As I reflect back on my career in the wireless industry, there remains a few things I will never miss....

1. Water splashing on my desk when opening the back of a phone, while the customer says, and I know I get a free one, cuz I've never got it wet.

2. Raheem, who came in pissed because we "screwed up his bill." After 5 minutes of verbal abuse, I say "So if I can clarify, You're from Saudi Arabia, and the calls on your bill are to Saudi Arabia, but we just put them on there to jack your bill up?.....right.

3. Sam, a former co-worker who pulled every Nigerian scam to con me, and the company. Glad you got canned. And all the other wireless scammers out there who pull shady activations that should have been upgrades.

So, according to all the new advertisements from apple, customers will have to renew their contracts to get the iphone...?

Please tell me this isn't true, I've been telling customers that they can sign up in lets say february and just buy the iphone outright in june.

It allows you to get a free i phone. They should not delete this post since they are advertising it. I have already done it and got approved for signing for all the offers and they will be sending my iphone in a month!
When you are finished signing up for all the offers, wait like six days like I did and call and cancel all of them and if you recieved anything in the mail, return it to sender. You will still get your free iphone!

For the new "at&t" Alpha Tags for existing customers, has this process started in any part of the country yet?

It does, I have been told because the ant is at the bottom of the phone? If that is true, does it make that big of a diff? and if so, why the hell do that?

also, is there anything i can do other than throw it away or take it back, those are not options.

Hello everybody, I live in Florida and i am looking for a good solid cell phone provider. 1st thing i need and look for is good pda devices such as blackberry and treos. At the moment i am with T-mobile in my first 30 days of service might cancel them. Does AT&T/Cingular get the good phones? Or are they behind on good releases?

2nd thing is who could i rely on for good email/internet when i am in florida and when i travel?

3rd is AT&T/Cingular solid on not dropping calls, or do they have problems also?

Starting in Mid-Late April all new devices sold will have the new ATT alpha tags. Network teams will work to update everyone's phones starting late april-early may. They are hoping for about 800,00-1,000,000 a night, so it will prob take 2-3 months to complete.

I wanna switch just for the Iphone. What should i expect? Do they have a $39.99 plan with unlimited nights and weekends like i do now? Will i have to pay extra for a data plan to use the Iphone? When i switch over will they do a credit check? Can you buy phones and accessories and just have them bill it to my account like i do with Verizon? How's the voice quality?

What is taking so long I have not seen any new cities launch for sometime now. I was told it would be here in Honolulu the first of 2007 and nothing. Does anyone know what is going on. Thanks for your help. 😢

hey is any one else getting at least alittle bit excited for the iphone that is supposed to be coming out in less than 2 weeks. i just got the nokia n75 and realized that i do not even have 3g in my arrea so i think i might return and get the iphone. any thoughts.

I haven't seen anything about this yet, only hearsay. Is the iphone going to be the same price with or without a contract? Not sure and appreciate you responses.

i work for at&t customer service and theres always tension between agents and us. personally I've had quite a few agents in corp stores or retails who were great but the majority of them scam the customers from what i believe(even had this happen personally)!! err and this furiates me!! I'm not saying that they are all bad but it seems like we have to always fix everything they screw up. we get quality scores on our calls all the time just would wish they had like quality people in the stores to catch them when they do stuff or just ignore the people and say call customer service for that and don't even any way shape or form try to help the customer. unless they want to buy something then they hop right on them!! and another thing hate is c...

I recently purchased a Cingular 8525 and want to sync it with my work Email. We use Lotus notes and apparently it doesnt work with xpress mail. Anyone have a suggestion on what I can do the get my email to my phone? I dont seem to be able to just auto-forward it to another account either. thx in advance

I was wondering how much it might cost for around 900 mins, 3000 texts, and the internet. Not familiar with the plans at cingular and if this is going to be a Pda plan. I am looking to upgrade my 8700 to see if I can get better phone quality. I don't need a camera or mp3. I do like the idea of wifi. I am an ATT customer. Should I get the 8800, 8300 or wait for the wifi at the end of the year? Any advice? Thanks.

I have been reading about the upcoming TDMA shutdown but AT&T never warned me that it would happen NOW! My messages kept saying 2008. I just made a trip to Northern Maine and was surprised to find out my phone stopped working outside my local area. I depend on that phone which is installed in a vehicle and was very inconvenienced by the lack of service and lack of warning. Upon return home a stop at AT&T informed me that they had canceled roaming agreements with other carriers for TDMA. They told me I had to go GSM but they didn't know any phones with install kits. I asked if the lack of service would reduce my bill since I now had to pay "Americanroaming.com" for cell service and they said absolutely not! I understand upgrading but I don'...

i need help 🙂 i am a cingular customer, have been for 3 months. love the service, i always have a signal but I HATE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!! they are the rudest people I have ever talked to. i want to get a blackberry phone. i love the curve. but i am also considering switching to verizon and getting the new blackberry they just came out with. the thing is verizon doesnt have early night and weekends but they do have insurance on their phones, all of them. i dont know what to do. i like cingular even thoug hcustomer service sucks but i am skeptical paying $500.00 for a phone and if something happens to it then i am SOL and would have to buy a new phone. so, suppose my wife left her phone in a bag that kinda got slightly wet..

I took about the battery, sim let it dry out, but now all it does is have the red screen of death..
we've only had the phone for a 6 mos. Is it repairable? will i be able to get a refurbished phone cheap?
any ideas [and i don't want to cheat anyone] but I'd like to keep this inexpensive..
