Charter Plan Part 2

I feel really bad for starting a mess for asking a simple question. Gezz, it is almost bad as the Verizon forum! Thank you all for the replies as now I have a "clear" understanding of this plan.

So when's the best time?

Alright so Cingular will take AT&T over. When do you think would be the best time to get a new AT&T plan. Because I do like some of their features with their plans that Cingular just doesn't offer. Would it be at the end of October, sence the thing with the FCC, or would they still be around a few months after that? Just hearing a lot of stuff thats differen't and not really positive. Hope someone can help me out. Thanks

WHAT'S THE BUZZ?????

In our call center, the buzz is that something is expected to go down on October 15th. Supposedly, the call center manager seems to think that Friday is the day. With today's news that a majority of the FCC has given preliminary approval and the fact that the FCC meets tomorrow, maybe Friday IS the day???

DISCLAIMER: THIS IS ALL PURE SPECULATION AND MEANT FOR DISCUSSION PURPOSES ONLY. I REALIZE THAT ANYTHING COULD HAPPEN AT ANY TIME. (and no, I'm not yelling, just trying to make it stand out)

With all that said, is anyone else hearing anything from their supervisors and/or managers???

FCC Majority OKs Cingular-AT&T Wireless
Wednesday October 13, 5:18 pm ET
By Jeremy Pelofsky

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A majority of the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (News - Websites) has voted to conditionally approve Cingular Wireless' proposed acquisition of AT&T Wireless Services Inc. (NYSE:AWE - News), a source familiar with the matter said on Wednesday.

Three of the five FCC commissioners have voted to back the deal with certain divestitures likely in up to two dozen markets, said the source, who declined to be identified because the voting had not been completed.

The three Republicans have backed the deal -- Chairman Michael Powell and Com...

Plan variance

Lately I have been considering switching over to the GSM service from TDMA. I read on this forum and others about what kind of rate plans people are getting however when I call I get completely different stories. My contract has been up for awhile now so its not like I am locked in.

I have a premier account from work, a pretty weak one at that. The website states like 450 for nat and 500 for local 9 pm nights $20 extra to share for $39 plan. A CS rep told me today that the deal was 400 local or national for $39 and if i wanted to share that it was the same price? Nothing ever seems to match.
It seems quite common for people to be getting +650 mins, early nights, $9 add a line.

Does location matter for what CS reps can give you? Beca...

Two Questions...

1. What is the phone all the way on the left, on the welcome back page under the "want a new phone"?

2. If I got an old startac off of ebay, how would I go about setting up service for AT&T, if it is even possible?

thanks

AT&T OGO not well received

Link and article:

http://www.business2.com/b2/web/articles/0,17863,703 ... »

Investors in cellular wireless have seen some unfamiliar blips across their radar screens in the last few days: positive news from AT&T Wireless (AWE), the industry's red-headed stepchild. Moving toward its acquisition by Cingular for $15 a share, the company has launched a new product, the Ogo. The device is a big departure for AT&T Wireless: It's the first one the company has "conceived, designed, and launched" on its own, according to a spokesperson.

Can investors expect any "trickle-up" benefit to Cingular's parent companies SBC (SBC) and BellSouth (BLS)? Not likely. The Ogo probably won't add much revenue to ATT Wireless's coffers and in fact may...

Upgrading, next phone we will see?

I'm looking to upgrade from my Sony Ericsson T637 and was looking at the models that might be coming soon. Certainly an upgrade would have to include video recording, which looks to become a more common camera feature in the near future.

It's always better when you can go in the store and check out the phone yourself. Any suggestions as to what phone we might see released next?

ADJUSTMENT ADVISOR INS AND OUTS

for the sake of the gentleman who feels that the adjustment advisor must not be spoken about around common folk, here is everything you ever wanted to know about it....

it has a maximum goodwill amount which is base on tenure with the company, how much you pay per month, etc. this amount can be given to the cust at the reps discresion, although anything over $25 requires a new 1 year contract

it also has a Projected Zero Profit Point which is at the disposal of resolutions and supervisor, this is the amount that if we gave it to the cust we wouldn't make any money, i don't believe that, but thats what they say.

it also has the cust name, tenure with company, how many care call escalations they've had (which effects goodwill, if you...

WANNA HEAR A FUNNY A** STORY?!?

🤣 One of my fellow employees received a baloon filled with helium as a prize for initiating a PIR(positive initial response) while being monitored by the quality control team.

Buddy for a joke sucks back all the helium just as he was about to take a call; ** thank you for holding this is ____ how can I help you **,

BEHOLD: the director of the whole call center and his man higher up who was visiting saw the whole thing. The director walks right in front of the guy and points: "your fired"
