I'm a long-time AT&T Wireless subscriber who's been holding off on going to the latest phone generation until I could find a phone that can replace my HP iPAQ 5455 without sacrificing funtionality, memory, etc.

Should I consider the Motorola MPx200...or any other Windows Mobile phone/PDA?

I may have the first AT&T Wireless V600 casualty 👿 I just got my phone yesterday. It worked great last night. But today, when I left my Condo, I couldn't make any calls. The minute I got out the door, the phone went into emergency use only mode. Luckily they I had my old V60 from Verizon, so I called ATT customer care. The lady told me that it hadn't been 24 hours since my activation...so I'd have to wait until after 5pm to see what the problem was. So after five I went for a drive and made a few calls. The first ones were fine...but after that all my calls failed. I got a full signal strength bar...but no gprs packet symbol. I then turned the power off and turned it back on. Still nothing. I purchased my phone and service from AT&T over the phone. If I decide to cancel my service within the first 30 days, would I be able to return my phone to an AT&T direct dealer or would I have to return my phone by mail? If mail is my only choice, what is the kickback on getting my money refunded to my credit card? Thanks in advance for any help.

I have question for everyone. I am thinking about getting a "A56I' GoPhone for a back up phone. I don't need to have a contract, has anyone ever used this phone any success? Is it better than the TracPhone service out there?
At the moment I have a CDMA phone, so I'm thinking by having a GSM/GPRS phone I'll always beable to get a signal one way or another.
If anyone has any info on GoPhone pros and cons I'd loke to hear it. (Remember would be my back-up phone.)

While working for Circuit I had an AWS employee GSM plan.

When I got laid off I switched my employee plan to a GSM nationwide plan. I asked three times to see if I was under a contract. Each time the answer was no.

This past august I went to Texas for 2 weeks. I took my wireless phone cause it was a nation wide coverage plan! It was one awesome drive.. All the way from the New England area to Texas and back home through the southern states.

At no time did my phone ever indicate roaming or anything else other than AT&T Wireless digital service. Woot!

I get home to a $282 phone bill. Apparently the customer care rep DID NOT put me on the nationwide plan. Not only that but I ...

For those of you who have accounts thru NBO or are AT&T employees, I was wondering if Goverment employees (ie Postal employee or law enforcement) would go thru NBO to receive their discounts or would it be possible to just go to an AT&T store and receive the discounts there? Any help is greatly appreciated.
