I have to say

I work for T-Mobile and when i saw the Iphone on the internet I watched the unavailing video and it was like looking into the future. I got the same feeling looking at that phone that i did when I first played Mario 64 on super Nintendo. This phone is so far and away the most advanced phone or Ipod or any mobile device ever created I am seriously going to give up my employee T-mobile plan for that phone. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

about wi-fi on a phone

i see alot of people who won't get pda plan but will use wi-fi

i know wi-fi is free but is it really as far as for phones? don't you need a pda plan to connect without charges?

i know wi-fi is just a free service but does mean free web for phones?

Really Hate How The Black Jack is being advertise...

don't get me wrong, im glad that cingular is FINALLY doing some phone advertising other than the razr. but advertising a pda like the black jack is bringing in alot of unwanted customers.

for example:

alot of people (hicks, dumb, old, naive)are under the impression that the black jack isn't a pda. they believe its just a really cool phone, and thus, expect it to be just a regular phone with no data features....WRONG!

im getting alot of teenage snobs with their blackberry pearl they got with t-mobile without a pda plan. they want the phone cuz it's the hottest thing out there. don't really care what the phone can do......WRONG!

im getting ignorant parents who said that their 12-year old wants this phone for xmas (of course they wa...

New Phone Advice

My Motorola CRPR (read crapper) broke and this time it doesn't look like I can raise it back to life. I want a phone with a qwerty keyboard to text with, but don't have to have all the pda stuff since I don't need to check my email constantly. Any suggestions?

ralph_on_me I have a question for you!

I have a question for you since you have been the most helpful, and you or someone else may have said something already but here it goes.

Could I set up my yahoo.com account on my Outlook email, and then sync it to my phone? is that possible?

Please let me know if it is, thank you.

8525, Treo 750 or wait on iPhone?

I'm looking to upgrade and I'm looking at one of the PDA phones (just to make life easier).
I like the Wi-Fi on the 8525....which the Treo seems to be missing. I realize some don't like the WM5 OS, but I want to eventually use it with a Slingbox (would the OSX on iPhone be compatible?)
Are there any other features either missing from one device or that would be superior on one device compared to another? Even though it's much more than a phone...it is still a phone...which has the better reception? I live in AL, and travel all over the state with my job. Excellent reception is a must!

Any suggestions?
TIA

Sprint tanks again....

Well Sprint/Nextel's results are out and it seems they tanked again, this time in the 4th quarter. With this in mind, how does everyone think Cingular will fare for new adds this quarter?

All you great reps out there, do you know if there are any special incentives/better plans either by changing to a family plan before or after the name change? Thanks!

VZW is talking more about the iphone than Cingular...

I think its funny that VZW is already bashing the iphone, but in the cingular forum, the carrier that is going to have it, is saying nothing...what gives?

Cingular will have the rights atleast till 2009. Just like someone else said, they have already posted 2 year contract prices.

Why did Apple go with Cingular? Most likely because of customer base (largest customer base), best network (and dont flame, its a personal opinion), easiest network to integrate, GSM is far superior with CDMA and is easier to manipulate and upgrade. Im pretty sure Apple had alot to do with it, not Cingular. Apple most likely did their own studys, their own research before choosing a carrier. Do you really think that Apple, one of the largest companies in America, would have chosen a no good, horrible, drop every call, no service, outage...

iphone

With the soon to be released iPhone (June 2007) one has to wonder, if this was Game 7 of an sports event and the teams are Cingular and Verizon, I think Cingular takes Game 7 in a laugher!!! ๐Ÿ˜ GO CINGULAR!!!!

The iPhone is potentially HUGE news for the industry

I really believe that Apple is going to drive Cingular to rethink the way they do business with high end consumer customers. Instead of looking to grow revenues from selling ringtones and music, smart carries will begin to compete with services that are value creating and not simply gouging a captive base. The random access e-mail Apple showed off is a great example of this kind of service.

This high end market is small, but very profitable. And ultimately demand for these services will grow as they always do. Cingular is going to be forced to think differently if they really want to operate as a partner with Apple. That's going to be painful for management, but it will make for a much stronger company in the long run.

Just my $0....
