AT&T "Wired" Question

Okay, don't know if anyone in here is familiar at all with AT&T land-line services and how they work, but thought I might ask anyway.

I have preferred call forwarding with remote access feature, along with two different phone numbers on my account and single line that are differentiated by the type of incoming ring. When forwarding my calls, even when I select the number I wish to forward, it still forwarded both numbers. I use one number for a fax machine, so I would prefer that calls going to that number still arrive at my house while my regular home phone number is forwarded to my cell.

Is it even possible to do this? I tried using both 72# from the house as well as the remote access from my cell, and neither way will split the inco...

can you...?

explain an exception upgrade? I did one last year in July and I am not certain what it is. I am assuming it is purchasing a phone at a one year price with a contract renewal. My question is can you perform another exception upgrade within a year of performing the first one? What is the difference in pricing between a normal upgrade and exception? I know it depends upon the phone but lets say for example a tilt. thanks in advance.

Nokia N95 and AT&T

I am supposed to get my N95 on Monday from a 3rd party retailer for AT&T. How well is the N95 ? Any conflict problems you are experiencing with it.

Does AT&T charge an upgrade fee?

We were talking about this in my store today, but nobody had a definitive answer. Does AT&T charge a standard fee when its customers upgrade? I'm not trying to start a flame war between fanboys, just want a yes or no answer...

Mistake

So I went over to Verizon for a couple of months. That was the biggest mistake that I could have made from leaving good ol' blue. Well I decided to port back since i now realized what a mistake that I have done. Verizon quoted me one price for a bill and it was 20 dollars or so higher than what was quoted. Also all of my friends keep telling me that they are sending me text messages and calling me when I do not get a word of it. Sorry just thought that I would share my thoughts with everyone. 😁

Testimonial

I got coverage about 15 miles out to sea off the coast of Southern Washington. Pretty awesome. I was using a Blackberry 8310. I did complete a call and had EDGE service.

communication error. (20) Cingular

Think I figured out how to fix the communication error (20) message that I have received occassionally on my Cingular Razr phone when I try to check my emails.

Called tech support after a week of this ongoing problem and replacing my phone yesterday and it still did not work. They tried to tell me it was an open repair ticket on there end..... (wrong).

Call tech support at 800-331-0500. Will likely have to go to second tier service tech person.

Here is what he did:
1. Used 'open wave software' to look into MediaNet. (He said MediaNet is where the problem is)

2. He purged the open wave software as a last resort. (He said that only tech support over the phone can do it as a last resort)

Hope this helps others who have been tryi...

I think it's funny how Apple can be getting people's money so easy in today's economy. People are lined up outside a store for a phone that is only slightly better than the one they overpaid for last year. The biggest difference will be the addition of enterprise software. But do I really want to conduct business with a device that doesn't have a keyboard? I have a phone with a touchscreen and I can't stand texting on it, let alone typing email.

Amazing.
