Are there any AT&T (Cingular) dealers in here that know whats going on with the sim cards?
Why hasn't Cingular responded to Vz's claim on network reliability?
2- Network integration was completed more than six months ago...
3- Doesn't fewer dropped calls mean better network?
Just pointing this out over here... I'm sick of seeing on TV those commercials about how Verizon has a "more reliable" network when I know for sure than in my market they don't! TDMA was recently shut down and I guess those towers were converted to GSM cuz my reception got ever better than it was last year... I have full bars throughout my city... I mean FULL bars.... The lower my phone gets is 2-3 bars and this is in a friends apartme...

Revenue/Morale Must Be Low At Verizon...
Wrong! Companies only come out with promotional gimmicks because something is going wrong. Usually revenue is down and this way they can attract new customers, or they did not meet the intercompany goal of customers they wanted to have signed up with their service...
I had a chit chat with mi padre, who has worked for numerous Oil Field Equipment companies in many different Financial Departments, all of them specializing in different fields, and he pointed out the same thing...

NEW YORK (AP) -- Verizon Wireless and Sprint Nextel Corp. are introducing a BlackBerry e-mail phone that's compatible with the cellular technology more common in other countries in addition to the standard used on their own U.S. networks.
One key difference between the Verizon and Sprint versions of the new BlackBerry 8830 is that Sprint's will be ''unlocked,'' enabling customers who take the device abroad to buy wireless service in other countries through other carriers. Verizon's 8830 is locked so that it can only be used overseas through Verizon's roaming service.

I HATE talking to people on CDMA! I HATE IT!!!
I don't care others say. CDMA is HORRIBLE!!! I know by now it's not the phone. I've met people recently on CDMA. This guy called from his Mojo phone. (Mojo uses Sprint's network) Horrible! I thought maybe it was a crappy phone cuz after all, what's Mojo wireless anyway? Then earlier this week a family member called me from her "new" phone (ported from Sprint to Verizon) Still sounded just like before. At least on Verizon her calls don't garble, but still. She sounds so low and mumbled. I HATE asking people to repeat themselves, and with her it's a frequent thing. Now, this evening a friend who I had not talked in almost 2 yrs called me and left a message (I missed her call) and I can tell she's still o...

Since this happened, Cingular has removed ALL info about the iPhone, especially the actual Talking Points, from CSP. It now says that it is unavailable. Sounds like Cingular was PO'd about the leaked info.
HA!

AT&T buying Alltel ??? WSJ thinks so -
Alltel: The Swan Song Purchase of AT&T’s Whitacre?
AT&T’s Ed Whitacre is a rare breed of CEO who’s actually made his shareholders money doing acquisitions, and the company’s earnings report today has got investors guessing about who may be next on his target list.
AT&T reported first-quarter net income that nearly doubled to $2.85 billion, helped by a breakneck acquisition binge in the past few years in which the company formerly known as SBC Communications swallowed AT&T Wireless, AT&T itself and, most recently, BellSouth. The gains have helped boost its stock price to almost $40 a share from $25 in the past year, adding nearly $100 billion in market value. It’s no wonder that with Whitacre pushing AT&T’s re...
