Has anyone heard anything about a release on this phone? Is this for sure going to be a at&t release. One more thing, do any of you reps have any idea how to get a hold of the moto sales rep for at&t employees? I keep in contact with my nokia and sony reps but I think we have new moto reps for my market. I'm in the dcs carolina market. Any help would be great, thanks!

If I got a curve as a backup or as part of my selection would I have to change my data plan? (I currently have the Data connect plan)

OK, so this isnt anything new....a lady came in with her old v180, and wants to upgrade.. ok, so far I'm on board.... then I see it a $29.99 plan... and of course, she wont change it.

Then she says, I want your best deal. I told her, I may be able to offer a better price, but it often reserved for customers who add media packages or other data services, at that point she say I always get a free phone, if you want my business, I want a free phone!

She left to go to Verizon......... boo-hoo!!!

AT&T Beefing up EDGE Network in Anticipation of iPhone

In spite of the hype, remaining questions and overall speculation still remaining about the iPhone in the final weeks before its June 29th release, carrier AT&T may be doing what it can from its end to ensure a technically smooth launch.

According to Gizmodo, which cites an anonymous source in AT&T's operations deparment, AT&T has been performing last-minute refinements on its EDGE network for as many as six weeks. The changes, which went unannounced, are aimed at improving the network's throughput, latency and coverage.

I work in the airport and some guy came by today to by something from me. He is part of the design team for the Moto2. I was like "Can I see your phone"...it was awsome. Ive NEVER seen another phone like it...It is thinner...but its long... Think SAMSUNG SYNC LONG... It DOES have the JavaLinux operating system, and he said it will be released in the united states for Cingular Tentitivly In July. And August for Verizon Wireless.

Its beautiful and Its well worth the money. No price yet. Buy its NICE!!!!! Well worth a 2nd and 3rd look. But I would buy it asap.

since the rumors started about the iPhone.....i wanted it. But now that the realse date is getting closer..Im thinking. If i ever lost or damaged that phone, i would prob. cry. And of course it wont be insured by lockline. I would be so scared to carry it around with me and use it. Ive had a ton of bad luck in the past with losing cell phones,,,, and damaging them for that matter. I have a se w810 now and i dont think twice about throwing it into my pocket or bookbag.. but the iPhone i would prob. have to put in bubble wrap and lock it onto my belt! I dont know. 500 dollars would be alot to lose..or damage. does anyone else feel like this?

Long story short. Installed it. Loved it. Used it. Hated it. Uninstalled it. Went back to WINMO 5. I think I will wait for the final realease.

Is there any blackberry/Treo type phone that they have, That i would not have to pay the $30-40 for a data plan? I just got rid of my blackberry 7130 cause i didnt feel the need to pay $30 extra to get picture messages..i was just curious if there is a phone with a Querty keyboard without the data plan prices.

This phone is not gor me but for my father.
I want to get him a phone he can use, he never had a cell phone before. So i just need something very easy for him to read and basic for him to use. I dont know much about phones so I was hoping someone can help me. I narrowed it down to the LG400 pr the SYNC? Which one would you guys reccommend? Or is there any otehr phone on the market you would reccommend over these two. Any advice would be more then appreciated.

If apple really wanted their phone to sell good, they would release it with every carrier just like motorola did with their razr and that was a success.

I live around an hourish from Chicago. How is the coverage around there? I have been with Verizon for many, many years. I have been dissapointed with their phone selections and just their products in general. I have been happy with their coverage however. I almost never have dropped calls. But any extra stuff you want on your phone (And I mean everything extra) is extra money. 4 phones right now cost about $100.00 a month and that is just basic stuff and the lowest amount of minutes offered. No texting, no media, no data. How does Cingular match up? Also, if the map says best, good, moderate coverage, then how good is good coverage? Does this mean that you can still use the phone inside a building?
