What every AT&T Wireless customer needs to read.

You've seen the slogans. You've seen the commercials. You know, the ones where everybody is smiling because they always have crystal clear reception and their cell phones work everywhere on the face of the planet. Not to mention that by having a cell phone, these peoples lives are so greatly enriched now.
WRONG!!

Bottom line is, AT&T Wireless is a corporation. The higher ups and CEO's DO NOT know your name or who you are. But more importantly, they do not care. You are profit to them. Plain and simple.

Us customer service reps are both similar and not to the just mentioned higher ups. We do not know who you are, and most of us do not really care, but we ARE at least going to try to help you. Sometimes we cannot do what YOU wa...

weird calls.....

So, the other day I get a call, which is my last one of the night, and I answer it like I do all the rest. "Thank you for holding....." The person on the other line says to me "Hi. I need a man" Well, I didn't know what to say so I said "Pardon me?" She says "Stephanie, I need a man." So, I said that we were not able to transfer to a specific gender" The woman on the phone says "Well, I need a man." I asked if I would be able to help her and she said "No. I need a man and I'm gonna call back until I get one." And hung up.

You think that's weird??? Just wait.

Well, the next day on my last call was that exact same woman! She said that exact same things to me and then hung up when I told her that I couldn't put a man on the phone.

Save/Cancellation calls..

I work for ATTWS Save Team and I just thought I would let all the CC reps know that if a cust orders online, at a store, through an indirect dealer, anywhere EXCEPT DMDR..we do not cancel them, we send them right back to CC. Please look at the POS for these custs. If it says anything except Direct Marketing/Direct Response in Siebel or ATTWS Owned Stores with a sales reps name in the service detail window in Axys..its not someone we can cancel. If it is a vendor, give them the number to that vendor to call..if its web, CC cancels these..same as store purchases. Just wanted to let everyone know, it is really irritating to take 50 calls a day and 45 of them be misdirects from care..and then custs complain when we are in queue for over an h...

So last night at the Pistons game instead of getting no service like my buddy (verizon phone), my phone picked up Cingular... first time EVER i saw that happen... strange to see it...

MAC? iSync? HELP. -- Looking for a reason to stay with AT&T

I'm out of contract. Finally. What should I do? Where should I go? All this freedom is making me a little loopy and unstable. 😳

First I'm a Mac user. I use iSync. I love iSync. I need iSync. Most recently I used a Nokia 6820. It wasn't iSync compatible (Nokia's Fault, not AT&T's I realize.)

BUT

Barring going with the Sony Ericsson t616 I don't see a great iSync compatible phone.

I'm a heavy user, don't have a home phone any more.

Anyone know if the TREO is worth the money?

Ive got one great story to tell, and hopefully this'll get to be a new thing, because its nice to hear I'm not the only one getting these calls,
I'm with at&t warranty exchange dept., what little left in this country anyway, and my last call today, was a cust who called and first thing started screaming at me because "he thought" I had made his daughter cry. (Like I'm the only person in my dept.). So after listening to him a few minutes I realize this guy just isn't going to quit, so I interrupt and try to get down to business, the entire way this guy yelling and screaming trying to get me to hurry up cause he was on hold for 5 hours(riiiggghht). After i get to the part where I tell him his warranty options, he cuts me off and says I want a...

blocking mmode access

people have been telling me you cannnot block access to mmode, but ,in the browser settings if you put all 0s in the ip address, and put nothing in the homepage, wont it give you an error message when you press mmode/try to access, i got conflicting info saing this will/wont work, basically will deny you acess to content, but will use a small ammnt of data if it trys to connect,will this werk ? is that the reasoning behind the free 5kb when you dont have a data plan?

sim card question?

i have the t 616, and it is the first phone that i have had with multiple numbers for each name. can i copy them to my sim card that way.instead of having three names for three numbers like mom, mom cell, and moms work?

customer story

OK this has been a weird day for calls in NAS the majority of my calls have started with me answering the phone and the customer saying they want to activate their new phone. The first thing I ask is do you have a wireless number, the answer all day has been yes. The next question is can you make and receive calls, all day long the answer has been yes. My next response, "WHY ARE YOU CALLING ME THEN?" if you can make and receive calls isn't it common sense that your phone is already active?

Warranty Exchange

Am I the only one who's fed up with being told by the customer that we owe them a new phone whenever thir's breaks. It's just stupid, we are the wireless service provider, if your TV breaks you dont call your cable company to get them to give you a replacement, you either call Sony or whoever makes your TV if you have a warranty or you get off your ass and drive to Cheap-O-Joe's TV repair shop and pay to have it fixed. It's the same for your cell phone. Call Nokia, call Motorola, they make the stupid thing, all AT&T did was sell it to you, and by the way, read your T&C's of service.
