In an aquire market and looking forward

We are in an acquired market and looking forward to re-branding as ATT.... but we do not know how long that may take. I am in the renovation process at our new, 11th store, location and have to make decisions on paint... I am guessing there are specific colors for the wall and such. We have no guidance from our current carrier with regard to this type of stuff... most of the people who could help are becoming VZW employees and do not have resources to assist us. Can anyone tell me the what the blue and orange color codes might be? It would be a great help.

Thanks

Upcoming Phones...

Any idea whats coming in the next 60 days??

I still need a new phone and really don't love anything available from ATT right now...I could live with a tilt or a curve but I'd be pissed if I got either one and something just right showed up soon after.

Which brings me to my second questions...which has a better re-sale value? Just in case that perfect phone becomes available...

thanks

Z9/shine question

I am interested in the Z9 & the Shine. My concern is how difficult is texting on these phones. I played with the shine and it seems fairly ez. My concern with the z9 is how to skip to the next word w/ out using the center button that is right below the screen all the way up. I have a V3xx now and I text super fast on it. Any info/advice. Also which phone do you think is better. I know the Z9 is more feature packed, but overall in your opinon how do they stack up?

Thanks!

Are people nicer on the at&t thread???

So I have been on the verizon thread for a week and the people are so rude. Why do they get so upset when you don't agree with them? How sweet is the new iphone going to be?

COR REPS

i been thinking about this and i am kinda annoyed at att because they don't pay the reps that know more things better than they pay the reps that are coming off the streets with NO knowledge

what is your hourly wage is my question
starting and present wage in dollars

how long have u neen with att/cingular

and are u paid what your worth

are u union ?

start was $9.50 in July 06
presetn is $9.88 in May 08

been here just about 2 years

and i have over 3 years experience before i even got here
everyone comes to me with questions and i offer my help to everyone even the DM sends customers to me
so i am easily a $11.50 an hour employee due to my knowledge and constant studying of the services and new things coming out...

Independant review

To all the people who have their preconceived notions that AT&T's 3G is sub-par, i came across this COMPLETELY INDEPENDENT review of the "3 big" 3G networks. I do admit YMMV, but i just figured i'd share... 😎

Pandora?

We're currently with Sprint, but our contract is up so we're shopping. It used to be, Pandora was exclusive with Sprint...but we were in an AT&T store a couple of weeks ago looking at phones and one of them had Pandora loaded on it. The rep in the store had never heard of Pandora, and had no idea how much the monthly fee is. Can anyone help? My dh loves the Pandora on his Sprint phone...

Glad I am not a Sprint Dealer

I really feel for Sprint. I have some counterparts that wotk for them. Very good guys.

I am happy knowing I can go to bed at night not having to worry my carrier may drop me in an instant. Well, at&t could drop me I guess, not because of my numbers....or their lack of growth.

Number portability is 20% of my gross ads monthly. 60 percent of those are Sprint ports. The demise of one carrier......

sales rep.. sell aircard now with confidence. att aircard rated the best among others.

The folks over at Computerworld just ran the current 3G providers in America through their paces, only to discover that AT&T came out on top in almost every category. Well, it appears the monolithic telco plans to keep its edge (er...) on the competition -- by upping its HSPA service to a whopping 20Mbps come 2009. Our main man Ralph de la Vega said that the process wouldn't require a major overhaul to the provider's infrastructure, and that it's already in the process of punching up the 3.6Mbps speeds to 7.2Mbps "in the labs." Apparently, this won't stall plans for forthcoming 4G / 700MHz / LTE service from the company -- it'll just be icing on the cake.

Regular Keypad Smartphone... anyone?

Why do we no longer offer a regular keypad smartphone? Is there anyone else that likes them, besides me? I think the last good one that we offered was the 2125. I really enjoyed that phone. I also had the updated MPX220, which was solid. For some reason, I prefer the regular keypad with T9 over the qwerty.

Any thoughts?

At&t sales reps

I'm not here to troll, I'm just curious.

I know the iPhone sells itself most of the time, but how do you sell it to people that need MMS?

What do you guys/gals do or say to get the sale? For example, I have to have picture messaging. How would you sell me the iPhone? Would you recommend something else? Tell me to wait until iPhone 2?

I find myself not being able to live without MMS but I respect the iPhone. My brother has one, and it's too bad that all the things that he did to it to make it SUPER COOL also violates any sort of warranty. lol 😉

Anyways, thanks for humoring me.

Cheaper PDA plan

My wife is getting an Iphone and I was thinking about getting a smartphone during our upgrade.

I have been looking at the PDA data plans and they are all at 30 bucks or 35 bucks.

Has anyone gotten a cheaper rate by calling and complaining? How low have you gotten?

thanks

For all RSCs/SSRs out there...

I had a rep in my store today tell another rep that we can't give cash refunds in store if it is over 30 dollars. I have NEVER heard such bs in my life and I was quick to jump on it, but the rep just ignored me and pretended I was just going crazy even though I am always right with everything.

I even checked the standard op procedures on CSP and there was nothing on there about that.

Has anyone EVER heard anything like this? Please, I know about procedures with checks and the like, and waiting 10 days and shorting the deposit when you refund something more than what you have in your drawer, but has anyone else heard this?

What would you change to the phone lineup?

I have a question for everyone. More geared towards the reps, but everyone is welcome.

What would you change about the current phone lineup?

My suggestions:
1. Get rid of the Nokia 2610 and replace it with a little bit bigger phone that doesn't have a mirror screen.
2. Stop carrying 4 or 5 colors of the phones. If you want different colors, make it no more than 2 max. Sell phones that have easily replaceable shells if you really need to have every color in the rainbow.
3. Don't launch new devices unless the accessories are ready. It's stupid to not have a case for a phone a month after it launches. A little organization between departments can go a long way.
4. A jitterbug type device could be used for seniors and little ...
