I'm switching from T-Mobile to AT&T, any advice on the best phone for under $150?

Will this come to the US? will it sell? is it an innovation? or a waste of time?

without going through Customer Care? I just don't want to go through the hassle, and I promise this isn't a dig against Customer Care, but I don't want to have to walk someone through the process. If there's anyone who knows of a website, it's you guys.... plus, I bought it off eBay, so who knows if it's been stolen...

I saw a commercial the other day for unlimited talk and unlimited texting. Now, I'm not dumb or not up on my research, but my call center has this TERRIBLE habit of not rolling stuff out to us until the DAY of the change, and I for one, am sick of it. I wasn't aware we had anything involving unlimited talk unless they're finally going to promote the crap out of Unity plans and the mobile-to-mobile, mobile-to-ATT landline unlimited calling. Does any one who actually works directly for the company have any information on what's being/going to be offered so I have at least a little heads up??? I am tired of the ads being more current than we are, and falsely advertising ("4.99 unlimited text" ring a bell?)

Im going to get this phone next week, will be at&t branded, both on the phone and software? Im gettin the black one if that helps at all.

Have any agents actually been contacted by Apple and been given the go ahead to carry the iPhone?

We were given a number to call but nothing back yet. They state thay are in "high level negotiations" but won't tell us anything else.

What is the impact on the reception strength for phone sets without the 850 GSM band?

When I look at GSM world website, it seems like both 1900 and 850 GSM bands have equal coverage density in the US (especially the Midwest).

Is it a matter of lost opportunity for more coverage? Why Cingular is going the 850 route instead of continuing with 1900?

How can Cingular claim fewer dropped calls when they don't track dropped calls? I drop calls all the time, and so do my friends in KY and OH. When I called Cingular to find out why my dropped calls don't show on the bill as dropped (and there IS a code), they told me they don't track dropped calls.

Hmmm. Is that why they say an independent research firm rated them? Did they just fail to mention to the firm that "0=dropped calls" was a result of not tracking them?

Am I the only one amazed by this?

When is the big "new" carrier at&t (lil caps now) getting some new smart phones?? 😕 ?? by the power of grey skull the freaking pretty 🤭 boys in pink at Tmobile have better smartphones than we do. Please hurry and come out with something worthy like the 2125 again; small, compact and useful. yeah yeah no comments about the iPhone 😈 , i know just like everyone else but i don't want to be tied down to that thing quite yet, plus that thing is going todo wonders on drunk dialing 😛 .

If you live in an area with poor signal that there is a device to hook to your broadband connection. Almost like having your own tower in your house. If anybody knows of any articles about this please let me know. I have looked in the news section for 2007 but didn't find it so I don't know where I have seen it...

i was asked today by a customer
"can you get the iphone unlocked?" of course fcc law states that any phone can be unlocked if the customer requests it...

the real question is once you get it unlocked, how do you get a new sim card in it? it has a fixed batery cover, so we cant just take the batery out and put our own sim chip in it.

i havent heard anything saying that there is a specific "hatch" or door for an existing customer to put his old sim chip in.

so how do existing customers get their numbers into this iphone?

I am contemplating switching to At&T. I was just wondering if there will be any price breaks for new customers purchasing the iphone? I figure if not, I could always get another popular phone they are offering discounts on and sell it on ebay to offset my iphone pricing...if so, what is Cingular's most expensive, popular phone? Problem #1 sending pix and phone would power down and turn back off. Reset phone works fine.
Problem #2 Bluetooth; does not work. I've had the other bluetooth head set device turned on and a few feet away from the Nokia and still is not able to "find" the device. Had another cell phone with bluetooth, my Nokia showed me unable to locate other device. What is going on? This is the 2nd Nokia 6126 I've had. HELP. What are some suggestions. Anyone?
