with no resume or presentation skills and say, "Hey, are you guys hiring?"

Aren't they such Comic Relief?

Veteran ATT reps

Greetings all. I left my indirect Cingular store, 3 weeks ago, and I start tommorrow at an ATT wireless corporate (which has been converted) store tomorrow (Mesquite Texas). Since I am already proficient at the Cingular side of the buisness, are there any words of wisdom that any of you would like to share?

How long so you have to be employed with ATT wireless before you can get an official use line? I still have my Cingular agent line. Your employee lines is unlimited everything, correct? Also, I have a fiancee and do family members also get the unlimited plan, too?

Thanks for the input. I am ready to get back into the game.

COFR Then Migration To A New Cingular Rate Plan

Just a question for other blue reps, I work in the only 2g cofr department attws has. We were told if a customer does a cofr they will have to wait 30 days before they can migrate to a new cingular rate plan. Is this true? We are getting more and more calls from customers that have went to a direct store and been told to do a cofr and come back the next day and they can migrate. Today we were told that we should not be informing customer of the 30 day waiting period. Some input would be on this would be great. Thanks 😁

Att plans - For how long can I order them?

Hi,
I am thinking about getting services from Att. Att is more attractive to me since they offer a North American package that makes calling from and to Canada part of the national coverage.

At the moment, I believe I am still able to order Att service plan... but for how long? How long will the www.attwireless.com website and pricing plan survive the merger with cingular? - The truth is that Cingular plans are not really what I am looking for, so should I lock myself with an Att contract before its too late?

Thanks

Cancel Your AT&T service with NO early termination fee!

Did you know that in the terms & conditions of your AT&T Wireless service agreement, it states that you can cancel service with no early termination fee if there are major changes to the service? A little secret……the Cingular merger falls into this condition. Just call customer care and mention that your agreement legally entitles you to do this! πŸ™‚
