Opinions on my next upgrade: N75 vs. A707 (aka Cingular Sync)

Just wondering what you guys think. The specs on the phones are very similar except that the N75 does not support HSDPA where as the 707 does.

I currently have a craptacular V3 and I'm dying to ditch the thing. I haven't owned a Nokia since my old skool 6160, which I friggin loved. The call quality, durability, and battery life on that thing was great. Is this a common trait among Nokia's handsets? I have never owned a Samsung, although my wife had a Samsung SGH-S307 for about 2 years and never had a problem. Anyone know of any problems with Sammys?

Any comments, opinions, flames would be appreciated! 😉

Reps; switching phones

Hey I had a question for all the other reps out there, how often do you guys switch phones.

During my two years working for Cingular I have actually purchased 3 phones. I bought a black razr when they came out (still working great today) a pink slvr for my girlfriend, and yesterday I bought a Samsung a707. But I only purchased the phone because it really popped out at me and it is a great price. Usually I just have the company give me a phone to use with my COU line. I have usually switch out phones every two or three months, sometimes less.

Since we have all these awesome data devices coming out I am itching to get one of them too. Does anyone else compulsively buy phones as much as I do when you can just as easily request one fr...

Cingular vs. Verizon?

My wife has Cingular. I've got Verizon. We're finally about to get on the same plan. Which way to go? I've been with VW for 5-6 years and have been satisfied but I've never been with another carrier. She hasn't used her phone much but recently had some problems with it and unresponsive customer service (brick & mortar guys). I was going to bring her to VW but am now considering Cingular because of bundling cost advantages. I'd love to hear opinions on how the two compare. I don't care about ringtones. What's important to me is the clarity of the reception and dependable service availability. We live in So. California. Are there any other resources I could consult/research? Lastly, if I do go with Cingular, which phones are recommended - basi...

Cold weather, less talk time?

My brother keeps telling me that his SLVR doesn't last as long as it used to due to the cold weather. 😕 He says that sometimes his phone (when outside his pocket) gets very cold and the phone will start beeping cuz it's almost dead. Is he crazy? Is the phone bad? I don't know what to tell him.
