To paraphrase a couple of developers I overheard as they were leaving Monday’s keynote: “They sat down and worked on this problem of developer access for six months, and all they could come up with was ‘create a web page?’ I’m not impressed.” While I doubt Apple has spent six months on the issue of developer access—the company has been much too busy working on finishing the phone itself, I’m guessing—I do agree with the conclusion many developers seem to be voicing at this week’s conference: I am not impressed with Apple’s current solution for giving software makers access to the iPhone.

I was wondering. whats the age limit for working in a cingular OPPS att store. Im 16 and looking to get a job and i can tell you I know more about phones and technology than any one person working at my local att stores. the closest store has..lets see. THe middle age cranky mexican lady who barely speaks english. Theres the old guy who dosnt know much about anything cell phone related. And then theres the 20 something year old guy who just talks on his cell phone the entire time. I was at Sams Club the other weekend with my grandmother helping her get a phone for sprint and the Rep. there offered me a job on the spot. But you have to be 18 to work there.

Am I correct?

I would love to get an Iphone but,,,,, I live sort of out in the country and when I look at the AT&T maps 3G is not even close to me. Does that mean some of the fancy things we are seeing on the commercials will not work for me. Does one need to be in the 3G zones to make use of all of its features? Thanks in advance.

The rumor I have heard is that the basic rate plan available with this phone (before tax) is going to be $160 a month.

I'm not sure of the details and what would be included, or even how much truth there is to that price point, but I can't imagine people paying that much a month especially if that only includes about 450 anytime mins.

It did come from a reputable source though and if it is anything like Blackberry's internet service, would be very much enforceable.

Seriously, stop with the IPHONE speculation, bottom line is, no one knows, and this non-stop rumor mill that is going on here is turning into a big joke!!

As we all know the PDA market and the Smartphone market is on the up rise…Several of the current devices just fall short of being a superphone…UMPC's would be a great addition to the carrier line up for all the hi-tech phone lovers out there…wouldn’t we love to replace our laptops phones mp3 players with a single device…? so whats to stop a rep from just adding random FAN discounts? i mean how does ATT check that this particular person is really employed with that company? do they do check ups?

Alright, no one go blabbing to AT&T over this, since I could get fired, 🙄 but I have a bit more information on iPhone availability.

From what I was able to learn, the iPhone will not officially be restricted to new contract customers only, it will be available for those eligible for upgrade.

...and for those buying at the no contract price outside of upgrade, it will be available as well, but only at Apple Stores. AT&T Corporate locations will be left to their own discretion as to whether they will allow no contract iPhone sales. However, given the plan requirements for the iPhone (which I still don't know, but I know it will be expensive), I can't see any salesman allowing that to go out the door without commission atta...

i have a quick question, i ordered a cingular phone from ebay for my girlfriend. the problem is she is on suncom service. im with cingular and i have some connections, so im sure i can get it unlocked. it should work with suncom right? if i get the settings from the internet will the multimedia messages work and internet work? i dont think thats a big deal for her, because they dont work on her current phone....but there are certain perks to your beautiful girlfriend having a really good camera phone with the ability to send you pictures and videos..... 🤤

I just Recently got cingular (att) And my Display says AT&T But My mom who also has ATT says Cingular still. Now I was thinking maybe this was because the tower at her house is still sending out cingular.

But when i am visiting mine will still say AT$T. So Is this because AT$T (cingy) is Programed this into my sim card?

I thought the Carrier can change the name of the display from the tower?

How long can you make an insurance claim after it is added to your accoung? Secondly, the $50 deductable; Do you pay for that by credit card before the unit is shipped, or does it appear on you AT&T bill?
