Cingular sim Cards

I accidentally bought a regular Cingular Sim card when I meant to buy a prepaid GO Sim card. Is it possible to use the regular Sim card for the prepaid service? Its a brand new Sim card. Any feedback would be great.

TEXT MSG

Just wanted to know if anybody had any insight on Cingular and their text msg packages. Do you think they will ever have unlimted text and web like t-mobile does. If I didn't like cingular's phones so much I think I would make the switch.

UMTS roaming in non-GSM Countries

I may travel to South Korea and Japan in the future. They don't use GSM at all there but when I heard they use UMTS in those two countries, I got excited. I know it's cheaper to get a phone from there locally but I'd actually rather just use my existing phone there for emergencies.

I'm thinking of getting the 8525 which will have all three UMTS bands and I've been trying to get information on whether that phone will be ok for Japan and South Korea.

It looks like Japan is okay but South Korea is kinda iffy. Technically it should work but Cingular would need to have the right agreements in place and I can't find any information stating that they do. Anyone here know anything about that? =T

What's up with disabling

So why does Cingular or any of them in fact disable features?

That is just stupid. Like disabling the wifi on units.

Phones without carriers?

Is there a good website to go to to buy phones that are not affiliated with any carriers? Or are phones only released if there is a carrier to release them?

Motorola A1200

Hello. I am very interested in the Motorola A1200, but from the info that I have been able to review, it is not available in the US, through the major carriers. Does anyone know if I do decide to purchase the phone, if it will work with Cingular? I would really hate to spend all that money one something I can't use.

Thx

Push To Talk Minutes

So I am thinking of upgrading to a PTT phone & have a question about the minutes. Do they get rounded up like traditional voice minutes? Or do they get charged by the second-grouping, similar like Nextels 6-second rule?

cancellation fee

ok, so here's the deal. I have a younger sister, who is absolutely OBSESSED with text messages! She had 3500 last month, and I'm feeling terrible for my parents. I currently am the director of communications for my company, but I've never worked with a cancellation before. What will it cost to cancel here account to switch her over to terrible Tmo?

Old AT&T TDMA customers, service?

A friend of mine got a notice with his bill (He has TDMA) and he is now being charged the $5 / month. My question is- What kind of service benefits would he get if he waited until the very end of TDMA to switch? Would Cingular give him a huge discount on service?

Office of the President

I had a customer who called today and he literally screwed himself. First, the account is in his wife's name. He is an authorized user on the account though. He has a Cingular 3125. He initial had the Media Max 200 package which has the unlimited internet access. About a week ago, his wife called in and changed it to a Media Basic package which only includes 1MB. Well, he did not find out until today. So, he called in to see if we could change it back and credit the overages he already had totaling 108034kb or $1080.34. None of which has been charged/billed yet.

Well, at the same time his wife changed the plan, she also added an account password and a priority note stating that no changes were to be made without verification of the pas...

AT&T.... Cingular..... at&t .....WHAT THE #$%@???

AT&T dumping Cingular at the end of the year? No wonder they have changed my upgrade status early. I bet if I buy a new phone the new two year contract will be different & cover the terms of service so I can't get out during the transition,

Any body have a clue of what this will mean for the average customer? I remember going from AT&T to Cingular. NOW they want us to go back?

Will this free me from my two year contract> TERMS OF SERVICE ANYONE???
