I am returning my V3xx

This p.o.s. drops calls all the time - it seems every time it wants to transition between 3G and 2G networks (which happens often).

Why-oh-why can't they do it right? 😡

Your dream phone would have...?

Alright then..what i would want the phone to do. First with wimax i would want live video calling. next slim casing full touchscreen but with the option of keys like (http://www.mobileslash.com/2005/05/19/nokias -new-n-gage/) or (http://blog.scifi.com/tech/archives/2006/10/ 03/black_box_phone.html)

the multitouch feature should be standard along with wifi just incase the 4g isnt available large ram removable battery, regular SD port...mini's arent that compatible with other products. changable os systems. Not everyone likes windows/palm/linux/apple...but might like the samephone...camera like the samsung f700 5mp wouldnt be bad with FLASH offcourse...GPS navigation built in like the TOM TOM software...and a battery that can power the devi...

Iphone Release Date?

http://www.boygeniusreport.com/2007/05/05/apple-ipho ... »

While everyone knows that the Apple iPhone is coming out in June, there has been a significant amount of speculation as to its precise date of release.

Apple has been elusive as usual on the matter, stating only that the phone is "scheduled to ship in late June." The Boy Genius Report received an interesting piece of information at our world headquarters today, and it may shed some light on the iPhone release date confusion.

According to an official letter sent to all corporate AT&T employees, the Apple iPhone launch will take place on June 15th with the launch period extended until the 15th of July.

AT&T isn't even approving their employees from taking...

Sonyericsson

Does anyone know if Sonyericsson is going to have US versions of W910 and P990, with the 850 band?

Even their Pli, yet to be released PDA phone will not have the 850. Not having 850 band means 50% reduction of signal strength in my area.

I am tired of my treo 680 crashing when I answer call. I replaced it once already.

Pearl on GoPhone.. Some questions

Someone I know might be giving me an at&t Pearl for free and since I already have Verizon post paid, I would be using this Pearl with GoPhone. But I have some questions:

1. Pearl has Push To Talk. Would it work with GoPhone? What is the cost?

2. What would data cost. I think I heard like $0.001 per KB on regular PDAs and smartphones, but does it change for BlackBerries? If you are using Push Email would it constantly be racking up Kilobytes?

Bluetooth Dongle with Samsung C417

I am trying to get my new Samsung C417 to be recognized by my home PC. I am using a bluetooth dongle and it is not being recognized. Anyone know why ? Is there something I can do to get it to be recognized? I didn't think I needed to buy a USB cable because I have the dongle but its not being found. Any ideas/suggestions? Thanks!

AT&T Prepaid Shenanigans; Theft is easy when you redefine words.

http://consumerist.com/consumer/prepaid-calling-card ... »

http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/news/columnists.nsf ... »

AT&T is charging users of its prepaid calling cards up to eight minutes per minute spent making an in-state call.

The practice began in February and affects in-state calls made from every state except Illinois, Indiana, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts.

AT&T claims it is required by the FCC to pay the in-state connection fees set by each state. That would be nice, except according to an FCC spokesman, "Calling card rates aren't regulated. Period."

The Executive Director of t...

Transcript of my call with a veteran

I work in prepaid customer support. The other day, I got a call from a man wanting to know why his new phone wasn't working. I am going to give you as accurate an account as I can of the call.

ME: Thank you for calling Cingular Wireless, now the new AT&T. My name is Bob and I will be helping you today. Can I start by getting your cell phone number area code first?

CUST: Yeah, my phone isn't working. I just paid $100 for this phone and I cannot make any calls.

ME: I am sorry to here that, sir, but if I may have your cell phone number area code first, I will be more than happy to find out why it is not working for you.

CUST: Yeah, let me get it. (3 MINUTES OF SILENCE. PER POLICY, I WAS ABOUT TO READ A DEAD AIR SCRIPT WHEN HE CAME ...

Should I switch for a Pearl?

I have 6 months left on my Verizon contract, or $175 ETF. I want to upgrade to a Blackberry, and like the pearl the best.

Is it truly worth it for the money.

Verizon unlimited data with 450 minutes = $79.00

Cingular?

Thanks,
Dan
