I now have a different carrier but was wondering if Cingular/ATT is able to pull up a past bill(from Feb) and print it for me? Thanks!

Why do people still like the Razr?

I really just don't get it. The Motorola Razr has been out for what..something like 5 years now? In the world of technology, that makes it an antique. I personally never cared for it from day one. I never liked the width and style. Sure, it's nice and thin. But the width makes it look like a huge leap backwards. It reminds me of an old analog Motorola Piper flip-phone that I had back in the '90s. I realize that it's a personal preference thing and there are many people who like it. But why in the world does Motorola keep updating this same tired old design? I remember when the Razr was the cool new phone to have. Now, it seems like EVERYONE has one (plus 3 older out-dated versions at home in a drawer). When I shop for a phone, my...

750 or 8535 for international travel

I have a Treo 650 and it is ok. The phone part is not good. Volume is low, wired headsets don't work with it and bluetooth ones too much wind noise. It works well in my car with built in bluetooth, though it will not upload my contacts.

I travel to Canada a lot and have a Canadian phone, but use my Treo for email, but then have Data roaming.

Is the WiFi in the 8525 going to help reduce my data roaming? Also, is the phone part on either one better than on the 650?

Cingular kicked me off thier service! LOL!!!

I guess its my fault that my phone roams off of TMobile just about everywhere in Queen Creek Arizona because thier network is so poorly built out here. I just recieved a letter telling me I am being cancelled off thier network because of excessive roaming usage. Cingular is a freakin joke because you cant tell if your roaming off network, the phone always says Cingular regardless. Secondly, I live in zip code 85242 which is supposedly inside Cingulars coverage area so its not like I pulled one over on them and gave them a phony address just to get the service and then purposely use the phone off network. Cingular is a Bush League carrier and Im actually a little glad that I have to find another service provider.

Things I Hate...Part 1

I hate it when customers do not listen.

Example:

ME - May I have your cell number area code first?

CUST - 90210 -OR- Yeah, I'm trying to add money to my account -OR- My phone isn't working.

PROBLEMS:

First of all, I asked for your cell phone number AREA CODE first, not your zip code. Second, even if you "hear" zip code, your answer should've been 90210 555-1234. Thirdly, I did not ask what you why you were calling. I asked for your phone number. I will find out why you are calling AFTER I pull up your information.

I hate it when customers DO listen, but hear only what they want to hear.

Example:

ME - You have the Best Value plan which is $0.10 per minute, $1 a day and free mobile to mobile.

CUST - So it is ...

Pay-as-you-go phone coverage

I was thinking about getting a Cingular Pay-as-you-go phone, but the PAYG coverage where I live is LOUSY and LIMITED to say the least (I live in WV and the only coverage I'm seeing is on I-64 from Charleston heading west)! What I was wondering was if anybody knows if you can roam off network. Contract Cingular customers have OUTSTANDING coverage, just about all over the state! By-the-month GoPhoners have pretty good coverage and if it's still like it was when I had a by-the-month plan with AT&T, then they can roam and still make and take calls and send normal texts. Does anybody on here have a pay-as-you-go phone? Can somebody tell me what happens when you go off network? Are you just screwed with no coverage or can you roam? HELP!!

Cell Phones: My Career?

I work for Cingular Wireless, now the new AT&T prepaid customer support. I have been doing this for about 15 months. I love this industry. I am seriously thinking about making it my career. I realized how much I love my job recently when I was contemplating getting a second job. Not just any job, but a job at a Cingular Wireless, now the new AT&T corporate owned store. I would work full time doing customer service and part time doing sales. The first thing I though was "I'm crazy!" Then, I realized that I love my job and this industry. I have always been a fan of technology and what better technology than cell phone to become my career. I have Phone Scoop and Engadget Mobile saved to my favorites on my computer and view them at least once a ...

What is up with Cingular.com and New Phones?

Today, the LG CU500v and Nokia N75 were posted on Cingular.com. The CU500v is simply the CU500 with video sharing software, but the Nokia N75 is one of the best reviewed and highly anticipated phones in a while. It is a 3G Symbian smartphone with music capabilities. They were posted this morning, along with an AT&T branded LG CU400, but the Nokia was removed after a few hours and the CU500v shortly after. WTF? Do we have them or not? Are they launched or not? Who the (bleep) messed up? Just ranting.

8525 with Cing now or wait for Sprints 6800

Looking for advice on whether to get the 8525 now or wait for the 6800 later in the year. Looks they are awfully similar, so it seems to come down to service. And the fact that I can get the 8525 today...

I know the answer to this, but just humor me...

Will Cingular let you sign a new contract before your eligibility period and get a new phone at the promotional price?

Why Should I switch to Cingular?

I live in Alabama, and am currently on TMobile.

I feel like in the next month, when my plan ends, that I am going to switch to Cingular.

But, the only reason why is because of their coverage. Should there be any other reason why I should switch besides coverage and rollover?

Their phones aren't too impressive to me.

Customer service & or coverage and service???

I have been reading up latley on Phone Scoop, and have some questions I have got some replies as to why GSM is better, than CDMA, I have been thinking about switching to ATT cause they have newer better faster phones 3G , and it seems it takes about a year for them to trickle down to CDMA networks, and I also belive that 3G is faster that EVDO, but I am concerned about coverage & recption & customer service.
Most people who have GSM phones on here say call quality is better.
But I want to know cause I live in a major metro area and I only know two people who have ATT, the rest have verizon, alltel, or t-mobile. So how do they figure they have 60 million customers, or are they counting land lines?
Anyway, So I went to JD Powers website and...

that they just automaticall change you features without notice.

my last bill shows me still using my older 19.99 media max 1000 txt unlimited pix and 5mb on my 2 lines.

TDMA still active in Chicago?

Hello,

I work with someone who still has a Nokia 5120 in the western suburbs of Chicago and they said the phone still functions. I thought the TDMA network was turned off last month. They are upgrading to a RAZR V3xx today.

DOH!!! Problems....

My streak has ended and now the problems begin. For about the last 5 or 6 days people have been telling me that they get the dreaded "all circuits busy" message when they call my phone. I tried it myself and confirmed. Now it just rolls to voicemail. Called Customer Service and they troubleshooted for about an hour. I can call out just fine but no incoming. CS rep says my sim is not registering on the network. I am Cingy Blue SIM and Moto V551 Blue handset. Rep says go to store to check sim and phone, store can't check as they do not have blue sims or unlocked phone. Store says they are shutting down access to blue customers and I will continue to have this problem. Any thoughts or ideas? My market is far northwest Chicago.

getting greedy

Since the merger I have steadily watched agent locations in my area get the "30 day letter". In the last 2 weeks alone I have witnessed the closing of 5 agents in my market. This isn't just the "bottom feeders" as they were referred by districts and regionals, they are now taking the top of the list too. I asked my district rep that was here 10 minutes ago how they can close "in touch wireless" since they had a constant mrc of greater than $65, fetaures over $18 and a ton of activations each month and her response to me was "they are taking too much away from our cor location in the area."
Now I am worried as all of my stores are above what they ask for and we just barely trailed in touch. I think its b.s. that they are doing this especia...
